Pax looks at Sekkar and nods, and whispers "Very impressive magic, this. I suggest we wait 5 minutes then get moving."
If the party agrees, Pax waits for 5 minutes and then is the first to clamber noisily down the rope and out of the magical space. Hopping to the ground and glancing around as the others descend.

Zeno will slink back and warn the others of the danger, then wait a bit.
He then will sneak back up until he is close to where the gnoll was, to see if he has left. He watches him for a moment, then begins sneaking up to ambush him, working his way to a clear shot with the hand crossbow. He will look for any more of the gnolls. If after a few more moments the gnoll doesn’t show any sign of growing disinterested, and Zeno believes he is alone, he will take aim, and try to put a bolt through its eye.
"I can create a wall of fire if they come back," Kastix states as they prepare to get out of the hole.

With the aid of the magical drow cloak, Zeno manages to slip quietly and nearly invisibly between the hiding gnoll and the group in their invisible box several times. On his final foray back into the tunnel, Zeno watches as the gnoll barks to two others who were hiding on the opposite side of the tunnel but previously unnoticed by Zeno. They seem to have decided nothing is to be further gained by waiting here, and all three stow their bows and trot off southward. Zeno's companions wait patiently until he returns and informs them that the coast is apparently clear, and they exit Sekkar's hide and resume their journey across the bridge unmolested.
As they reach the very center of the hanging bridge, Pax turns to the rest of the party, "That was a close call with the gnolls. But, we obviously dodged that blade....now we're totally out of danger and in the clear!" Feeling optimistic, she continues marching across the bridge.

The girl obviously had a death wish with tempting fate like that but at least first part was true - at the moment gnolles were behind them. Just in case Sekkar did cover the groups retreat with Pass without Trace before they stepped on the bridge.
Hearts that were thumping during the passing of the gnoll horde had slowly returned to normal by the time the group had emerged from the magic hide. But stepping out onto the bridge was a new kind of terror. The drop into the darkness below was unfathomable, and the height above was equally without fathom (if you could fathom upwards that is), made more poignant by the wisps of faerzress that floated past at heights and depths as far as the eye can see. Each step brought the travellers closer and closer to the far wall, but each step is dogged with the sense of vulnerability at being suspended in the middle of a fathomless chasm, with no means of escape in any direction, completely at the mercy of any creatures that might control either end or that may be the master of the space in between. The bridge creaks and groans. Each footstep echoes against the walls on either side, giving the sense of being surrounded by invisible enemies. Trepidation grips each soul... except for Pax who strolls calmly across the bridge with not a care in the world.
Against all narrative tropes the group reach the other side safely and continue their journey. However the feeling of impending disaster doesn't leave, and after half and hour of travel through utter darkness, despite Sekkar's magical stealth boost, there is still the sense of being followed, or of being watched.

Sekkar was the first one to state the obvious: "We're being watched. Do not know how, can not say by whom, but we are. I suggest we throw away all we got from the guards and priests, that we did not take in the battle. Or at least leave it somewhere hidden and check if the feeling remains."
Pax looks around, "Well I suppose some invisible little imp could be trailing us on behalf of its master, and we'd no way to know. Unless anyone can see invisible things? Or, maybe someone is using some sort of spell that lets them watch us from afar, or a crystal ball or something like that. There's also a chance that we're being trailed by scent, and they're using animals. I have an idea though....that at least check for some of it."
When the group gets to the next section of tunnel that has no obvious ways around, she will ask to pause for ten minutes. She ritually casts Alarm on that section of tunnel with a silent alarm in her head. She excludes lizards and spiders and other common tunnel creatures, and the party. Then she turns to the group, and using Message with each person, explains the plan in silence, "We can continue to travel. Until we get a mile from here, if anything comes after us, I'll know, and we can plan then."
"Should we prepare a trap? Go into a cave, wait for them to come in if the thing goes off?" Kastix communicates as he tight his grip on the staff of fire he's using as a walk aid.

Pax is barely a minute into her spell when...
Maybe write it on the wall while you're at it! A voice comes from further down the corridor, speaking Undercommon with an accent like that of the derro. The words become louder and more distinct as the speaker approaches. Well, whadya fink, Skriss? Smart or stupid? They 'ave the sense to talk in their 'eads, but then go castin' their spells loud 'nuff to be 'eard from 'ere to Menzoberranzan.
Another voice joins the conversation, this one more bestial in its tone, but at the same time eloquent and somehow feminine. No worse than the cacophony of their travel. Several of their number traverse these paths as quietly as apparitions, but others are as boisterous as that recent throng of gnolls.
Two creatures soon appear from the darkness behind. One is indeed a derro, but dressed in a tattered wizard robe and grasping a staff. The other is a troglodyte wearing studded leather, armed with a shortsword and crossbow. Now, what could a bunch o' surfacers be doin' down 'ere in our domain, Skriss? the derro asks the troglodyte. Should I find out?
Skriss simply sighs and replies. If you insist, Y. But I implore you to be brief.
The derro, whose name evidently is Y, walks forward and extends a hand in greeting to the closest person, who happens to be... 1 Pax. 'Ello then. Let's 'ave yer name, but nuffink more!
Pax stands up to from her casting to face the two who've approached them from the dark. She listens to them, a faint sneer on her face. When Y approaches and extends a hand she instead places her hand on the pommel of her blade and just looks at him, her piercing blue eyes staring at him evenly and unflinching. She replies to him, "I'm Pax, learn the name well. Y was it? If you don't want surfacers walking through your domain, you'd best make your signs a bit more obvious."
She faces the derro down, threat clear on her face.
