Zeno rubs his chin. “And we don’t know Hemeth’s route to the surface yet. Stumbling around though the underdark being chased by drow and the duergar and a red dragon’s servants seems... not exciting.“
Rhayna thinks for a moment. “What if whatever it is happening in the Underdark follows us to the surface...” Rhayna trails off. She picture the image of Demogorgon stomping the libraries of Candlekeep. Her heart tugs, what would happen if all of that knowledge was lost?

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Rhayna senses that there are doubts in the air. She remembers something, and has a aha moment. "Perhaps Selune may offers us some guidance. Please bear with me for a moment." She retrieves the "stuff" she collected in that tent at Sloobludop from her backpack (lets just say she thought she might have a use for them in the future). She holds them in her closed hands and shakes them while she prays to Selune. She casts Augury, and at the end of her prayer, she tosses the items on the table.
(OCC: Rhayna is out of 2nd lvl slot. This might take a while.)

Most of the items salvaged from Sloopludop are unsuitable for divining, but Rhayna senses that the string of pearls, although not specifically designed for such, might provide sufficient focus for the spell. As she draws out the expensive jewelry, she receives more than one curious look from some of the other patrons in the bar. After engaging in prayer for about 10 minutes, Rhayna drops the pearls onto the table and then focuses on the patterns that she sees... parallel lines: the way is open... a crescent: Selune's blessing... a wing: a sign of power... The feeling that blooms in Rhayna's heart is that clearly this is an omen of Weal.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
(OCC:Question. Is only caster able to see the divination patterns?)
”The Goddess has spoken.” Rhayna puts away the trinkets, and the expensive string of pearls into her backpack. She puts her palms together and bows. “Thank you Selune for your infinite wisdom.” She then addresses her companions. “The way is clear. I can only speak for myself, what each of you do, it is up to you. We should stay and help, for we have the Goddesses blessings. We can start with the Cavern and then investigate the derros. Also, it seems this Dragon patron of ours is key. We should not discount his aid.” She then looks at her companions for their reaction.
(I hope I got it right.)

Sekkar was looking at Rayna's manipulations with much skepticism - Semuanya never bothers to talk to the followers and idea of getting a direct answer from a god was quite alien to him (he staid to the end only to watch over the careless girl openly showing treasures she has in a place like this - and to count particularly curious about possessions of others).
"I said I am with you on all that. My guts says the faster we do it, the better. But if you need rest, let's rest."
The group retires to their rooms again, taking some rest after the short day's activities. Industry carries on in the city for several more hours with the incessant clanging reverberating through the stone walls, and the smog from the forges penetrating even into this underground dwelling, but it soon fades to the normal background noise of grinding gears and flaming forges. Eventually all meet again in the common room, where only two orcs remain in the corner, and they look up only momentarily - eyes lingering a little on Rhayna - before turning back to their conversation.
Walking out into the city again the air feels as heavy and thick as ever, and after so long exposed to this, everyone is starting to feel a bit congested.

The Stone Guard protecting the passage from the Darklake District to the rest of the city seem most reluctant to allow any outsiders to pass, but they recognise the pins bearing the sign of the red dragon, and grudgingly open the gate. Directions aren't easy to come by, as few duergar are about and fewer still are willing to provide a reply much less helpful directions (one even spits a green chunk of sputum directly on Sarith's leg, and several others merely jostle the half-elves roughly as they pass wordlessly), but eventually the group reaches the entrance to a cavern on the west of the city. The stone walls of most of the duergar city are characteristically austere and unadorned, but elaborate carvings can be seen around the walls just within the entrance of this cave, extending inside to form intricate murals on both walls and ceilings. Squatting outside the cavern entrance is a stone giant wordlessly chipping away at a rock in his hand, fashioning it into some kind of as-yet-unrecognisable shape. He looks up as you approach and says in Common: Ah, the dreamlanders! I've been expecting you. The stones informed me of your coming. I am called Hgraam.
