Brutus sewing Vaxis move forward, he turns to the other blob. (R1 D2) Rushing forward with his axe raised high, slamming it down into the blob. Bringing all his light and forgoing any form of tactics or technique.
The ominous tone of Tabesha’l’s spell clangs throughout the dusty temple but the ochre jelly seems apparently unphased by her necromantic magic (WIS save: 18 vs. spell save DC: 13).
As Brutus brings his axe down upon the other jelly, he slashes it completely in two. The blobs reform as two smaller versions of the creature he was certain he had just killed.
The larger jelly lurches forward and begins to strike at Vaxis, but an arrow sails past his head and plunges deep into the horrifying mass which seems to flatten across the floor, lifeless and still.

Barric’s arrow flies in between the stone column and Brutus smacking hard into the gelatinous flesh of the ochre jelly, which reels and hisses as it pools onto the floor, it’s life force expended.
The remaining yellow mass propels part of its body towards Brutus, attempting to subdue its prey:

“How’s it going in there?! Are ye dead yet?!” yells Norbus from the temple entrance. “And what’s ochre jelly taste like?” he follows.
”The drool of a black dragon, fer sure,” answers Dazlyn while jabbing Norbus with an elbow. “Oh, and we found a secret passage before them jellys chased us out...there could be more! Of both! Have a good look around in there, ye hear?”

Barric conducts a cursory search of the room but discovers no additional pathways or hidden compartments. He notes that the column to the southeast has been broken open at its base, revealing that it is hollow inside. Spilling out are the skulls of several, perhaps hundreds of humanoids. The other columns appear to be intact.

At that moment, a sickly-looking yellowish semi-fluid began oozing rapidly though the cracks in the ceiling at the entrance to the temple (or tomb?). ROLL INITIATIVE!
Vaxis looks surprised, but regains his composure. He does what he can to help his allies.
”You shall not hurt my allies!”
(I shall remain where I’m at for now, casting guiding Bolt. I’m on my mobile phone at the moment and won’t have access to a computer until later today, feel free to roll for me, or I’ll roll if I get back before you respond)

Seeing the jellies split, Barric takes aim. A difficult shot, but not impossible.
No movement. Shooting at the jelly to the right of Brutus (assuming it has 3/4 cover). Attack: 13 Damage: 4

The last ochre jelly collapses in a vile pool of acidic slime, seemingly devoid of any signs of life.
(OOC: END OF COMBAT)
Connak briefly drops his guard and tries to get through to the raging Brutus, "Hey, don't step in that!"
Once the party can huddle back together, he'll suggest peeking around doors and corners to make sure the rest of the temple is clear.
Brutus gingerly steps over the puddle and reforms with the group. “Good work everyone!” He will say cheerfully

Spending 10 minutes looking around. Perception 11
Barric shouts out a curse in surprise and stumbles back from the skulls, moving out of the room.
"We gave our warning. We killed the jellies. Let us get our reward and begone from this place before we awaken whatever ghosts linger here!"
At that moment, a sickly-looking yellowish semi-fluid began oozing rapidly though the cracks in the ceiling at the entrance to the temple (or tomb?). ROLL INITIATIVE!
INITIATIVE ORDER:
Connak makes a disappointed 'Ugh' sound, then snaps to action and shoots an arrow.
Short Bow Attack: 18 Damage: 12
"Look out!" Connak yells.
As the jelly pours down from the ceiling to the floor, Connak’s arrow narrowly misses the thick strands of corrosive mucus.
Vaxis looks surprised, but regains his composure. He does what he can to help his allies.
