As Mal touches the egg, a tendril of slime rises from its surface and transforms into a frog-like head that bobs toward you. A croaking voice sounds out in her mind: " Nangnang will help you now." to which Papazotl responds, "Get away! She's mine!! GET BACK!" NangNang mutters, "No...my host...she is mine..."
The rest of the group watches as suddenly Mal arches her back, her body twitching slightly as she clutches a petrified egg in one hand. A frog shaped ghostly slime hovers near her.....the shadowy form of a long legged bird with a sharp beak also sprouting out from her, and the two begin battling....but the shadowy heron like bird strikes a blow and the slime gets sucked back into the petrified egg that Mal is holding. "Upstart amphibian, know your place!" mutters Papazotl to Mal's mind. Mal, you know that the petrified egg in your hand acts as a Pearl of Power.

Mal shakes her head for a minute and then stares down at the egg and then with a grimace she turns to Silas and tosses it to him, "You can use this better than I, also here is a potion that was next to it, I have no use for it you might as well have it."
Then he will move to the northern wall with the small passageway and give it a look.
"So... one spirit per body is probably best. Anyone, not harboring a dead God's spirit? If so, I vote you as team moral compass and permission to smack someone with my full support, including me, if we are not behaving right."
Badger hasn't even risen from the floor to respond to Mal when the ghostly conflict begins. But the scene doesn't inspire him to want to take any further look in the sarcophagus. He instead turns to Sickle to ask if the druid can provide any more healing. Badger then walks back to the dusty bottle/lamp in the hall to take another look (without touching it) and see if it might have caused the wind. Arcana: 19

Silas, a petrified magical egg with a trickster god in it is flying towards you. Grab it or avoid it?
Sickle walks over to Badger. He silently places an icy cold hand upon Badger's skin...and Badger feels healing sooth into him, 22. "Anyone else need healing?"

Badger, still feeling sore...and perhaps a bit sour....walks over to the bottle. He squints at it, in surprising seeing a figure , tiny, and moving, inside the glass bottle, though it's beneath the layers of dust so it's rather blurry. There is a cork stopper in the top of the bottle. He can even hear a muffled voice. "mmwwfasggg ggwwaammfdd doo yollmmm waammdd".
Silas sits in the other room, continuing his healing spell. Grenk stands off to one side in the room where he can watch Badger down the hallway, and Mal. Mal stands near the sarcophagus, also watching Badger investigate down the hall. Both of them can see he's taken an interest in the bottle and is moving his face closer to it to investigate it, but can't see what he sees, nor hear any voice...except for Silas' droning on as he weaves his magic.
The mushed demonic frog thing and it's blood stinks strongly of fish and is nauseating.

Mal becomes very interested in what Badger is doing and will join him, tossing a lit torch onto the dead body of the creature to hopefully rid her nostrils of the putrid smell. On the way she will pick the egg back up and place it back in her pouch for another day.
"Yo Badg...What has you so interested?" Mal asks him as she moves to stand right next to him.
Replying to Mal, but not taking his eyes from the bottle, Badger murmurs: There's something moving inside... He reaches out his hand then thinks better of it and instead conjures his Mage Hand, using it to lift the bottle, rub some dust from the surface and bring it toward his eyes for a better look...

The mage hand lifts the bottle up, using a thumb to wipe away the thick dust. Inside, you see...a small creature....with no legs but just brown smoke as a lower body....hovering inside. It's face arms and upper body appear to be made from hard cracked rock. It appears to be female. It wears a glittering adorned vest type thing, set with tiny gems. She's talking...and it's a bit muffled from being in a bottle, but you're sure you don't understand her. (Anyone understand Terran?)
She seems to motion to the stopper several times as she's talking and gesticulating. You think she looks a little bit bossy and demanding.

"Urgh, it seems to be a genie of some kind", Badger calls out to the others, holding the bottle out with his magic hand for them to see. "Now how did the stories go? Rub the bottle for wishes? Make a deal to set it free? I'm not quite sure..."
If we aren't in a hurry, Badger will ritual cast Comprehend Languages and then hear what the genie is saying.

No one seems in a massive hurry. Silas is able to complete his prayer of healing spell though while Mal, Grenk and Sickle make themselves comfortable. Shortly after badger is done his spell.
The muffled voice says, “Well, can we speak now? Do you understand me tiny hairy man? Uncork this bottle and release me. Unless of course you are evil and prefer to leave me stuck in this bottle.”
Any reply results in, “I can not understand your words creature. Release me and I’ll be able to use my magic so we can talk. This is getting us no where. Take. The. Cork. Out.” She gesticulates at the cork wildly.

Silas stands up from his prayer eyeing the egg and then eyeing his Ioun Stone, "I do not requires such an item especially as it came from this accursed place," Silas looks around before setting his eyes on the bottle, "I believe this matter should be handed maybe after we rest for a time. Badger takes Silas' warning seriously, and decides not to risk opening the bottle too soon. And besides, he is sure that genies stuck in bottles are usually are potential source of aid, and that they should attempt to strike some kind of deal before releasing the creature. Knowing that he can only understand the genie but not speak, he instead takes the bottle into the larger room where the others can see and hear. He places it on the ground so he can use three hands to attempt to communicate by sign language.
Badger makes the following signs: 1) point at the genie, 2) mime bowing down, 3) point to himself, 4) mime uncorking the bottle

Laughter it would seem, does not need a translator. "You want me....to bow down to....YOU...HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAA!! HAHA!! HAAAA! Oh, my goodness." The hollow tiny-creature laughter coming from the bottle and directed at Badger is simultaneously cute, and demeaning. "How about you open the bottle, and then when I appear I won't just chop your head off. Does THAT sound like a good deal? YOU LITTLE...." she seems to get angry...and takes a moment to calm down, then waves her hands, ".... look, I'll give you some shiny treasure too, ok. Let me out of here, I WON'T chop your head off, AND I'll give you some shiney trinkets. They're mine...so...the embarassment and anguish I will suffer losing my precious gems will be tough to handle, but....if it'll get me out of this bottle, then FINE...some treasure for you too."

Mal is leaning against the wall behind Badger impatiently tapping her foot, "What is it saying, we should stop wasting our time with this and move on. If that thing can't help us, leave it be as there was obviously a reason it was imprisoned."
Badger makes a very exaggerated nonchalant shrug along with his best facial expression of indifference and calls out to Mal: Yes, let's move on, shall we. He gets up and prepares to leave, but then holding the bottle behind his back he grins at Mal and says: It is offering us treasure in exchange for release. But I think we can do better. I'll let it stew in there for a while, then see if it changes its tune in an hour or so. Rather than stowing the bottle in a pouch, Badger will continue to carry it with the magic hand so that he can listen to the genie while his divination spell lasts.
