Kastix's last fire bolt slams into the unconscious dragon. Meepo leaps onto its still form, sobbing and pleading that no-one hurt it any more. As Rhayna struggles to break out of her icy prison, she receives help from her companions to chip away and melt the thin ice layer, and she is finally free. Royan and Kastix look curiously at the tattered and dirty gnome that just appeared.

Yay! - the party just defeated a (baby) dragon, and everyone can LEVEL UP!
Rhayna thanks her companions for the aid in freeing her from her icy prison. She sees Meepo sobbing on top of Calcryx, and she fetches her drawing that was tossed to the filthy floor (hopefully it was not damaged). She sees the drawing, and understands why the dragon wasn't pleased. She realizes that being a scholar does not necessary mean that you are also a great artist. So she is not able to have any ill will towards the White Dragon. She will finish the drawing nonetheless, put her writing apparatus away, and she will give the finished drawing to Yusdrayl.

Kastix will try to pick up the baby dragon and if he finds it too heavy, he'll ask the barbarian for assistance.

"Do you think he will be all right? Probably some healing is needed?" Erky looked at Kaylyn, not sure if those people wanted the dragon to be alive and active or prefer to transport him (are they some kind of dragonhunters?) in unconscious conditions.
To meepo, "He's just a little confused after getting taken. He'll be back to his normal swells after we get him back gone into his roast,"
I wonder is kastix is actually strong enough to carry the Dragon on his own.

(I made the death saves privately. It failed one when Kastix shot it after it went down. Then it passed two, failed another one, and passed a third. So it's stable but unconscious)
(Kastix: STR 16 is pretty good, but I'd say this dragon is heavier than a person, so probably would really struggle without help. I couldn't find the exact weight of monsters anywhere, and didn't bother looking up encumbrance)
Do we get to back to the kobolds without issues? Why I want to be only one carrying the dragon is so Royan is free to fight if needed.

As the limp dragon is tied, Kaylyn searches through the overturned cabinets and shattered glass in the room, but finds a small collection of valuables gathered in a rudimentary nest in the corner. Erky tends to Rhayna as she shakes off the last of the ice from her body. The southern door is easily unlocked, and a cursory glance shows the hazy hallway to be empty.
With the dragon's jaws, wings and legs firmly tied, Kastix heaves the bulk of the beast onto his back. Ireniana helps lighten the load by lifting on the ropes around the dragon's torso. Royan leads the way, one hand lifting the heap by the ropes around the mouth, and sword ready in the other hand. Meepo walks behind, stroking the trailing tail and softly sobbing. Erky follows next, looking curiously at the unconscious beast and wondering what his new associates intend to do with it. Rhayna attempts to return circulation to her fingers by continuing to sketch her portrait of the dragon. And Kaylyn comes behind, examining the collection of items found in the dragon's prison-den.
Items found: - a jade figurine in the shape of a dragon - a crystal goblet - twenty-four pieces of fine silverware - a scroll case carved from bone, etched with Dwarven runes
Making their way back through the quiet halls (and traversing the narrow walkway through the pit room with some difficulty), Meepo speaks the password at the final door, and the party arrives back in the kobolds' main hall. Seeing the limp and bound dragon, the guards gather around the party with a mixture of curiosity and agitation. Yusdrayl is summoned, and she too appears furious as she demands:

Royan helps to carefully carry Calcryx back to the main hall, looking after the creatures head, and making sure that its mouth stays bound to ensure no unwanted 'accidents' occur while they are transporting it.
As they enter the hall, Royan can feel the ire of the kobolds as they saw their beloved Calcryx carried in as if dead. Yusdrayl rushed into the room, her fury plainly evident on her face. "What have you done to our dragon?"
Royan matches Yusdrayl's fury right back at her. He did not want her to feel like she had the upper hand, especially when they were the ones putting their life on the line to retrieve the dragon.Royan carefully places Calcryx's head on the ground. He then turns calmly toward Yusdrayl and takes a single step toward her. He starts speaking to her quietly but firmly. As he speak he raises himself up to his full height, looking down on at the kobold. Whenever he says the word you or your he points forcefully at Yusdrayl and adds a little extra emphasis to the word. "It seems your little dragon was not so willing to come back to live with you. Calcryx froze Rhayna and was willing to kill all of us to keep its freedom. Apparently it (pointing at Calcryx) doesn't like living in a cage. A dragon is not a pet. You should count it fortunate that the Calcryx is alive at all. You can thank Kaylan for tending to the dragon as we brought it back, to ensure it stayed alive for you. I would suggest you either find a more secure way to house this dragon or find some way to live in peace with it. You clearly can't look after it as things are." Intimidation: 23

Yusdrayl is taken aback at the forwardness of Royan's reply. She seems at first angry at his lack of respect for her authority, and the guards tense up noticeably. Kastix casts his eyes around and counts about a dozen kobold warriors, with about a dozen more armed with simple weapons. But as Royan continues his tirade, Yusdrayl looks aside with some degree of embarrassment. She is about to reply when Rhayna presents her sketch of the dragon, and Yusdrayl looks at it admiringly with a much softer countenance. At last she drops her eyes and says:
I thank you for returning our beloved Calcryx to us. I know he can be temperamental, and perhaps we have overlooked how much he has matured. We have nurtured him since his hatching, and have become accustomed to caring for his needs. But he will one day be the master of us all, and we must treat him with the deference and majesty he demands.
She pauses for a moment, then looks at each of you again and says:
You have fulfilled your promise, and I must fulfil mine. You may receive as reward one of our sacred relics (and she gestures toward the altar-throne at the end of the hall).
She then turns to Rhayna and clutching the drawing says: If you be willing to part with this, I would treasure it. I would grant you also one of our relics of your choosing in exchange.
Finally she turns to Meepo and says: Meepo, our beloved Calcryx is no more our ward, thus your service as Keeper of Dragon must end. For your willingness to assist in the return of our beloved Calcryx, you are pardoned for your transgression in losing him. But in recognition of your otherwise faithful service, you are now granted your choice of duty. In what way would you serve us?

"If I heal him he'll become conscious. Leave him as he is, we don't need it attacking us again." Kaylyn answers.

Just in case, and with Rhayna's help, Kaylyn will check on the dragon and stabilize him if needed before searching the room.
