Mal walks past the hallway, seeing it goes down about fifty feet and opens into a room. She reaches the double doors and checks them quietly. They appear unlocked. No sound comes from either the hallway, nor the behind the door.

Better to check the open hallway first, before opening a closed door. At least if something comes through the door there is more chance we might hear it first, suggests Badger, leaving room for the warriors to pass...

Grenk appears at the entrance to a large room. A four-columned portico juts out from the far wall, beneath which a stone sarcophagus rests in a wall recess. Four ceramic frog masks hang in niches around the sarcophagus. Beneath the masks, humanoid bones are strewn across the floor. To the east, a large carving of a tentacled frog-monster squats above a shrine. Offerings lie on a shelf before it. Four rectangular frescoes adorn the adjacent walls. The frescoes depict four scenes. In the first, a frog-like behemoth uses its tentacles to help the Omuan people knock down a mighty statue. In the foreground, an old woman wearing a frog mask tosses five coins from her hand as though sowing seeds. In the second, a frog·like behemoth wraps its tentacles around a giant crocodile as Omuan hunters stab the crocodile with their spears. In the foreground, an old man wearing a frog mask holds a bug up to his open mouth. In the third, a frog-like behemoth with four Omuan hunters riding on its back finds a small boy in the jungle. The hunters seem elated. In the foreground, a young woman wearing a frog mask holds a knife in one hand and a headless chicken in the other. In the last, a frog-like behemoth wallows in a shallow pool as Omuans offer it urns of food and treasure as tribute. Cracks in the fresco obscure the head of the human figure in the foreground, but you can see that it grasps a lit candle. Sitting on the shelf by the shrine you see a 6-inch-tall stone statuette of a froghemoth, which weighs 5 pounds and has an inscription on its base in Old Omuan: "Give thanks to me as others have done since the dawn of time." There is also a copper bowl containing rat bones, four dead cockroaches, a green wax candle and 5 gp.
On the right wall, a skeleton clings to the wall, it's knees and elbows bent backwards, as it regards Grenk.
I'jin whispers to Grenk, "Ooooooh, this is powerful Kubazan's shrine.... He might be big and tough, but I'm really more fun, wouldn't you agree?"

"Yah, you're fun and all and I'm not concerned with taking on another spirit. But we need that key. You think the frog thing would be upset if I went in took it and left?" Grenk whispers in response not sure how the whole mind conversation works.
I'jin pauses, thinking about your question ever so briefly, "Look, I'm no Moa, all wise and crap, but there's only one way to find out, right? Just get in there and get it!"

Grenk is going to put his hand into his coin purse and pull out 7 gold and toss it towards the alter. "Tribute to the great frog..." and rushes after the key to try and grab it.
No perception roll is necessary, the skeleton is obvious, hanging to the wall of the shrine, with no apparent way to escape. It's 25 feet away. She does hear Grenk whispering to himself (his side of the conversation only).
Grenk rushes after the key. The key attempts to escape, but with nowhere to go, it then quickly tries to stab Grenk with a dagger. The group quickly takes it down and defeats it....leaving a key now in your possession from this floor.

Mal will then without touching the frog statue put it in a bag and then her backpack. She is tired of her companions being taking over by "gods". It never seems to go well for her.
Badger hurries to catch up with Grenk and Mal, intent on ensuring that Grenk doesn't do anything too destructive under I'jin's influence. When they enter the tomb, Badger is transfixed on the wall frescoes, and gives only the most perfunctory assistance to apprehending the skeleton key. He thinks he sees the connection between the images in the foreground of Omuans offering tribute and the small tokens in the bowl, and one of the phrases from the plaque comes to mind. The walls of history tell all, he murmurs to himself, and considers attempting to make the tribute himself when Mal steps in and covers the idol. Getting the hint, Badger scowls and turns to depart the room, determined to return at some future time to decipher the mystery.
Well, we have the key now, he says. Where to now? Up? Down? Continue to explore this level?
