Sakin Acrobatics: 8
As Kastix vanishes from sight, and as Rhayna's holy blessing descends upon the others, Sekkar grabs a hold of Sakin and growls out his demand. Sakin growls back (but with only a fraction of the menace compared to the lizardman) saying: Fool! I don't have your gem. You said yourself it was given to Kinyel! Kaylyn digs into Sakin's mind and realises that, among the humiliation and anger at being 'man-handled' by a lizard, she indeed knows nothing of the gem until it was mentioned moments ago, and is in confusion about why Kinyel suddenly attacked the Zhentarim's beholder. Pax around the inside perimeter of the tent, watching the battle unfold but keeping an eye on the combatants themselves more than the fighting. So far the gem is not in view.
The beholder has pink juice squirting out of its eye like a fountain, and a gargoyle scratching and biting it from behind, so in an attempt to get out of harm's way it floats slowly upwards. However it seems to forget that the pavilion is not that high, and bumps awkwardly against the inside of the roof as the canvas of the entire pavilion lifts and buckles against the pressure. Dropping her ichor-stained stiletto, Kinyel the assassin lifts and loads a small crossbow, pointing it upward at the beholder and firing. (Attack: 25 Damage: 9. Advantage roll for being unseen: 9). Despite its horrendous injuries, the beholder is unharmed by the bolt which glances off its hide. Incensed that the aberration should attack its sweetheart, the gargoyle spreads its wings and launches itself up at the beholder, scratching and biting as before. (Bite: Attack: 8 Damage: 6, Claws: Attack: 9 Damage: 6) The claws scrabble ineffectually against the rough hide but the gargoyle's toothy maw latches onto one of the remaining eyestalks and rips it off, spitting it to the ground. Pebbles the gnome moves like a ghost on wheels, and slips under the airborne fray to pick up the fallen ocular appendage.
Meanwhile, the Zhentarim guards seem a little uncertain whose side the newcomers are on as they see Sekkar grabbing a hold of Sakin. But since the act is helping more than hindering their current goals, they continue to press their attacks.
The defending drow are being soundly beaten, and begin to retreat in earnest, fleeing out the door. Sakin hisses angrily at Sekkar one more time before suddenly vanishing, then re-appearing some distance outside the pavilion before running off into the darkness. Only the Zhentarim guards remain in the area around the central table, while the pavilion continues to rock and sway from the buffeting coming from the roof where the gargoyle continues to battle the beholder. Kinyel stands below loading her crossbow again, while Pebbles continues to watch from nearby.
Rhayna activities her spores on her staff (Shillelagh), and moves to the left side of Kaylyn.
(Ugh!!! Forgot that Calm Emotions is a concentration spell.)

As much as hunting and killing those drows would be fun, they came here for the gem. Sekkar did not follow that group of beaten up warriors but instead concentrated on Kinyel. Zhents and beholders could kill each other for all he cared (did not look like they were about to fight the actual assassin anyway) and he himself moved to Kinyel. There was no talking to the crazy, so he simply attacked.

Was gonna wait for Kastix, but since he is invisible I'm hoping his eventual actions won't affect events too much. If it does then I might have to re-do some stuff.
With the drow fleeing, the Zhentarim guards seem satisfied that the danger they pose is gone. They evidently don't consider the newcomers their enemies either, both due to their familiar surface-dweller look as well as the fact they appeared to be helping them against the drow. And so it is with relative ease that Sekkar is able to maneuver around the guards and bring Dawnbringer's glowing blade crashing into the side of Kinyel's head. She recoils in pain as well as from the hated sunlight that now fills the tent, but recovers quickly and continues to load her crossbow while hissing at Sekkar: My quarrel is not with you, reptile.
During this exchange, Kaylyn taps into the assassin's mind, and finds a similar chaos as with Yantha. Among the dark and feverish threads of "does this lizard wish to steal my kill?" and "the gargoyle messenger is helping me fulfil my contract" and "I hope I poisoned all these bolts" are parallel thoughts, suppressed by still detectable, less dark but smothered, such as "why am I doing this?" and "the Zhentarim are our allies" and "Sakin is going to hang me up by the ears for this!" The thoughts are interrupted though as Pax races in from the side and makes another attempt to grapple Kinyel...
Kinyel Acrobatics: 19
... and succeeds! Pax then drags Kinyel out of the tent, seeing the guards intent to target her next.
Certain now that these mystery folk are there to help them, the Zhentarim guards run in and start thumping Kinyel with their maces.
Kastix will try to keep an eye out from his dark corner for sign of the gem for now.

Watching invisibly from the sidelines, Kastix keenly observes Kinyel's movements. He can't read her thoughts like Kaylyn can, and doesn't see any gem, but he does notice her reflexively move her hand down to a small bulge in the leather girding her hips as Pax runs in. (On her turn) Kinyel attempts again to twist herself away from Pax's grip (Acrobatics: 15), but Pax's grip is too tight.
Slipping loose does her little good however, as she finds herself completely surrounded and unable to flee.
Meanwhile, the airborne battle continues. Unable to move or see, the beholder again uses its only remaining weapon, biting back at the gargoyle while the stone creature continues its own biting and clawing attacks.

Pax, once she grabs Kinyel, would drag Kinyel away (she has movement of 70 right now, so, minus what it took to get to Kinyel, then half movement for dragging) She tries to get the drow away from the mob of thugs trying to beat her to death.
Athletics check to keep a hold of Kinyel : 25 (woooooo.)
Ok, I'll change it. No attacks from the guards this round. Pax could read the intent of the guards, and drags Kinyel out of the tent through the North door, holding on to the grapple check on Kinyels turn. The guards move on their turn toward the tent door, probably thinking Pax is dragging her outside so there is more room for the beating, but not getting close enough to do so.

It's not like Sekkar wanted to kill all drow personally (more like would not mind if they disappear), so, apprehended Kinyel was enough for him. Especially, if he could locate the gem. Quite a big rock, where would she keep it? Any pouches? Bags? "Anyone sees the stone?"May be females of the group could find the thing faster. (Help from others?)

Should he locate the item, he would grab it (making sure not to touch with bare hand) and look around in search of a heavy enough rock to smash that gem.

But since half the party are attempting to interact with Kinyel, I'll change it and say that Pax dragged Kinyel in the other direction, right past the guards and out the south door. Pax's logic could be that the guards would then have trouble getting past the party to reach Kinyel. Makes perfect sense!)
Almost everyone follows Pax out the door as she drags Kinyel roughly outside. Sekkar is first, and he roughly frisks the indignant drow, patting down each bump and lump but also being cautious not to make contact with anything underneath. (That was so weird writing that). But unseen by the others, Kastix was out the door equally fast, and with a keen idea of where the gem is hidden. Meanwhile, Kaylyn attempts to apply her celestial powers on the drow's mind, but the chaos makes the elven psyche too slippery to lock down.
