Sekkar called to the flumph - he did not have all day to wander blindly that crazy tunnels. If flumph's curiosity was not strong enough to follow or keep anywhere near, Sekkar returned to contact their new ally: "Hey (how do we call you, by the way?) which way is the "lost one"? Would not want to become one as well."
As Sekkar heads down the passage, Dawnbringer's voice is heard in the ranger's mind saying: That's about the most useless creature I've ever encountered. I hope it doesn't decide to follow. Coming to the fork, Sekkar turned around to seek directions, only to find that the flumph indeed wasn't far behind, not because it was following Sekkar, but rather because it was following Zeno, who had trailed behind Sekkar. It seemed to have taken a liking to the half-elf. Sekkar begins voicing his queries, but the flumph replies in it's usual emotionless dead-pan telepathy, even before the lizardman has finished the questions, apparently picking up the thought by mind first. I have no name. Call me... 'Useless'. I do not know which way.
Dawnbringer quietly says:Oops!
Sekkar instead relies on his tracking skills, and seeing some faint tracks with considerably wider stride than the average duergar or derro, he follows them south, only to come to what appears to be the east end of the fungal forest he encountered earlier.
=====================
In the direction indicated by Rumpadump, a wide tunnel soon becomes clogged with a thick forest of tall fungus. It grows up to eight feet high, and forms a tight thicket, difficult even for Stool and Rumpadump, but it could still be pushed through at a slow pace. There is about 12 feet of clearance between the top of the forest and the ceiling.
Rhayna follows Kaylyn. As she follows, she inspects Stool for abnormal growths.

The crunch of chainlink shifting gives away the form of a humanoid crouched amidst the patches of mushrooms. As Kaylyn calls out, the figure stands up, a 6 foot tall woman with broad shoulders and a muscular body. It's tough to make out much more than her eyes through the grime. Her hair is clotted with gunk and bits of mushroom, her face is dark brown from the smeared mud all over her. Her bright eyes are the only thing not covered in dirt and peer at the group from beneath strands of filthy hair. She wears ill fitting chain mail both too short and too wide for her, though she's done her best to make it fit with straps of leather bound about to hold it in place. A patchwork sack hangs over one back, another leather strap sewn onto it to act as a shoulder strap. A dented shield with a crescent missing from one edge is strapped to her arm and a rusting longsword with a broken handle strapped together is clutched in her other hand. Ill fitting metal clad boots that are dented and have holes in them are strapped to her feet. She looks like she's picked up every chunk of metal she can find and strapped it to her body somewhere. Wisps of shadow dance about her form as she stand, eyes fierce, ready to fight. In undercommon she mutters, "You'll not have me back slavers...not again..." Her eyes dart to each party member, then also dash around the area, looking at the ground as if expecting to see movement of something where there is nothing.
She is breathing unevenly and looks malnourished, and a little crazy.
In elven the woman spits out, "I'm sure you can help me into a slave pen!" She hisses, looking a bit like a cornered animal. She continues to glance around the ground as if expecting to see movement where there is nothing. She swings her blade at an empty patch of air nearby... the glassy look in her eyes says she's maybe not entirely coherent. She misses a step and falls backwards with a loud clatter, dropping her blade. Her eyes are open, and she's breathing heavily, but she looks like maybe she passed out.

The fungal forest covers about 500 feet and three branches of tunnel - the one on the west that Sekkar first saw (so long ago), the one he is in now with Zeno on the east, and the one Kaylyn and co entered.
Sekkar and Zeno both hear the voices (except for the fugitive's initial words), recognising Kaylyn's but not the other. They push through the thick growths until they come upon their companions surrounding the prone figure.
As far as Rhayna can see, there are no abnormal growths visible on Stool... yet.
Sekkar walked around the figure, then squatted down to look a bit closer. "Useless", (he said it as if addressing someone) "is this "the lost one"?"He tilted his head, studying "the lost one". "Looks bigger then you lot,"finally approved Sekkar, "might be useful."He took a waterskin from his belt, shook it to let the big figure hear the sound of flashing water and asked: "Want some?"
Relieved that Stool looks normal. First Rhayna asks Stool to share the spore with everyone, then Rhayna ask Rumpadump. “What can you tell us about this one?” She points at the newcomer.

Stool's spores activate once again, and Rumpadump replies to Rhayna: I didn't see it before, I learned of it from those grown ones. Rhayna deduces that he is referring to the adult myconids.
The kind of telepathy the spores provide has become familiar to everyone - a kind of tickling organic sensation. It is slightly different from the telepathy Kaylyn has with Pensive, which is more image-based. Now another voice enters the collective minds of the group - forming words of sorts, but not in any particular language. Useless the flumph transmits the message to not only Sekkar's mind but to all those present: Yes. That is it.
"I"ll leave this to you guys," Kastix whispers as he steps away from the strangeness.

She clanks and grinds in her patchwork of steel skin as she gets to her feet. Is there a route to the surface? Me and my platoon were pursuing Druegar into some caves when we were attacked and overwhelmed. I've was enslaved by them in some vast underground city near a lake...with a red dragon who I presume rules them. I managed to escape and get here....but....I am lost."
With her eyes slowly getting clearer she glances around the group, "Who are all of you? Why are you here?"

(Oops, it actually starts in the north of the cave, but then it goes east)
Sekkar follows the tunnel east for about 300 feet, but it then splits - one fork heading north and the other continuing east and then turning south.
