((Since my familiar is from my Pact Chain Kaylyn can sense what he senses up to a mile. He'll need to be within 100 feet of Sekkar to communicate simple ideas, emotions, and images telepathically with him))
Oh sorry. I have trouble keeping track of everyone's abilities, especially when they are exceptions to another rule. In that case, rather than rescind the commentary, I'll just ret-con it.
The faerzress continues to swirl. The loss of connection between warlock and familiar passes as suddenly as it came, and Kaylyn finds the connection re-established after only a brief moment of panic, to once again experience everything that Pensive senses. Pensive turns around again and heads back toward the tunnel.
Droki: Acrobatics: 7 (with disadvantage due to surprise - just made that up).
Sekkar is caught slightly off-guard by Droki's sudden impact, but he quickly grabs him with both arms and pins the wriggling derro fast against his scaly body. Lemme go! Lemme go! squeals the creature.
"Got him!" Sekkar was so excited, he yelled that information. But since no one was around, lizardman just turned back dragging Droki with him to present his trophy to the group. "Stop squirming! Nobody is going to eat you," tried he to calm down wiggly derro, mixing dwarvish and undercommon. "You answer a couple questions and can run anywhere you want."
It doesn't take long for Sekkar to drag the struggling derro back through the tunnels (smaller ones were more difficult as Droki persists in spreading his arms and legs out against the walls). Across the pool he sees normally-sized Rhayna and Zeno on opposite sides of the main passage, but again he takes the smaller side tunnel until he emerges back in the first cave, Stool and Pensive following behind.
Droki wriggles constantly, sometimes attempting to bite Sekkar's arm, sometimes gnashing his teeth and reaching up to slap pathetically at Sekkar's face, sometimes 'commanding' his hat to strike his captor down, but always complaining about being late, and how delaying him will alter fate and cause disaster. It is the first opportunity to see the elusive derro close up, and a few more features become evident. The floppy hat has two stuffed tentacles sewn on to it (of what creature none can tell), which Droki seems to believe will attack his enemies at his command. He also has a satchel that appears to be made of darkmantle hide, which he clutches to most doggedly. Despite the struggling, the under-sized derro and lizardman make a comical sight, almost like two gruesome dolls come to life and wrestling for the right to be placed in the doll-maker's window.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Sekkar whistled to attract attention of "the big" folk and waited until someone would free his hands of the wriggling burden. Only then He took a bite from the purple mushroom to get back to his size (at least he hoped that was the purpose of those shrooms). "Nice gig they have here with shrinking/growing. Someone wants to get a bit taller? I wonder if the shrooms work outside of cave." Sekkar was not sure what they all want from derro, so he let those who do know deal with it and switched his attention to thet curious mushrooms.
As expected, the purple mushroom returns Sekkar to his normal size. The ranger sees no reason why the mushrooms wouldn't work anywhere, although he notices that those he picked earlier already have a slightly shriveled look about them.
Joetaro easily restrains Droki around the shoulders, but it takes Kaylyn, Kastix and Rhayna together to hold his legs. But hold him they do.

The muttering from before has been replaced with an off-key humming, and the smell of rotten meat hits everyone like a slap in the face, although Sekkar probably detects more odours and cares less than the others. Rounding the entrance to the cave, the group see Buppido hunched over and working busily at something on the floor. Stool is trotting toward him across the floor, which is carpeted with humanoid remains in varying stages of decomposition, arranged in a spiral pattern around the cave’s center.
Looking up at Stool's approach, Buppido sees his former cellmates and says: Oh, there you are! He wipes his hands on his vest and smiles viciously. I expected you to find me here, and with my shrine just finished! My faithful are finally honoring me! Will you? Yes. Yes, I sense that you are ready to follow me in death! Faithful, arise! The various limbs and assorted flesh covering the floor appear to be the remains of several derro, deep gnomes, and goblins, as well as a couple of grimlocks. As Buppido spreads his hands wide over his spiral-shaped 'shrine' of flesh, parts of it start to move and form into half a dozen skeletons. Meat still hangs from some of the bones, and strangely each of the skeletons has two skulls. They clatter across the cave on shaky legs and converge on the visitors.
- So much for saying Hello. Roll for initiative! - There are six skeletons, and none seem to be interested in attacking Stool.
