Tom Tom looks to Silas, "Yeah. We'd located 4 on this side of the river. Another group went to the other side of the river, but we haven't heard back from them." He describes them, but they are the 4 you're already aware of. They hadn't found the last one you were just at, in the middle of the river.
The group doesn't hold Tom Tom or the others to any servitude for their 'rescue' and so, with another firm hand shake, the scout and the three warriors turn and head down the main boulevard heading out of town. The gear is split up (you can make a full list in the OOC private thread) and you turn to resume your march towards the other side of the river. About an hour in, the ice tiger stops, badly melted, and crumbles into chunks of ice. You continue. The day begins to draw on as you eventually reach the large log and cross to the far side. While in the middle, you feel terribly exposed, but you're watchful and careful and don't see any threats.
At the end of the main boulevard close to the cliff face, just south of the palace grounds you spot another obelisk and close in, carefully watching for movement. A pair of needle like columns mark the entrance to a walled ruin. In the courtyard beyond, banyan roots envelop a squat building. The stone doors that seal the entrance are carved with images of snarling bears with long, sharp claws. Obo'Laka's Shrine. Badger translates the Old Omuan engraving across the top of the entrance. "Obo'laka teaches us to tread warily and stay in the light."
The doors are slightly ajar and the large metal hinges look badly rusted. A hard push and they grind open enough to enter, but make a grinding squealing noise as they move. Inside, a passageway leads immediately to the right. The walls of the dark corridor are covered with painted reliefs showing Omuan people hunting, harvesting fruit, planting crops, crafting weapons, feasting, fighting, weaving, and skinning animals. Eight empty torch brackets protrude from the walls under the reliefs.
Sickle looks to the left wall, his finger moving towards a ridge, then steps back. "There's a hidden door in this wall." After he points it out, you can all see it.

"If it saidnwe are to stay in the light. Shouldn't we light the torches and put them in the brackets or at least in the one by the hidden door? Better yet, can't you, ya know, use magic and float it over there?" Grenk asks to the others.

Mal will first take a look at the secret door to see if it is trapped and or locked. Then she will take the torches and then proceed slowly down the hallway placing the torches in the brackets. Before entering the hallway and before placing a torch in a bracket she will do a quick inspection of the area for any traps.
The secret door doesn't have a lock, it looks like it should push open, but a couple quick firm pushes reveal that it doesn't budge.
You move down the hallway, filling the brackets with lit torches. 8 torches later and the hallway is fully lit. At the end is an unlocked door. Opening it up reveals a 25 x 20 room. A glorious sun is carved on the ceiling, directly above a pool of still water. The ceiling reflected in the pool doesn't show a sun carving, but rather a moon carving.
Looking about the room reveals no other interesting features. A thorough search reveals no apparent secret doors.

Disappointed Grenk moves into the room with the pool. He b looks at the pool and sees a moon and then up and sees the sun. He points, "These don't match... you think its magic? Got ta be magic." He pauses for a moment and then gets down on his knees with his hands on the side of the pool. He will pull a knife and touch the water with it. If nothing bad happens he will touch it with his finger quick. Again if nothing bad happens he will take a deep breath stick his head through the surface.
Grenk's blade touches the water sending small ripples across the surface. Nothing. Grenk touches his finger carefully to the water. Nothing. Grenk sticks his face in the pool. When he opens his eyes and looks around, he's looking up, and out at another room. A full moon is carved on the ceiling here, directly above the pool. The walls are decorated with reliefs of the Omuan people carrying out daily chores. From his angle, he can't see much more.

He pulls his head out and shakes the water off. "Yep, magic," he says and wipes water from his eyes. "You go into the water and its a different room. That one has a moon on the ceiling... so that is a thing."

Oh, how interesting! squeaks Badger, and he runs over to try for himself and have a look. But you know - he's short and has to lean in further than the goliath... and the edge is now wet and a bit slippery... and he was running to get there and a bit over-enthusiastic, so that's kinda dangerous...

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Mal will sigh and grab an end of her rope and wrap it around her wrist as she follows badger into the pool, tossing the other end of the rope to Grenk, "Don't let go and if you feel me tug on it, pull with all your strength."
Mal steps into the knee high deep pool....then when nothing happens, lays down. When she submerges herself things changes and she rises up out of the water and, standing up, looks around. Badger is standing in the water next to her. You're in a similarly sized room. A full moon is carved on the ceiling here, directly above the pool. The walls are decorated with reliefs fo the Omuan people carrying out daily chores. The rippling water at your feet doesn't reflect the moon above, but rather the sun carving from the other room. The rope around your wrist ends after 1 foot, its frayed end severed from the other side. There is a door that exits to one side of the room. It's dark and quiet here aside from the echoing of water dripping from your soaked gear. You see light shining from under the door.
Grenk holds the rope letting it out unti it snaps almost immediately. Figuring something is wrong, Grenk jumps into the pool and bursts out the otherside arms stretched and roaring out expecting an enemy. Water sprays about and he turns this way and that trying to find the danger.
A few moments later Sickle joins the group. You're all together in the moon room, dripping wet. One obvious exit. Also, Sickle points to one of the walls, "Secret door". Pushing on it, it doesn't move, and there doesn't seem to be an obvious way to open it.
Badger can't tell if that was a portal to a different room, or if this is another version of the same room, but opening the door might help shed some light on the matter... Still after falling in the water the gnome decides to be more cautious...

Badger admits he never learned the spell for creating light.
