Reginald hacks at the spiders with his Longsword and stomps on them with his heavy boots. He holds his shield at an angle, ready to intercept any attacks against his companions (attack and use protection ability to impose disadvantage on spider attacks against adjacent ally).

Captain Blackhand: Wiping spider guts from his blades, Beric says, "At least they wasn't Giant Spiders, eh?" After searching the room, The Captain again will take the lead. Moving then feet ahead of the party, the Pirate creeps out of the room, continuing east down the hall.
Reg follows after the scouts in the party, shield at the ready and one hand on the hilt of his Longsword, ready to spring into action at a moment’s notice.

Moving further down the hallway, you come to another doorway on your left. This door is missing from the frame. This room appears to be another dirty, decaying bedroom without furniture. Even viewed from the doorway, it’s evident that the floor in here does not look safe; some of the floorboards are missing, and others are partially dislodged.
"Beric, why don't you use your well honed, cat-like reflexes to check out this room, with a little help from the deep, of course." Keric says, and casts Guidance on Beric.

Captain Blackhand: Nodding doubtfully, Beric creeps forward, peering into the empty room. Placing a single foot into the chamber, the Pirate presses down onto the floorboards with his heel. Lightly at first, then harder as he gradually applies more weight.
Perception: 7 + 2 (Guidance) = 13
If he judges it safe enough to enter, Beric stays the the right of the room as he preforms a quick search, including under the floorboards.
In moving into the room, Beric can see the weak floorboards and can warm the others where they are. Looking in the wind sill, you can see scratch marks and disturbances in the dust on the floor below the window. It appears that someone has placed something on the window sill, perhaps multiple times, and sat or stood in front of the window recently.

OOC: Sorry for the long delays lately, work continues to take up too much fun time. We also seem to have lost Shaul.
The attacks by Reyllnn, Elias, and Keric squash and burn all of the spiders near the door. Those near the fireplace have seen their number dwindling.
The group near the fireplace go to attack Elias once again. Attack: 16 Damage: 6
