Imma just take what you got there.  Mal slams her blades into the creature as it rises from the font, sending chunks of metal, bone and flesh flying around the room.  31 damage.

 (there's nowhere to hide in this room, it's too tiny, but you could walk out of the room through either secret door if you prefer). 

9 Initiative 

Grenk nearly stumbles back as the creature starts to rise but he catches himself and aims to lop off the arms.

Attack: 22 Damage: 6 + 8 fire + 5 radiant + 4 radiant if its undead

Attack: 12 Damage: 8 + 8 fire + 3 radiant + 5 radiant if its undead

Grenk swings wildly missing twice, clearly surprised by the emergence of something from a shallow bit of water. 

Sickle Init 4

Sickle will swing his staff, causing it to erupt and bend I;to the shape of a flaming scimitar, and sclicing ot down at the creature as it emerges from the fount. BA: Flame Blade at 2Nd level. Action to attack, using Inspiration dice to hit.

Attack: 16 Damage: 14 fire damage

Sickle's flame smashes across the shoulder of the thing, sending smoke and fire spraying.

Of course Badger foresaw the possibility that this could happen, and was ready to retreat from the font as soon as the hand emerged. Shrinking back into the safest corner, he casts Mage Armor on himself (Safety First!). He then fumbles around in his pouch looking for his most powerful spell scroll...

The creature pulls itself up into the room with a flood of water and roars as the flaming sword strikes it.  It looks to Sickle and swings twice at him.

Everyone's next turn and Silas' first turn!

Silas in the back, clicks his hands in it's direction as a Sacred Flame attempts to burn it before sending a Healing Word at Mal.

Grenk recovers his footing and tries to attack again.  This time with more confidence. 

Attack: 8 Damage: 11 + 4 fire + 6 radiant + 6 radiant if its undead

Attack: 19 Damage: 5 + 6 fire + 5 radiant + 2 radiant if its undead 

Mal continues her attack at the creature, hoping to kill it as soon as possible.

Sneak Attack Damage applied to 1st successful hit: 5

In his nervous state, Badger can't seem to find the scroll he's looking for, but notices that the creature didn't seem to like Grenk's flaming sword. Maybe...

Badger casts Chromatic Orb at 4th level. Attack: 14 Damage: 29 fire damage

Grenks' sword slams into the creatures heavily armored body, Mal's blades slash forward biting, Silas' flame slashes into the thing and then a ball of fire shoots forward and the creature collapses backwards into a heap, burning through it's iron armor, the room filling with the stench of burning flesh. The crackle of heated rotten flesh and the sizzle of the evaporating water fills the air. The stone floor here has a thin layer of water from all the water that flowed out of the font. It only has about an inch of water left in its three foot deep well. 

From across the room, Badger pokes the corpse with his Mage Hand, wondering where the flesh comes from. How many of these creatures are there? he asks rhetorically. Those dwarves must use that workshop to construct them, or rebuild them. 

Turning to the others, he says: Shall we see what's at the other end of this hallway? Maybe there is more we can learn about how this dungeon works, and how to avoid any further danger... He indicates back down the other end past the stairwell.

Mal will give a cursory look down the passageway for anything amiss, "No time like the present."

Perception: 7

"Can anyone make the workshop unusable?" Silas questions, "Or you think we took enough tools?" Silas will try to keep Guidance up on Mal as he scouts ahead just in case.
