Guilliame excuses himself and wanders across to look at the harp. What he with his mage sight is something similar to his own Unseen Servant spell, but he has never heard of an Unseen Servant spell that is this sophisticated. The other unusual thing is that he can see the particle of mana that are being generated by the fire flowing into the harp of its own accord.

Go back to Naomi's table. Tell her there is some fancy magick going on that is much more complicated than I can understand at quick glance. 

"Do you know if this is a visiting act or they appear all the time?"

"They must be visiting," she says. "I've never heard or seen them before, but maybe they're here with that Glory Rahni that I've heard tell about."

"Well it is impressive magick to work the harp that way, and maybe something else as well. Who knows what Mithrans are capable of."

Guilliame and Naomi go back to their food and Guilliame has just taken a bite when the black woman comes back in through the door hurriedly. The talking in the inn stops suddenly as the sound of someone laughing hysterically can be heard from outside the door.

The woman suddenly realises she is the centre of attention and hurriedly closes the door to keep out the sound, then she addresses the whole room saying, "My apologies, but I can perform no more this evening."

She then turns to the innkeeper and says, "Master Nairn. I would like to buy everyone in the room a mug of your house's finest ale for the inconvenience. Please put the price on my tab."

The innkeeper hesitates and then looks around the room at his customers. He then nods and starts pouring drinks.

Meanwhile, the woman has crossed to the fireplace to retrieve her harp.

"That one's got man trouble," says Naomi, with a snort.

"Hmmm. Some sort of trouble anyway. At least we get a free drink out of it. There is something going on with the Mithran church and wider at the moment. I suspect that might be something to do with things as well. Master Fini is obviously worried about religious persecution and there are mobs about. Not a happy time all round."

Naomi nods wisely and then smiles as the innkeeper puts two mugs of ale on the table.

Meanwhile, the black woman has retrieved her harp and left the taproom via the stairs that lead to the guest rooms on the upper floor.

"You still okay to look after the shop tomorrow morning?" asks Naomi, after taking a sip of her new drink.

"Certainly. When are you expecting Sam back? Perhaps we can work shift."

"He said he could come back tomorrow afternoon, but I should be back by then anyway," says Naomi.

Then she adds, "So, what are you going to do tonight? Any plans?"

"I have no plans. Did you have anything in mind?"

"No," says Naomi. "But I thought a youngun like you might have."

She then yawns and says, "Me. I'm going to find my bed. That second mug of ale has put me in mind of sleeping. Want to walk me home?"

"Certainly." On the way back keep an eye out for Alum and anyone/thing unusual.

 Guilliame escorts Naomi to the door and outside where they see the nubian man seated on the ground covered in dirt and looking very dishevelled.

Naomi turns to look away from the man, but Guilliame can hear her chuckling.

The man glares at you as if daring you to say something.

"Good evening." 

"No it's not," he says, turning his face away.

"Leave him, Guilliame," says Naomi. "Take me home."

As Guilliame and Naomi walk away, the black man gets up, brushes himself off and then heads back into the Scholar's Retreat.

Continue home keeping an eye out (not literally).

It is not far from the Scholar's Inn to Guilliame and Naomi's shop, and normally such a trip could be made without problems. However, times are strange, and as they are passing a side streets they both hear a woman's scream.

Tell Naomi to go home quickly and lock the door. Run to the side street and look down.
