Gallia Campaign 1

“I don’t have a problem going and talking with Iarno. I wanted to have a chat with him about the Crown Guardians anyways. Oh….and” Gimble days as he pulls out the pouch from Chin. “I have our payment for removing those silly little goblins. Shall we separate it out now?”

"That's good thinking, Misty" Casmir concurs. "As the wise Aurelius used to say, 'If it is right, do it' But I don't remember what he said about how to choose which right thing to do..." And after a moment's thought: "If you want I can visit Iarno with you, Gimble."

Stannic pats his hands on the table “And I would like to go with you, Misty.  See a little more of this stone city and maybe pick up a trinket or two. Do we need any supplies to go wherever this map leads?”

Gimble begins to divide the gold…”One for me, one for you…” eventually finishing up. “Ok, that’s 150 for each of us. Definitely enough to get something fun to play with. As for buying supplies, maybe we should wait to see what the dwarf has for us. No need to waste gold on something we won’t need.”

Gimble looks to Casmir, “Sure, maybe we can see if they have some gold for us too. Or at the least what kinda trouble we can get into with the Crown Guardians.”

(Bump) 

(OOC: so i got Misty and Stannic going to sell items. I'll need to know what shop you intend to go to. Gimble and Casmir are going to the palace to meet with Iarno to report clearing the castle of goblins [mostly]. If that is correct let me know, and I'll post a story update. If I got something wrong also let me know and i will do that instead.)

(Misty was planning on using the same shop Gimble used last time, where he worked out the deal with the owner.)

@ Misty, and Stannic, Depart from the Stonehill Inn, and begin heading towards the shop of their choice. (OOC: I assume you mean Orccheck's Removals, the weapon and armor merchant. The party has a discount there, but the party also has a discount at Barthen's Provisions the general goods store. Or if you intend to go to both that works too.)

@ Gimble and Casmir, The two of you leave the Inn and head towards the palace, it takes a decent amount of time to move through the city, as both the distance and you are going up hill. The Palace Guards let you in. Once you enter the palace, you ask one of the servants where Iarno is, and they take you to him. Iarno: (to Gimble and Casmir) "You return. How did it go?" Iarno is sitting behind a desk in the room you are all in. He does not get up to greet you.

“It went well,” Gimble responds while moving to the desk. “We cleared the castle and rescued the merchant. It was a bit odd though. It appeared as if a drow was working with the goblins. But once the drow was defeated, it’s appearance changed….to something indescribable.”

Gimble pauses for effect and then goes on. “On our way back to the castle we passed a single goblin heading that direction, we let him live because our the merchant was in bad shape and we figured it best to just continue moving.”

He turns to Casmir. “That about sum it up?”

"That's correct, friend Gimble" Casmir replies, then looks at Iarno and asks "Would there be anything else the Princess would like us to do?"

@ Gimble and Casmir, Iarno looks surprised and concerned at the mention of a drow. Iarno: (to Gimble and Casmir) "A drow? Was it a drow or was it a creature in disguise? I'll send some knights to secure the castle, one goblin should be no match for them." Iarno turns towards Casmir as he talks. "The Princess is very busy, you are in my care until i give the approval for your group to join the Crown's Guardians. Good work so far, but I want you to see this through. If possible I want you to find out about this drow, or mystery creature. Where did it come from and whats its goal? If you come up on a dead end with it, come back to me and I'll see what else I can find for you all to do."

Misty takes the items they wish to sell, first to the weapons and armor shop, then will take anything else on to the general store.

@ Misty and Stannic, It does not take you very long to get to Orccheck's Removals. The building, both inside and out, looks better than it did the last time you were here. There are some customers, some just browsing, one talking to Grumm, others in line. After waiting a few minutes, both of you move up the line and talk with Grumm. Grumm: (to Misty and Stannic) "Hello again. How can I help you two today?"

(Who is tracking what we have for loot? I have no clue what we are selling...)

 “I’m sorry Iarno, I don’t know what kind of creature it was. I can only tell you it was NOT a drow. We can definitely look into it and see what it’s goal was.

I forgot to mention it was working for someone called the Spider. I don’t know if that’s a group or an individual, either way, that may be another lead  to track down. You wouldn’t know of any organizations here in, or around, the city with bad intentions, related to the Spider or otherwise would you? Any info on groups of that nature you have may give us a head start into finding more out about this Spider.

On a side note, I was curious if there is any room in the Crown Guardians, or otherwise for me. Specifically the training I had received while in Nisras. Trained in espionage and counter there and was curious if those skill sets may be handy here. 

Either way, I think that’s all I have for now. Casmir how about you?”

@ Gimble, and Casmir, Iarno: (to Gimble and Casmir) "Either way, this not drow should be a priority for your group. I have not heard the name the Spider. My time in the capital I've been trying to root out the bandits. Thanks to you all, the problem has been dealt with. A spy could be useful, I don't think any of these threats come from within, they are all outside forces. They are taking advantage of the Kingdom's weakened state after the treaty. This is on top of most of the Crowns Guardians are spread throughout the kingdom dealing with other issues. With Sildar and myself I think we can reclaim some peace and order. Should your group be successful with this investigation with the Spider and not drow, I see no reason to give my approval to the Princess and have you all join the Crowns Guardians. Find this Spider, and any information you can. For all we know, the spider is the one that has sent all these dangers towards us. If we look at things at a large scale, we got three outside forces attacking the kingdom all at once, goblins, bandits and orcs. Now we see some mysterious figure in the shadows. I would not be surprised if this was all a front, trying to cover something even more sinister. Tread carefully, we do not know anything about this spider."

 Gimble thanks Iarno and turns to Casmir. “Well I think we’re done here. We should probably make our way back to the group. Iarno, shall we show ourselves out?”

Misty lays out their loot for the shop owner to look over. "We wanted to get some items we recovered off of our hands." She explains with a smile for the shop owner.
