Dragon of Icespire Peak ***CLOSED***

As his master had commanded, Arvi looks around for some flower pots or other small items to drop onto the heads of the orcs below, and finds a small porcelain washbasin and an old candelabra in the circular room on the second floor. The tiny demon releases the items above the heads of the orcs nearest the staircase:

DEXTERITY SAVE vs. DC 11
8 - ORC 4, taking 5 bludgeoning damage on a failed save.
8 - ORC 6, taking 6 bludgeoning damage on a failed save.

Both items land squarely on the orcs' heads, causing a gash, a small trickle of blood but perhaps injuring their egos more than anything.

Feeling the healing magic surge through him, Minsys stands up a little straighter.  A grim smile meets his lips.  Sure the orc chief has grabbed him so he couldn't leave bit he had no I tension of going anywhere.  He wound back up and lashed out at him twice again.

Minsys' maul strikes the lead orc across one side of his head followed quickly by the other, leaving him dazed and drooling a steady flow of blood. Closer observation would reveal that spinal fluid is also leaking out of his ears as well.

Not having a clear line of sight to throw his javelin, ORC 8 charges forward and rounds on the barbarian and swings his axe sidelong at the small of Minsys' back:

Tabesha'l continues her snipper tactics, popping out through the door just long enough to generate a peal of hurtful ringing around the enemy, before retreating back to her position...

Wisdom (Save): 3 vs. DC 14 (toll the dead)

Tabesha'l's spell clangs a gloomy note, however her target is seemingly unfazed by the spell's effects.

With things looking very grim, Tink tag teams one of the orcs together with Whisker attempting to bring it down.

Three axe swings come at Minsys in rapid succession as the dying warlord and his henchmen aim to take down the barbarian with them (and perhaps drag the half-orc's soul along to meet Gruumsh in the afterlife...)

Connak moves back into the house to stand beside Vaxis for a clear shot at Orc 8 (movement + cunning action Dash)...

Longbow Attack: 12 Damage: 12

... then he uses the rest of his movement to move back out of the house, yelling "Bloodcrushers good at spilling orc blood.    Bloodcrushers die failing to spill flower-blooded folk blood!"

Connak's arrow sails harmlessly wide of ORC 8. With Minsys lying in a bloody heap at his feet, ORC 1 charges towards Tink's mechanical defender in the doorway:

Attack (Greataxe): 11 vs. AC 15 (W.H.I.S.K.E.R.); dealing 15 slashing damage on a hit.

Vaxis reaches into his shirt and pulls out a silver amulet of Bahamut, featuring a dragonhead. He raises it high into the air, and beseeches:

"Lord Bahamut, close my friends wounds and grant them the courage to continue the fight!"

He then whispers a powerful word of healing to Minsys, to further bolster him!

(Using Channel Divinity: Preserve Life PHB, pg. 60, divvying up as such: Tabesha'l 1 point, Tink 5 points, 19 points to Minsys. Then using Healing Word at 3rd level, healing Minsys for 14 damage)

Arvi crosses his arms smugly and pretends to not notice Vaxis' awesome feat of healing on behalf of his dragon deity. The diminuitive demon morphs into its centipede form and makes certain to scurry right across the cleric's feet in the midst of his prayer as he makes his way down the stairs towards Tabesha'l.

Minsys takes a number of heavy blows and drops to a knee.  His body is about to slump and hit the floor when Vaxis hits him with a surge of healing.  His blood stops and wounds mend.  

With a growl he is back up to a knee.  With a roar he his standing.  With two hands he is swinging.

"Grumish has forsaken you for your weakness! Run and cower in fear!"

The first strike blasts the struggling war chief off his feet...the second splatter's the contents of his head across the courtyard as if Minsys' maul had been brought down on a three-month old pumpkin.

"Gruumsh One-Eye rejoices in the slaughter! Be it orc, man and any in-betweens!" bellows ORC 8 as he brings his axe down in a overhanded chop aimed at the back of the barbarian's skull:

" Oh my... this is getting quite unbearably bloody indeed !" Tabesha'l thinks to herself as she once again pops out of the doorway and blasts the nearest Orc with a bolt of searing flames, before retreating out of sight.

"Oh there is a little too much blood for my liking. Oil is the bodiliy fluid of choice for a gnome. Isn't that right Whisker?" Tink and Whisker then tag team to attack the orc before them.

Tink snaps her warhammer a couple of times in quick succession and a moment later, the orc lay dead at her feet, while W.H.I.S.K.E.R. uttered low, mechanical growls at the corpse, not quite sure if it was dead or not.

Though orcs are not known for their intelligence, ORC 2 had been in enough battles to know that he was now on the losing side of this one. But his orcish pride and bloodlust prevented him from retreating, surrendering or even the possibility of a parley for his life. He furrowed his brow, clenched his teeth and tightened his grip on his axe, determined to make Minsys follow him and his kin into the afterlife:

Connak runs back into the house (2 squares left of Vaxis) and shoots Orc 2

Then he will use cunning action dash to stand in the square above Tink, to be able to see Orc 8.

Connak's arrow passes clean through the orc's left eye and out the back of his thick skull. For a few moments, the brute's body continues to mimic the motions of battle, swinging its axe in random directions as the last synapses of its dying brain fired. It looked almost as though some invisible force were controlling the orc like a giant marionette, but then the gruesome puppet show ended and the orc fell over dead next to the others.

 Vaxis sidles near Minsys, shouting "Are you okay, friend Minsys?"

He then draws his mace and attacks!

(Attacking Orc 8. 18 to hit, 5 bludgeoning damage on hit)

Vaxis' mace slams hard down on the last remaining orc's collarbone, eliciting first a shout of pain that transforms into...laughter? It was like the orc almost reveled in the sting of the weapon. The brute smiled at Vaxis, then cocked his head slightly to the side to look at Minsys, as if inviting him to go next.

Outside, Arvi waited impatiently for the others to finish off the last orc so they could be about their task of retrieving the map to the Circle of Thunder from the shaman cultist who had yet to be found. Still in centipede form, he scurried to and fro at Tabesha'l's feet and communicated with her using their telepathic bond.
