Stannic eyes the sign announcing the mandatory evacuation “Orc Raiders”he murmurs “If the Kingdom ordered an evacuation, there may not be many left in town. Let’s see if they will welcome visitors.” He will also watch for any woodland creatures that may be nearby. If he spots one, he will try to communicate and ask if there are any Orcs around.

@ Gimble, You come to the conclusion that given the Orcs were a problem before you entered the capital it is likely that the evacuation happened a while back. Your inspection of the sign confirms that the sign is no older than a month old.
@ Casmir, You are very confident that there are no immediate dangers or anything of concern in the immediate area.
@ everyone, Gundren: (to the party) "They were starting the evacuations when the first part of my family's expedition followed the map." Gundren motions for the oxen to start moving down the dirt road towards Conyberry. Everyone continues down the dirt road until you arrive at Conyberry. You all see the forest around the trail and the town grow dark and still. Heavy vines and thick layers of moss drape the abandoned buildings. Gundren: (to the party) "Well... this place is creepy. Greg and I will setup camp. I'd appreciate it if you adventurers checked the buildings to make sure they are empty. This place is defensible right?"
@ everyone, (OOC: what do you do?)

@ Stannic, There appears to be no wild life in the area. Its almost like a dead zone except the creepy plant life.
@ Gimble, You start looking at the abandoned buildings of the small town. Nothing specific catches your eye, but you are not sure... You think you see something move in the distance in the corner of your eye. You do not get a good enough look to be able to tell what it could be, if its there at all.
@ everyone, Gundren and Greg move the wagon to the side of one of the buildings. Unhook the Oxen from the wagon and find a nice spot near by to tie them up. They also take some firewood from the wagon, as well as start chopping some of the trees for firewood as they setup. They keep busy and do not pay attention to the party's activities.

“There is no wildlife present. You think that some would move into an abandoned village as soon as the people left. There is not even a mouse. It is odd, eerie even.” he looks as Gimble points out the suspected movement. “Maybe we should stick together as we check out the buildings”
“Let’s check the ones closest to where they’re setting up camp. Let’s start with the one our camp will be backing up to.” Gimble moves towards the door keeping his eyes and ears open for any sign of…trouble.
@ Gimble and Stannic, You both enter the first building closest to your camp site. It appears to be someone's home, or was someone's home. There are still some possessions and knick knacks but the building is mostly empty. (OOC: give me a perception and/or investigation check. depending on what you are doing and if you are being thorough.)

Casmir stands at the door, looking out to see if anything suspicious moves while listening to Gimble and Stannic's comments. He doesn't search the house.
@ Gimble, You take your time looking through the house, nothing out of the ordinary is found. As you search the house, insects flee out of your way. Unless you want to collect up items left behind, nothing in the house holds your interest.
@ Casmir, Gimble and Stannic are slowly looking through the house, you pay little attention to them. They stay focused on their search. You on the other hand are watching the rest of the small town. You definitely see something or someone in the distance. Whatever it is, keeps to the shadows, which grow bigger as time passes by and the sun goes down. The party is definitely not alone in this town.

Stannic just gives the house a brief look, just to make sure no threats are present. He is not as thorough as Gimble and quickly loses interest, focusing instead on an abandoned barn swallow nest in the corner of an empty room. “Shall we move on to the next house?”he asks as Gimble finishes his search.
@ everyone, The two dwarves are nearly done setting up the camp site. They still pay no attention to the party's activities. It is sunset and the lasts bit of light for the day. What bit of light that hits this semi forested small town.

"I am not sure..." Casmir answers Gimble while still looking ouside. "Looks like someone doesn't want to be seen, and that's usually not a good sign. Should we take a closer look? I'd hate to have a surprise during the night."
(OOC: Where is Ren, is she with us or did she stay with the dwarfs?)
Stannic pauses as he moves to the next house “What, you see something, Casmir? Where? I would rather we find it before it finds us.”Stannic looks up at the darkening sky and prepares to move in whatever direction Casmir points out.
"I couldn't see anything clearly, maybe you can make out what it is. It was about there" Casmir tells Stannic, pointing to where he last saw something. "Meanwhile, let me run real quick and tell our friends we're taking a look around. Maybe ask Ren if she wants to come with?"
