Connak really wants Minsys to engage the shaman, so he tries to kill the boar that is currently engaged with his ally...

... then Connak ducks behind the cover of the foliage to remain out of sight of the lightning spewing boars.

Minsys, fully engulfed in his rage, swings his maul with reckless abandonment.  He wishes to revel in the sound of crunching bones.

Connak's arrow severely injures the boar attacking Minsys, but fails to kill it. It flails and kicks about making a terrible racket as the arrow penetrated its rear vitals and looked as though it might turn and flee into the woods.

Minsys' first maul swing finished the job and put the wounded creature out of its misery. The second maul swing destroyed the animal's brain, ensuring no possibility for it to return as an undead zombie boar anytime soon.

While Tink tangled with the boar in front of her, the half-orc shapechanger circled around them keeping its distance from the artificer as it charged towards Tabesha'l. It looked as though it would bowl her right over, but ground to a halt at her feet just before a clap of thunder erupted from the creature:

Cast (thunderwave): Constitution Save vs. DC 12; taking 15 thunder damage on a failed save or half damage (7) on a success. Each target that fails the save is pushed 10 feet away from the caster.
8 - TABESHA'L
23 - TINK

Tink is able to hold her ground against the shapechanger's clap of thunder. Still she loops around boar in front of her and pulls out a larger cylinder of greenish-yellow liquid. Loading it into the launcher on her gauntlet, Tink sprays a stream of the acidic substance at both the boar and the shapechanger. She then whistles to Whisker and points at the shapechanger, "Whisker get them!"

Move: Move 10ft. around boar.
Action: Cast Tasha's Caustic Brew at level 2 on both Boar and Shapechanger. DC 14 Dex Save or be covered by acid for 1 minute. If covered by acid, take 4d4 acid damage at the start of their turn.
Bonus Action: Command Whisker to attack Shapechanger.


Whisker rushes forward towards the shapechanger and with a metallic sounding growl, claws at it.

Move: Move next to Shapechanger
Action: Force Empowered Rend vs Shapechanger Attack: 21 for 3 force dmg.

 BOAR 7 takes 10 acid damage.

The boar nearest Tink kicked and thrashed as the corrosive substance quickly sunk into its skin. Seconds later, the animal was little more than a pile of bones poking through a deteriorating, gelatinous hide sitting atop a pile of guts and goo!

Vaxis moves 30 ft towards the new attacker (B2), moving his blade 20 ft as can be. At the end of his movement, he utters a prayer. 

"Bahamut, may your divine radiance wash over this heathen!"

(Casting Sacred Flame on B2, Dex Save 14, damage: 6 radiant)

Seeing the number of dead boars laying about and the party closing in on its ally at the other side of the manse, ANCHORITE 3 growls in disdain at Minsys and then turns and runs to the south out of his line of sight.

Tabesha'l rearranges her vestments, as they fell into disarray with the force of that thunderous strike, then  raises an eyebrow as she looks towards the remaining Anchorite:

" Now, truly that was far from necessary... I would like to believe there is always room for a modicum of civilized banter 'tween enemies, but thee hath forsaken thyself now, Oh My Zealotous Fiend !" she declaims in a sonorous, totally overdramatic tone as she releases the last of her meteorites onto the shapeshifting half-orc cultist, then follows by a streak of arcane fire.

4 - ANCHORITE 2

The half-orc shapeshifter takes half damage (6) from the meteors and full damage from Tabesha'l's fire bolt spell.

The two remaining balls of fire crash into the half-orc, exploding on impact, but leaving little damage in their wake. While he was occupied with those, the noble wizard's bolt of fire failed to disappoint, catching the foe square in the face!

Connak doesn't want one to escape, so he runs to a better vantage point and fires an arrow

Longbow Attack: 24 Damage: 12

The half-orc stumbles a bit as Connak's arrow strikes it in the calf, but the enemy is mostly unfazed and continues to flee southward

Minsys will let out a hearty chuckle as he enjoys this battle.  He looks around and sees one out beyond the patch.  He starts running towards it while pulling out a handaxe.  He chucks it.

Handaxe at disadvantage range 60 ft Attack: 13 Damage: 9

The barbarian's handaxe flips end-over-end in a graceful arc, finally landing square in the middle of the fleeing shaman's back. Once again, the escapee seemed momentarily interrupted by the strike, but was nonetheless able to continue running away from the party, largely unharmed.

ANCHORITE 2 takes 10 acid damage. One the other side of the northern lawn, Tink's foul substance smoked and spat as it ate through the shapeshifter's flesh. The strange-looking animal dropped to the ground and thrashed back and forth in an attempt to remove the caustic concoction from its skin.

(OOC: A2 uses his action to scrape off the remaining acid, effectively ending Tink's concentration on tasha's caustic brew.) 

Seeing the opportunity Tink closes in on the shapeshifter and cordinates with Whisker to attack it.

The shapeshifter laughs maniacally as Tink and her steel companion finish the job, almost as if it were happy to shed its blood in service to Gorthok...

Vaxis rushes as close as he can to get in range of his spell, before uttering a prayer to Bahamut. "May your dolorous song smite this heathen where he stands!"
