Thinking his bow will do no good against swarms of spiders he will stow away his bow and retrieve a torch and light it

Reyllnn glances over her shoulder to look for the cause of the sound coming from the door and nearly jumps out of her skin. “More to the rear!” Warning given, she completely overreacts, thrusting both hands forwards and bathing the door in flames. 

Burning Hands: DC13 Dex save for each creature in a 15 ft cone (aimed at the door/spiders), 11 fire damage on failure, half on success

Shaul strikes the swarm coming down from the doorway with his staff just as Reyllnn burns them with her spell. 

Elias has an attack with his torch if he desires. I replied to your PM on how to use it.

Elias moves to the fireplace and uses his torch to try to burn the spiders coming out of it

Following the burn from Elias's torch, the spiders at the fireplace move to attack Elias and those by the door descend on Shaul.

Bite on Elias: Attack: 5 Damage: 10

Bite on Shaul: Attack: 4 Damage: 3

Reginald of Neverwinter:

Having never encountered spiders swarming like this, Reg, figures swatting them with the sword he has in hand is a good start, especially when liberally supplemented by stomping of his plate boots on any that get underfoot.  Reg moves diagonally down to the left and engages the southern spiders.

OoC - I'll go ahead and post my action now even though Beric is up before me, I might get pulled into some things at work this morning.

Keric Mar:

Keric takes a step towards the swarm of spiders in the north corner and attempts to mash then with his warhammer.

• Move: one square north west
• Action: Warhammer Attack: 24 Damage: 7

Reginald moves to the spiders near the fireplace and strikes with his sword. Since there is a large number of spiders, his hit strikes some and they scatter before reforming. 

Keric moves toward the spiders near the door. He swings with his hammer but the spiders scatter just before his it happens and he strikes the floor with a loud thump.

Beric's turn before return to top of the round.

Captain Blackhand: Blades drawn, Beric slashes wildly at the spiders before him.

Action - Main-Hand Attack: 7 Damage: 10

Bonus Action - Off-Hand Attack: 7 Damage: 2

After reeling from the heavy attacks I suffered from the group of spiders that caught me by surprise, after managing to get them off of me, I strike once more at the group of spiders in front of me with my quarterstaff, dual handed

Attack: 20 Damage: 4

After my strike, assessing my wounds and the situation, I take up a defensive stance, use a ki point and use patient defense which allows me to take the Dodge action as a bonus action

after seeing his torch idea not doing much damge Elias drops his torch into the fire place to keep other spiders from coming down the chimney (hopefully).

He draws 1 short sword and swings at the swarm attack: 9  damage: 7

Reyllnn throws a smaller mote of fire amongst the spiders.

Attack: 20 Damage: 5

Shaul strikes the swarm in front of him, smashing a large amount of the spiders. A few are still left and move to bite once again with disadvantage. 

The attacks by Elias and Reyllnn miss and the swarm bites at Elias once again.
