Rhayna gets knocked off her feet (taking 10 bludgeoning) and gets pushed into Sekkar. The lizardman is far too accustomed to flowing water however, and not only keeps his footing but grabs Rhayna as she glides past, pulling her to her feet with one arm. Pax on the other hand gets swept off her feet (taking 10 bludgeoning), and as she submerges, the surrounding water turns cold and starts to form ice crystals.
Kaylyn is next in line, and has to roll with disadvantage to avoid Pax and the frigid icy water...

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Pax in her heavy armor crashes into Kaylyn and the two of them go rolling back into the room with the oozes, past the watching eyes of Kastix and Zeno. (Kaylyn takes 9 bludgeoning damage). The oozes in the room make no moves to harm anyone, and the water washes over them with no effect. The gelatinous blob seems oblivious to the chaos caused, and continues to move into the next corridor, silent to all except for the voice in Rhayna's head which babbles on continuously...
Voice in Rhayna's head:
Talking food did not come to help. Why then did you come? There are many here that would eat you. Those are easy to lead (and mentally Rhayna can tell the voice is referring to the gray oozes). They follow me now. Others are... difficult to lead. But I will try. Will you help me? Then I will show you the thing that will help you. And it will help me too. Help both of us. I can not use it but talking food is different to me. Talking food is different to fungus also. Eating is good but talking is better. There is none here to talk to. The others like me do not talk. No talking since the one that awakened me told me about the feast. Told me to lead others like me to the feast. Now talking food is here to talk to. I like talking.
Another short corridor follows, and again the water builds up in front of the cube, but it seems to have little trouble pushing forwards against the weight of it. And once again the wave is released when the cube passes into the next room, although this time the followers are wary and keep their distance.
More voice in Rhayna's head:
Talking food must stop moving. There are more here like me. I will lead them. They will follow. They will not eat you when I am leading them.
The cube stops in the center of the room for a moment, silent and motionless. After a few moments, several more dark shapes ooze out of the ceiling and walls, and congeal in the room beside the cube. Then gradually the cube moves on once more, slowly taking the next corridor with the oozes following behind, and the water building up in front...
Voice in Rhayna's head again:
Talking food can move again now. I am leading these and they will not eat you. I will take you to the others who are difficult to lead, and you will help me lead them. Then I will take you to the thing that will help us both, and you will use it.
The language seems to be developing rapidly, and the voice is using increasingly greater vocabulary, better grammar and more complex sentences.

Pax gets up, swearing, and helps pick up Kaylyn. "I'm so sorry, are you ok?" As she picks her up, the cold dark shadows around Pax's hand seep into her, soothing the wound. Cure Wounds for 10 hps. Dripping and looking more than a little embarassed, and a bit angry, Pax makes sure Kaylyn is ok, and then continues to move forward, the dark glimmering shadows still dancing around her form. She walks behind the others, trying to see what's going on up ahead, "Hey, why are we following this thing? MORE slimes? Is this a trap? Should I be ready for a fight?" She turns to Kaylyn near her and mutters, "Not that I'm not usually ready for a fight...it's just..." her words trail off. "Some answers back here would be nice!"

In a rushed voice Rhayna tells Sekkar. "Sekkar, please tell the others. It seems that the skeleton, or jelly, in front of us needs our help. It is able to control the oozes around us, but there are others ahead which it is not able to control. If we are able to help it, it in turn, will help us. It is saying that there is something ahead, an object maybe, that might help us both. How it will help us, I am not sure, but it seems we do not have much of a choice now."
She then addresses the Voice. "We stumbled into your domain by accident. We are actually trying to go home. Yes, we will try to help you as best as we can. As I stated earlier, if you are very hungry, I can tell you where you can find a lot of food, and you may have to hurry, for it might not be there for long..."
Rhayna reaches to her backpack and brings out her Journal. She tries to write as much as possible, drawing the skeleton/jelly in great detail, before going to the next room. "By the way, do you have a name which I can address you? My name is Rhayna."

"You should always be ready to fight here," remarked Sekkar, who indeed caught Rhayna and felt even refreshed a bit by the waterstream. "She said", he pointed at the priest concentrated on the mind-talk with the oozes, and made sure to tell it out loud in hope oozes do not understand normal speech. In the best traditions of "Kara-Tur Whispers" he continued translation of the silent conversation, "the slime wants our help. The big slime ahead controls the small ones, but there are others too that it does not control and we are going to them. We somehow help "it", and then "it" gives us something that helps us all. So we are heading to the slime pit right now."(that was his personal addition, though he did not specify) "If we fight - we fight now. Or risk it and go where more oozes are."
Pensive flew overhead, launching into the air in time to avoid the tumble of Pax and Kaylyn as they fell into the water. Getting to her feet, with the aid of Pax, she continues to follow more warily. "Right, always ready to fight. Not sure where we are goin or why but we really didn't have much choice as we couldn't go back. Just watch for trouble."
Hurry? What is hurry? Oh, I see. Rush. Make haste. Lose no time. You know so many things, talking food. But there is no need to hurry. There will be a lot of food at the feast, and that is where I will go. The one who awakened me said I must escort/marshal/usher these others like me to the great feast.
The gelatinous cube (which Rhayna now deduces is the source of the voice, and not the remains of its last meal that persist inside it) is becoming a little repetitive, perhaps because it is enjoying having someone to talk to, but also growing in vocabulary. The communication is a different 'flavor' of telepathy to that of the myconids; less organic and more... demonic perhaps? Yet there is no sense of rage or chaos or malice like that typical of communication from a demon.
Name? Oh, I see. Epithet. Appellative. Moniker. To distinguish you from the other talking food. I have no such exclusive identifier, Rhayna. But perhaps you can refer to me as... Glabbagool.
The next corridor is particularly long, and accompanied by the gray oozes, Glabbagool pushes against the water and makes slow but steady progress, while the group keep a safe distance to avoid being trapped again in any resulting wave. By the time it reaches the distant end, the water has built to a height of almost five feet, and the cube is having noticeable difficult making headway. But it finally slides out of the corridor into a room beyond, releasing the giant gush of water (which is avoided easily enough) and making the corridor safe to pass, albeit with now about two feet of water to wade through.
The room beyond is mostly divided into four long passageways and is floored with heavy flagstones. The walls here are carved with worn and faded bas-reliefs that show strange, swirling shapes that might be waves. Or perhaps tentacles. Part of the wall opposite the hallways has crumbled, and it is through this gash that the water gushes. There is enough water coming through that it must be originating from some nearby subterranean river, which the recent earthquake caused to breach the temple. Kaylyn recalls that a river was one of the next landmarks she was preparing to locate. The gap in the wall is large enough to fit through, but with the volume of water pouring through it would be difficult to traverse.
Pensive flies ahead through the hallways, unaffected by the depth of the water, and sees another room beyond an open doorway, images of which come mentally to Kaylyn. A stone fountain with a raised edge dominates the center of the room, with small metallic objects glinting in the brackish water inside. At the center of the fountain, the rubble of a broken statue rests atop a pedestal, with only a pair of clawed feet remaining, clutching the pedestal's top. In front of the fountain is a pulpit on which lays a curious-looking wand. The water level is not yet high enough to reach the pulpit or the water in the fountain. Around the room are seven niches, four of which contain strange, formless sculptures.
Glabbagool speaks to Rhayna:
There is one in each hall. They are hiding/lurking/skulking beneath the floor stones. They are uncooperative/intractable/recalcitrant but can be subdued/coerced/subjugated with violence. You will use physical force against them as you did against the others. I will concomitantly attempt to master them with my leadership. Then you may proceed to the chamber beyond where awaits the item/artefact/relic that will enable you to escape and simultaneously advance my own objectives.

The lizardmen activated the blade and slid after Pax - as he recalled oozes did not care about light, but he did and searched to the hints of the future prey:

Who knows, but where were the others? He looked aoround, seeing the oozes hanging to the sides of the room, he jumped to his feet, blade out, and backed out of the room.
