Captain Blackhand: Having done his best to save to foolish man, Beric solemnly climbs the cliff face. Rejoining the others, he says, "Well, 'is ghost can't haunt us fer not tryin'! Let's finish explorin' the 'ouse so I can get me a drink!" The Pirate takes one last look down into the dark water below before falling into formation.

"I applaud your effort, Beric, but I fear Ned is dead," says Reg, adding, "And it appears we have defeated the evil creatures in the house--but I doubt the bar is still open at this hour of the night."
Reg goes to the center of the house upstairs and downstairs, using his Divine Sense twice more to check for other, hidden threats. Assuming there are no creatures detected, he says, "The house seems clear, as far as I can tell. Let's go back to the inn and get some rest before we go see Captain Fireborn in the morning."
"Is anyone injured?" Reg asks (he has 5 hp of Lay on Hands available to cure a disease, poison, or 5 hp--if no one else is damaged, he will use it on himself).

Nodding in satisfaction, Reg states, "I do not sense the presence of any more evil creatures or undead. Is there anything else we need to do here, or shall we go back to the inn and get some sleep?" he asks the others.

Captain Blackhand: Frowning at the thought of the tavern being closed, Beric remembers the bottle of rum in his jacket. Removing the cork with his teeth, the Pirate takes a long swig of the sweet liquor. Feeling quite accomplished and proud, he says, "A job well done, me mateys! Let's head on back and get some shut-eye."

Reg, that’s any amazing list of the loot from the house. Good work.
OOC: Thanks, Kryptikk81. Hopefully we can fill in the blanks on some of the items (value and/or magical properties) with the applicable rolls and come up with a fair way to share the loot.

So the group makes their way back to the Snapping Line inn, where you had already secured lodging. The sun is just starting to rise as you arrive at the inn and make your way to your rooms. You take a long rest and awake to sounds of typical working town. With this one being near the ocean, you hear workers on the docks unloading supplies from ships and traders at the nearby market selling their wares.
Assuming everyone is okay with Reg keeping the plate armor, he will polish it up as he gets ready in the morning, making sure it and the matching longsword & shield are all in excellent condition before coming down to...lunch, maybe? He pays ahead for another night's stay, leaving his chain armor neatly stored in his room, then waits for the others to join him in their own time (he intends to sell the armor at half price, but he will give it to anyone in the party who wants it, seeing he now has plate armor).
"Shall we go speak to Captain Fireborn after lunch?" he asks as the others filter down into the main room.

Elias will join Reg at the table and order a meal. Looking at Reg, saying: " That plate suits you well. You really cleaned it up well." "Aye, I agree we need to talk with Captain Fireborn as soon as possible."
"Also, do youthink we need to report the 'contraband' found in the tunnels? There may be a reward for it's return."
OOC: thought i would bring it up since it's not on the loot sheet & i also assumed we filled our wine skins with some brandy in one of the opened casks :D

Reginald of Neverwinter:
"Definitely. I expect Captain Fireborn may want to use it as bait to lure in the smuggler ship, assuming we've got the candle signaling system figured out," responds Reg quietly, looking around. "As long as we can keep our night-time raid quiet, we should have a chance to draw in the smugglers, I hope. We'll see what the Captain says," he adds.

In looking through their loot, Reg realizes that several of the items radiating magic still need to be identified, but his training as a guardsman makes him reluctant to make too many waves in town with items from a smuggler's hideout before first coordinating with the local law.
"Shall we go visit Captain Fireborn now? Hopefully we can coordinate with him on taking 'legitimate' ownership of the loot and maybe setting up a trap for the smugglers," says Reg.

Elias will look around and see if Hanna is here. If Hanna is about he will flag her over and ask: "Would you be able to direct us to Captain Fireborn? I believe he said we could find him at his home on a hill that overlooked the sea on the edge of town. If you could point us in the right direction we would appreciate it."
