Kirin is a reclusive researcher among several at his place of work with no fame to prestige to his name yet so it's highly doubtful Rhayna has heard of him.
"My theory is something for lack of better term Abyssal is percolating into the world through the Underdark. Whether it's due to something intentional like something create a portal to it or maybe the planar barriers are weaken here and the near plane is the Abyss is my theory. My thesis is based on samples of plant life and other source of magic that I believe is properties only found from the Abyssal Plane seeping in from underneath," Kirin explains in basically only breath before turning to kneeling down and exmaining some rocks carefully before popping back up to the group and without a beat, "However my colleagues do not believe my thesis, believing I'm looking for facts that points to my theory rather my theory pointing to facts so it brought me to find better facts to prove my theory,"

Pax nods, "Excellent! We can provide the proof you're looking for. You can return with our friend Kastix and Ghazrim to the surface with the proof we've found and help Kastix here inform the world of the discovery! Then you can inform the higher ups and do all the face shoving you desire."

"Thank you Ghazrim, and I thank you for your hospitality." Kaylyn says as she gives a small bow.
"Well Kastix, it seems our time together is coming to an end. So much has happened since we met in Oakhurst and I will say I am a better person for having known you." A tear forms in her eye at the parting. "I hope you find what you seek but we now take different paths. May you find peace on your journeys."
She suddenly moves forward and before Kastix could stop her she gives the tiefling a quick hug.
She steps away from Kastix and gives him a smile. Kirin stepping into the room provides a needed distraction for the half-elf.
Seeing the elf Kaylyn is suddenly very self conscious. An elf, a high elf. She feels something she hasn't felt in some time, is it shame for being only half elven? Subconsciously she begins to draw her cloak over her head and then stops herself. She lets the hood fall and she brushes the gold flecks on her face, those markings given to her by the Ki-rin, Renrin. She stiffens her back as she is emboldened by her patron and the power, purpose and identity given to her.
Pensive, who had been sitting on the edge of the table eating grapes had suddenly leapt to her shoulder and curled defensively around her neck at the discomfort he sensed in Kaylyn. But as she strengthens her resolve the pseudodragon relaxes, though eyes the newcomer warily.
"Greetings Kirin. I am Kaylyn, Kaylyn Lightsorrow. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance. As my companions have said, your theory is correct. We are preparing to move on from this place to investigate further. Your assistance, expertise and company would be welcome. Please join us. We must meet up with the others of our group and then find a certain gnome who has information on how to find a place called Gravenhollow. Have you perchance heard of it? A library from what we have gathered that may contain the knowledge we seek to delve deeper into this issue with what is happening in the underdark."
When Rhayna sees a lean elven man enter the pavilion, she doesn't let Kastix answer her question, and just drop the book on his hands. She quickly goes to meet the scholar. She fixes her spectacles, more as a habit than anything, then extends her hands. "Nice to meet you, Rhayna Nursk." The Human Cleric has mushrooms all over her, now a little more than ever, for she hasn't moved very much in past few hours. One can also see what looks like dark worms coursing through her extended hands, arms, and some on her face as well. "Ohh, I dont' believe I have heard of you, Mr. Orisis. Have you ever written a book? Or perhaps have you visited Candlekeep? You see, I used to work there... Wait, I hope that I still have my job when we get back." Without letting Kirin give a word. "At any rate, it is so great that you are joining our group! Don't you worry, I can update you on our findings in no time..."

(Out of necessity, conversations and events are a little disjointed at the moment. I'll continue to push things along, but feel free to RP around any events in any order, i.e. "Just roll with it." Especially I'm not trying to rush Kastix out the door, so take your time saying goodbye if you want.)
(Before Kirin arrives) As Rhayna is fumbling around with manuscripts to give to Kastix, she overhears Ghazrim informing Lorthuun matter-of-factly that his services will no longer be required, as the Zhentarim will be abandoning the trading post for the foreseeable future, before walking away. Lortuun notices Rhayna observing. If beholders had shoulders to shrug, Lorthuun would have done so, as he then says, wiggling his remaining eyestalks: That alliance had become too costly anyway. I can now track down that impertinent gnome. I don't suppose you have any trackers in your group, do you? Rhayna doesn't get a chance to reply straight away though, as she rushes over to meet Kirin.
(After introductions with Kirin are completed) Ghazrim excuses himself to get some rest and make preparations to leave, telling Kastix to come as soon as he is ready. The rest of the group depart the pavilion, but haven't gone far before being approached by Sirak Mazelor, the drow negotiator, and two warriors. The three female drow bow (very briefly and with apparent reluctance) to the group before Sirak speaks, but you can tell she finds it difficult to speak her mind, and doesn't look anyone directly in the eye (especially ignoring Kirin): I have been informed of what occurred here, and the nature of the gem you sought. I feel I must... thank you... for excising this infection from our midst. As a token of gratitude, I offer you a gift. At a nod from Sirak, one of the warriors walks forward and hands the closest party member two potions. One has the look of liquid iron, while the other seems to be filled with fog. Sirak then continues: One more gift I offer - information. I am aware that one of our allies, House Mizzrym has been pursuing a group of escaped slaves that match your description. There has been no response from the priestess Ilvara, and I assume she is... has been unsuccessful. This will bring shame upon Mizzrym, and they will wish to distance themselves from Ilvara's failure. As a result... House Mizzrym, nor its allies House Baenre or House Xorlarrin, will pursue you further. That is all. And with that, Sirak and her guards turn to leave.
(At the duergar compound) Pax and the others arrive just as Sekkar and Derendil are leaving, followed by Mipry and Yantha. The sight of the tall quaggoth lumbering behind Sekkar brings back memories to some, but there is certainly a difference in Derendil's demeanour, with no more of the regal bearing he showed as an elven prince. As the two groups meet, Derendil points to Kirin, looks at Sekkar and growls: Elf friend. Not food.
As the group reunite and begin to make their way back toward the gnome enclave, Pax asks Yantha about Gravenhollow. Ah yes, she replies, the library of Past, Present and Future. I travelled there long ago to learn the deeper knowledge of elemental control. If you seek answers about our world, that is the place to go. I would guide you there but... I cannot. You see... you can only go there once. I say I went there long ago, but really... I've always been there and always will. And once you've been there, you'll realise you always have and will too. Yantha senses the confusion her explanation is causing, and stops to think for a moment before continuing. The library of Gravenhollow is a record of everything that ever has, is, or will be in the world (and you assume from her speech that for her 'the world' refers to the Underdark). The stone giant librarians hear and record the echoes of past, present, and future in the stones. But it's more than that. The library itself is... aware, omnipresent in time. It blocks your way until it is your time to go, and facilitates your way there when it is time. And you don't search the library - it searches you. The answers you find might not be the ones you wanted, or might be things you wish you never knew. I'm sorry if that is not very helpful. But if it is your time, you will find it far to the west, beyond the Wormwrithings. Perhaps I can offer you something that will help.
Then when Rhayna produces the stonespeaker crystal, Yantha gasps and says: Oh my! That is a valuable treasure indeed. If only I had one of those when I was there. With one of these crystals, you can bend your will to your search of the library more effectively, rather than relying on the whims of the library itself. Certainly you will find the answers you seek! May I touch it?
(After arriving at the gnome compound) The surviving gnomes come streaming out of the broken gates at the sight of Mipry, Flink and Yantha returning, and there is an outpouring of joy and happy embracing. Gabble Dripskillet, the head negotiator, vigourously shakes the hand of each member of the group with excessive expressions of gratitude. At one point she runs off and then returns with a small coffer, offering it to the group as the promised reward for their assistance. Inside, laying on a bed of rich purple silk, is a beautiful black sapphire pendant on a silver chain. At first glance the sapphire brings back memories of the demonic gem, but a quick reflexive detection spell from Kaylyn shows that it has no magical aura whatsoever, although undoubtedly costly. Yantha also goes away and then returns with a gift of her own - a black dented helm. It's not what it used to be, she explains. Doesn't hold much of a charge anymore. But when it works... it should help to teleport you where you need to go. I hope you find what you're looking for.
It doesn't take long to identify the object as a Helm of Teleportation, but in its damaged condition it only holds one charge at a time, and only has a 50% chance each day of regaining a single charge.

Pax nods to Yantha, "Thank you very much for the explanation. I believe I understand."
When the helm is gifted by the gnomes, Pax nods, "This is a precious gift, regardless of its state. Thank you very much." She glances back at the group, "Who would like to wear it. I'm not able to." Turning back to the Yantha, Pax says, "You believe this will help us find Wormwrithings? Can it take us to such a place without us having been there?"
"I believe Sekkar would benefit most from the iron potion, and likely Rhayna or Kaylyn should have the smokey one."
"I really just need money so I can purchase more of the inks and such I need to copy spells from these books. 500 gold should do it. If anyone can spare some."
Finally she pulls Kastix aside. "Kastix, I appreciate you leaving for the surface and following your own needs. I get it. Listen, that necklace you have only has a couple beads left on it, but it's gotten us out of some tight spots. How would you feel about leaving it behind with Sekkar or one of the others. For us, it could mean the difference between life and death in the near future."
That done, she takes a load off and has a seat somewhere. Placing her helm down upside down, and the gauntlets inside, she closes her eyes and seems to take a few moments to rest, breathing deeply and attuning herself to her patron. (no game effect, just....taking a deep breath after all the action.)

When Yantha asks to touch the Stonespeaker Crystal, Rhayna gladly gives it to her. "This artifact was given to me by Stonespeaker Hgraam in Gracklstugh." She closes her eyes for a moment, and continues. "He said this to me. 'I trust you will retain my gift. The day will come when again you seek the libraries of my kin, and then it shall serve you well. This is what the stones tell me.'" She finishes retelling what the Stonespeaker told her with sadness, for she knows that he is probably no more. "So, I understand better what he said now, and I believe that our next step is clearer as well." Rhayna takes the crystal back, and put it back into her rucksack. "Master Yantha. Would you teach me more about this crystal and how it may aid us in finding Gravenhollow? It seems that you know more about this artifact than I do." Remembering her time at the Duegar's City, she asks Yantha. "Also, by the way ma'am. Have you ever heard of a gnome called Pelek by any chance?" Then Rhayna searches her mind, for she is trying to remember something else she was going to ask the gnomes. She snaps her fingers when the thought comes to her. "Lastly, and I am terribly sorry about this request... Would any of you have a diamond that's worth 300gp? I could use one of those going forward, and I am willing to pay for it, though I do not have enough gold pieces at the moment."

Sekkar watched the group closely when they were approaching. Gnomes (expected) and some new elf. Elf?! He turned to the quaggoth preparing to jump and restrain Derendil before he pounced on the potential prey. But Derendil behaved much better than Sekkar expected.
The intelligence and concern that so long ago soften the devilish-animalistic features of his face did not return (yet, as the lizardman hoped). But the expression was not one of the beasts either. The madness passed - both of them, unnatural caused by the gem, and the justifiable fury of a trapped animal afterward.
"Define "normal"," answered Sekkar to Pax, while watching every move of their old-new companion. Derendil kept his focused gaze on Kirin, gulping sometimes. "Elf ... friend. Not food." He sounded like a foreigner, trying to express deep thoughts with a phrasebook. The quaggoth finally turned his eyes away from the newcomer and Sekkar relaxed his posture. "I think he is pretty normal, yes. Who is the elf?" He nodded a touch disapprovingly to the answer (untested surfacer dragged into the tunnels was not his idea of a competent party) but then risked leaving Derendil and walked to Kaylyn.
"Look here," the lizardman unbuckled the gifted belt and showed it to her. "Duergar's gave it to us. Said, will be recognized by dwarves, help to make deals with them. Want to wear it?"
"That is certainly an interesting location. I hope my time to visit is now. I do hope so. Well, should we depart now? Oh you have more to do I see. I'll be patient, I've good with patience right? Whats that?" Kirin inspects the weeds before returning to the party.

Replying to Pax, Yantha says: Travelling by magic is a difficult and imperfect art, even to places you know well. And in recent times it has become even more unreliable, due to the corruption in the faerzress by the demon incursion. But even if it took you several attempts to get it right, you would still save a lot of time and effort. Travelling to Gravehollow on foot would take a very long time, and requires going through or around the Wormwrithings. Then seeing Pax's blank stare, she adds: The Wormwrithings? It's a maze of tunnels, spanning hundreds of miles, carved from the passage of purple worms. Have you ever seen a purple worm? Luckily they mostly keep to the Wormwrithings... so it is not a place I'd like to venture.
Rhayna passes the crystal to Yantha, and she inspects it carefully, with all the attention of an expert in gems and other rare stones. Fascinating, she whispers. Raw elements but... bonded by magic. Divination is strong. Hints of necromancy and transmutation. I could spend a lifetime just studying this crystal. Handing the crystal back, the gnome continues: How it works I do not know. I can only say that while in Gravenhollow I observed someone using one, and they seemed to navigate the library and its information quite effortlessly... Yantha trails off, and Rhayna takes the opportunity to ask her next question. As she does so, Yantha looks at Rhayna's face a little closer, cocking her head as if studying her. But the moment passes and the gnome shakes her head and answers Rhayna again: I know a Pelek Spoonsniffer. He is a diplomat, an emissary to the duergar. He travels to Grackstugh a lot, so I don't see him often. Why do you ask?
Finally Rhayna asks about diamonds, and Yantha's eyes brighten as she replies: Of course! Diamonds, rubies, emeralds. Whatever you need. I even have a small supply of scribing materials for your friends if they wish. The excited gnome mage rushes off, then returns with a small zurkhwood box and a flat leather wallet. Inside the box is not one but five diamonds of the size Rhayna described, and the wallet contains scribing components worth an estimated 500gp. It's nothing in comparison to freeing me from that demon, begs Yantha. Please accept it.

Pax gives a half-bow to Yantha when she delivers her the writing materials. "This is...a valuable gift, at this moment....thank you so much. So...are you saying we should attempt to use the helm to go directly to Gravenhollow so we can avoid the Wormwrithings?" She glances at Rhayna and Kaylyn, "If neither one of you want to use the helm, then I'll need to temporarily bond to it instead of my boots, so that i can use it." She messages each of them and Sekkar, "We could potentially give it to this elf, but I don't trust him enough to give him a helm that can teleport him anywhere. We just met him."
Thinking out loud she mutters, "So, Kastix is headed back to the surface, I'll message him each day to make sure the information gets back to the surface. In the meantime, we're going to teleport around the underdark, trying to get to this library...so we can learn more about the demon summoning."
She thinks on this, "And...Derendil here used to be an elven prince, but....has succumbed to his new form...and the only pearl that could have returned him to what he was, we used on Yantha who was possessed by the gem. And..finally....the drow aren't chasing us anymore...and we'e made allies of the drow, the Duergar, and a beholder, who people confirmed for me was 'definitely evil'...but we're treating like a normal person, and is looking for that gnome who cut off its eye stalks."
Kicking her feet up on a chair and leaning back she just shakes her head, "Sorry, a lot has been happening and I"m just trying to make sure I haven't forgotten anything."

The massive buckle clicked and the heavy belt wrapped around Kaylyn's slim waist. It could be not the latest fashion, but certainly an impressive accessory. Sekkar nodded approvingly and in his tern accepted the strange vial from Pax's hands. "Might get useful." (Anything might get useful in the tunnels. He packed the vial in his bag).
Derendil, meanwhile, was studying the group with an almost painful expression on his face. "Kaylyn." He remembered names, apparently. "Good." Whether it was about meeting her or the answer to her question, that was not clear, though. Sniffing the air around the group the quaggoth made a step toward Rhayna and for the first time showed his teeth and growled, watching the worms sneaking around mushrooms, that grew on her skin. But the intervention was not needed still, probably enough smell of former Rhayna was there still to convince Derendil this is the same person. "Rhayna," confidently declared the quaggoth looking at the mushroom-covered head good couple feet below him, "friend." He shifted his weight from one leg to another, get down to all fours, stood up again, and finally fall back closer to Sekkar, and went silent.
The path to the gnome's compound was uneventful (quaggoth/lizardman-wise) but both seemed to study the new addition to the group (probably for different reasons), though Sekkar had to maintain an inner dialog with Dawnbringer, explaining the reasons for Derendil's presence. That... took some time.
Obviously, Sekkar fully agreed to the idea of keeping the helmet among tested scholars and nodded to every word the gnome was saying about purple worms. No sane person ever will come close to the place where even one was spotted, that's the death warrant, a sure suicide. If there was a way to avoid the meeting - it had to be used.
Other than that, Sekkar was just curious to learn what the group's new destination was. Kastix (Sekkar did not have a chance to say goodbye but these things happen) seemed to be the only one going through with the initial plan to simply return to the sun and flowers. Well, it's not like Sekkar planned to stay on the surface anyway and it's better to move around Underdark in the familiar company. "Do not think Derendil is really an elf," noted lizardman to Pax (Derendil stopped staring at Kirin and turned to then with the same painful expression) "but he might be better as himself in the tunnels. Better for us too. So, when are we going?"
Kaylyn grins at Derendil's response to her. She takes it at face value and as a good sign of friendliness on his part, or at least acceptance. She did not wish to become food. "Thank you and welcome to our merry band." Pensive eyes him warily but remembers him and that he has never been hostile to them before. He sends an friendly emotion of happiness to the quaggoth and gives him a toothy grin.
As Pax hands her the helmet she listens to the information given on its abilities. "I am willing to use it and will do my best to guide us to Gravenhollow." She then steps to Yantha's side and begins to question her on everything she may know or remember so she can get as best a description of the place as possible.
When that is done she tells the others "It will take some time to study this helmet and attune myself to it and the belt. I will need a quiet place. Perhaps then we can rest overnight and begin our journey tomorrow? A shared meal with friends will give us an opportunity to get to know our new companion better."
Pax perks up at the mention of a meal, remembering the delicious food that was to be found. "Yes, indeed, that is a very good idea. We should sit, eat, and get to know each other, after a bit of a well earned rest I think."
With that she lets out a tremendous yawn suddenly. "Where can someone find a safe place to sleep around here?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hearing about the crystal's origin, it makes Rhayna realize that Stonespeaker Hgraam and her were actually kindred spirits. They are both librarians. When she asks about the dead gnome they encountered, she senses a pause, and a movement of the head from Yantha that's familiar to her. (Rhayna makes an Insight check (17) on Yantha's pause to see if she can understand more what she was studding.) "Well, we met the ghost of a gnome in the Whorlstone Tunnels under Gracklstugh. He asked us to retrieve his severed hand, it is a long story, but I was unable to help him. He said his name was Pelek, and I figured that perhaps I would let someone know of his misfortune. Ohh never mind..." Then when the Cleric receives the zurkhwood box with the diamonds. She respectfully receives it with both hand. "By the Goddess. Please believe me when I say that me and my companions are very grateful of your gesture. You are making sure that if anyone of us falls in battle, that we will have a second chance... Well, provided that the one that falls is not me, of course." She closes both of her hands, and bow low.
Rhayna turns to Pax, and responds to her thinking regarding Gravenhollow. "I will try to commune with the Goddess when we have a moment to rest, perhaps she can light the way to the library."
When Derendil gets closer to Rhayna, she tries not to show that she is a little apprehensive of the quaggoth, but when he says "friend", she gives her hand so he can smell her properly, even though it wasn't necessary. "Derendil, friend. It is nice to see you too."

Yantha's strange glance at Rhayna is difficult to interpret, but the impression that Rhayna gets is like... you know when you experience deja vu and you have that moment of recognition? It's like Yantha was experiencing that kind of sensation at that particular moment.
Regarding the idea of teleporting, Yantha replies to Pax: I admit it isn't the most ideal solution... But the gift is yours regardless. It is up to you how you choose to use it.
Teleporting
A word here about teleporting (see the spell description for full details). Most of the major locations you have been to so far (Velkynvelve, Sloobludop, Gracklstugh, Neverlight Grove, Bligdenstone, Mantol-Derith) will be treated as "Very Familiar", unless you can demonstrate that you have an item from that location (shouldn't be difficult) in which case they will be treated as per "Associated Object". Minor locations (such as those for random encounters) will be treated as "Seen Casually". Any other location that the group has passed through (like the area travelled between locations) will be treated as "Viewed Once". If I have mentioned faerzress in an area, it will be subject to the rules of teleporting into and out of faerzress, which I will describe below. I'll also give a few hints about the locations that Yantha is about to describe.
Normally the DM makes the rolls privately so the players aren't aware of the degree of success. However I like the idea that the outcome (whether success or tragic, painful failure) is entirely the players' responsibility, so I'd like to suggest that Paladin54 (or whoever is casting the spell) makes the rolls in a private message. Everyone else will remain unaware of the outcome (at least at first) but the transparency can still be attested by the player responsible. I'm confident everyone is a sufficiently competent role-player that they could 'pretend' to be unaware of the result even if it was fully public, but I think this is still a more fun idea.
Faerzress and Teleporting(slightly modified from the book) Whenever an attempt it made to teleport into, within, or out of a faerzress-suffused area, all teleporting creatures must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw. On a failed save, the creature takes 1d10 force damage. In addition, if the caster fails the save, the teleportation attempt fails entirely. Even if the save succeeds, the teleportation attempt is always treated as though known only by description, regardless of how familiar the destination actually is.
Yantha begins explaining to Kaylyn the most notable locations she can think of nearest to the entrance of Gravenhollow. Then Kaylyn has a great idea and asks Yantha permission to magically read her thoughts, to which Yantha assents. Casting her spell, Kaylyn receives a full-sensory picture of four locations:
The library interior itself. Yantha remembers Gravenhollow as a multi-level column structure, surrounding a central well criss-crossed with bridges, with walkways around the well at each level, and the levels joined by stairs. There is something strange and elusive about this memory that makes it very hard to picture the library clearly. In Yantha's opinion attempting to teleport directly to the library is a very risky option, and may not even be possible. The spell might deposit them in a nearby location, but due to the extemporaneous nature of the library, it might even send them to another point in time. [Gravenhollow does indeed exist, but due to its supernatural aspect, this option will be treated as a "False Destination" unless the roll is exactly 100.]
The gates of Gravenhollow. Yantha pictures a pair of massive basalt doors flanked by two huge statues of stone giants. The surrounding area is heavily suffused with fearzress, which seems to actually be drawn toward the library. Yantha reminds Kaylyn that the corruption of the faerzress makes teleportation into and out of affected areas very unreliable. [Will treat as "Viewed Once" but roll twice and take the lowest due to the wards on the library. Also, will be subject to rules related to faerzress and teleporting.]
A flumph cloister above a small caldera of lava, about two days' journey from where she found the library entrance. This is the next-closest location, but has only a few notable features, making it difficult to picture. [Will subtract 15 from the roll.]
A kuo-toa village beside a small lake, about four days' journey from where she found the library entrance. This is further away, but Yantha remembers more details, including a small dock, a shrine, and the typically chaotic design of their habitations. [Will roll as normal.]
The group take a much-needed rest... (Your choice of staying in the gnome compound or anywhere else within the 'town' or in the tunnels nearby. All are safe and will provide an uninterrupted long rest. The gnomes inform the group that some of the surrounding tunnels lead out to a large cavern that overlooks and descends to the Darklake far, far below. It is quite pleasant and peaceful, actually.)
Kaylyn spends the required time to attune to both the belt and the helm, and with them both on her person she looks decidedly less delicate than before.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
The next morning grants the group a rare sight. Pax wearing soft clothes instead of sheathed in steel. Plain short slacks and a loose tunic leave her looking somehow younger and more vulnerable than you're used to seeing her. Her red hair is tied back into a ponytail with wisps floating free around her face. She has a certain relaxed way about her that makes you realize she's barely out of her teens. With the armor, and the grim visage, and the dark shadows roiling about her, she's regularly had all the looks of some powerful magical knight. Now though, she just seems...so fragile. She's obviously not a wilting flower. She's got shoulders and strong muscles from her role...but her face is that of a youngster and when she laughs or smiles you find it hard to believe she's the same person that's sheathed within the steel and shadow.
At breakfast she finds her way into Ghazrim's tent to partake in more of the surface food. The first time you've seen her apply this girlish charm to get something. Clearly raised by nobles she seems to have a relaxed and easy way around people. She finds an excuse to go looking for Zilchyn to check in on him. She seems drawn to the Drow for some reason and chats with him for a while about the magic, arcane matters and the underdark, mostly enjoying his direct manner which is reflection of her own. Finally she ensures she does her 'duty' and bids farewell to Mipry, Yantha, and Flink. She reminds them that the group is down here to help, and their paths are likely to cross again. "I will try to check in on you with a magical missive when I can."
But a half-day extra here in this place is all she seems willing to give herself. Having used every bit of girlish and noble charm to secure cheese, fruit, and breads from Ghazrim as she could and pack them away in her bag, she finds herself meeting up with the rest of the group and wondering out loud when people were ready to go. Her eyes slid across their new companion, the elf wizard, keeping her tongue and opinions to herself. Finally, with a small sigh, her smile and glimmer of joy were put aside, and she began strapping on her armor. With each leather strap pulled into place, the shadows seemed to be drawn from around her. With each plate of metal she attached, the darkness around her grew. Until finally, fully sheathed in steel, the blackness around her was darker than ever...a swirling inky cloud. She clanked over to the group, pulling her heavy backpack onto one shoulder.
All serious and business again, the girlish youth gone, her serious voice emerged from within her helm, "Alright then, so....I presume we start with the Kua-toa village? I would hate to see us torn to pieces by a damaged helmets spell or worse...scattered across time. You can try to convince me otherwise, but a four day walk doesn't seem too bad about now."

(Before Kirin arrives)
As Rhayna is fumbling around with manuscripts to give to Kastix, she overhears Ghazrim informing Lorthuun matter-of-factly that his services will no longer be required, as the Zhentarim will be abandoning the trading post for the foreseeable future, before walking away.
(After introductions with Kirin are completed)
Ghazrim excuses himself to get some rest and make preparations to leave, telling Kastix to come as soon as he is ready.
(At the duergar compound)
Pax and the others arrive just as Sekkar and Derendil are leaving, followed by Mipry and Yantha.
(After arriving at the gnome compound)
The surviving gnomes come streaming out of the broken gates at the sight of Mipry, Flink and Yantha returning, and there is an outpouring of joy and happy embracing.
How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?

Kaylyn watched Derendil from a distance. He seemed different but Sekkar also seemed wary with him.
"Greetings Derendil. How do you fair? Do you remember me?"
She tread carefully unsure how the quoggath may react.
As Sekkar offered the belt she accepted it with a smile. "If it will not serve you I'm sure at some point it will prove its worth. Thank you."
She puts the belt on and then covers it again with her cloak.
She will also take the Potion of Gaseous form if no one else does just so it's in someone's inventory.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?

(Added Potion of invulnerability to inventory)

Faerzress and Teleporting (slightly modified from the book)
Whenever an attempt it made to teleport into, within, or out of a faerzress-suffused area, all teleporting creatures must succeed on a DC 15 Constitution saving throw.
(She spent several hours the evening before using the writing materials to learn some new spells. She learns : tongues (150), major image (150), knock (100) and alter self (100))
