"We'll lock it in the safebox. It should be safe provided it's not handled, I think."

"Okay," says Granny Naomi slowly before asking, "And where do we put the coins? I don't want them being cursed."

"Good point but I don't think the coins will be cursed. It is more likely to affect people. Putting it in the chest will keep it safe and out of harms way."

"Okay," says Granny Naomi, still sounding uncertain. "If you are sure. How do you plan to destroy it?"

"I think I'll try brute force. I don't want to use magick on it. But I think I'll talk to someone at the school before I try anything. But I will have to be careful who i talk to."

Granny looks at the stone for a while and then says, "I will leave it in your capable hands... Now, would you like some mutton broth and bread for dinner? And I went out and bought some nice apples while Sam was minding the store today.

"Sounds good. I'll put the money and this stone away in the box."

Granny Naomi and Guilliame have dinner after Guilliame put the stone away in the secure box for the night.

Next day. At the start of the day do an Identification spell on the stone.

Guilliame and Naomi have a nice quiet dinner and both decide to have an early night.

Guilliame wakes suddenly in the middle of the night having heard a sound. Sitting up in bed, his hand gropes for his sword as he listens to hear if the sound is repeated.

There is a distant crash from somewhere out in the street at the front of the shop and then he hears a sound like a tom cat yowling and, moments later, human shouts and the sound of running feet that pass by the entrance to the shop.

Run to the front of the shop listening for sounds of movement. If nothing sounds like it is coming from inside the shop then cast a Dancing lights inside (so that no light creeps outside the shop).

Guilliame grabs up his component pouch, leaves his bedroom and moves into the shop, which he finds empty.

Fetching out his knob of wychwood, he attempts to create some Dancing Lights to illuminate the interior of the shop while not allowing the light to be seen by anyone outside in the street.

Having cast his Dancing Lights, Guilliame is unsure whether he has been successful in keeping the lights invisible to anyone outside the shop. [OOC: Guilliame did not fail and your roll has set the DC for anyone trying to see the lights.] However, he can hear no sounds from directly outside the door, so perhaps it doesn't matter as there may be no one there.

From further way, he can hear people calling out, enquiring as to what has happened. Then there is a shout of 'Guards! Guards! Someone call the guards. There is an injured man here."

Open the front door moving the dancing lights outside. Have a look around without leaving the doorway.

Sorry before that I was going to use the dancing lights to see if there appeared to be any sign of entry into the shop.

After confirming that the shop hasn't been broken into, Guilliame opens the door and sends his Dancing Lights out into the street.

There appears to be nothing suspicious in the street immediately outside, but he can see people with lanterns a little way up the street outside the Fini shop.
