“I guess I’m ready as well. You wouldn’t happen to have any magical daggers that suck the life out of orcs would ya?” Gimble says with a smile as he joins the group.
“Marvelous”Stannic looks at the owl perched on Syl’s shoulder with a curious excitement “What do you call her?” He looks back as the others state that they are ready. “Yes, well, I am ready to go as well. Let’s see about these Orcs.”
@ the party, (OOC: do you plan on just walking up to the ruined city or do you plan on sneaking your way there?) the Knight Officer: (to the party) "Very good, I will be rallying my men." The Knight Officer shows you all the exit to the tent. Gundren: (to everyone) "I think Greg and I will stay in the camp with the wagon and the Oxen. Come get us when the battle is over." Gundren departs before anyone can stop him. The Halfling: (to the party) "I believe we didn't have time for introductions back there. I am Reidoth. A druid of these parts. These orcs have burn anything that gets in their way, and I will not have that. Assuming you all treat nature much better we should get along. I am not great at fighting but I should be able to help you deal with these orcs. I will of course be following your lead. So just give me instructions and I'll do my best. I will tell you something Sir Proudblade forgot to mention. There is a dragon sleeping in the tallest tower of the city. I can only hope that the foolish orcs did not wake the creature. That was the original reason I was hanging around Thundertree. I was trying to lure the dragon back to The Unresting Crags. The orcs showed up before I could do anything. If the dragon awakens, run away at all costs. It is too strong to be fought, and I wouldn't want it to rain destruction upon the forest." The party and Reidoth have been walking and talking and are now on the edge of the camp. You can all still see the billowing smoke coming from the ruins of Thundertree, so you all know which direction the ruined city is from you at all times.
@ Syl, (OOC: If you send your owl to scout ahead, let me know how far and what would trigger your owl to return to you.)
@ the party, (OOC: if you are sneaking to the city, let me know how you intend to do that, and give me a stealth roll. If you are walking right up to the city, we will go straight into combat, so give me an initiative roll in that case.)

Syl says, “Ohh- a Dragon! How interesting.. we will have to be careful. As for tactics, I think we should try to sneak in to a good spot. I’ll see if there’s a less guarded way in we could start with. But once we are spotted, we will start our distraction. And then we retreat as we fight, to lure them into the knights assault trap.”.
she sends her owl up into the air for a bird’s eye view of the city, and then it flies back within telepathic range of her to communicate what it saw.
Syl then casts minor illusion and a beautiful map of the village appears on the ground, showing the group the approach and where the highest concentration of orcs are.
Then, the owl will flit from tree to tree above and ahead of the group but within 100’ of Syl as the group advances using the least guarded approach. (Let us know if this gives any bonus to our stealth checks).
Gimble’s ears perk at the word dragon. “Nice to meet you Reidoth. Did you say a dragon? Here? Has it made a nice lair with lots of goodies yet? Perhaps we can get it to fight with us? What kind of dragon?” He thinks to himself of changing his frog shapes lighter to a dragon. “And as far as going in I like the idea of going as close as we can and then just starting the distraction sucking them out. Reidoth, where is this road the captain wanted us to try and work the orcs to? We should make that our end goal if possible.”
(I’d like to see if it is near the map route Syl brings up)
Gimble moves to his gear and mastiff to prepare to leave. “You stay here with Gundren boy. I really need to name you. Here is a rope knot to chew on for a bit.”
While separate from the group, Gimble checks the satchel Chin gave him (forgot if he checked today, ideally he just checks it every morning).

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the group decides to approach the village with stealth, Stannic pulls everyone close “Gather around, I can help hide our approach.” He sprinkles some ash from his belt pouch and mutters in druidic as shadows darken around the party. “Now, let us be on our way.”
Stealth: 16.
(casting pass without trace everyone who stays within 30 feet gains a +10 bonus to stealth. Stannic will move in the center of the party).
@ Syl, (OOC: give me a perception check from your owl.) Your owl sees the ruins of Thundertree. (OOC: image in the spoiler. The map is not visually accurate. As the city is burning. So all the green plant life is actually fires and ashes. I don't know how to draw over it and have the grid still be on top without them being separate images.) Within the ruins is a large number of Orcs. Its hard to get specific numbers but seems to be of similar amount to the amount of knights you saw in the camp. Admittedly you didn't get a very good look through the camp as the one knight escorted you right to the Officer's tent. Since the orcs burned the area down, the best way to approach would be to get up to one of the buildings. Theres three still standing in the front and three still standing in the back. (OOC: there are no trees for your owl to hide with.) So far the orcs haven't seemed to notice your owl flying over the city ruins.
@ Gimble, Reidoth: (to the party) "What?! No! We must not fight the dragon. I do not think any of you are prepared to deal with a dragon, and besides that this forest has been damaged enough by the orcs, I do not wish for an enraged dragon to take its turn. As for its Lair, it is so far just resting on top of the tower. Some how the orcs destroying the town has not woken it up, and the orcs weren't foolish enough to wake it up. Although, its possible in that number the orcs might stand a chance against it. I rather not risk it. Besides we all told Sir Proudblade we would follow his plan. To distract the orcs long enough for his men to get into position. Based on this map Syl provided us." He points to the illusion. (OOC: the map is in the spoiler feel free to look at. Its not entirely visually accurate as it has been burned down.) "The center of the city has been destroyed. We actually do not need to lure the Orcs out, we just need to keep them in long enough for the knights to hit them from the sides. Keep them trapped in the city." You give your dog mount the knot of rope, and he happily takes it. He does seem a bit dismayed that he is staying behind. Gundren and Greg assure you they'll take good care of him. You check your satchel, and it is still empty. You find yourself relieved as you are too far from Emberhorn to be able to deliver any letters that might show up. Even with Stannics help, you can't help but feel today is not your day for sneaking around.
@ Thok, you are pretty familiar with the wilderness and outdoors you seamlessly blend right in while traveling with the party. On multiple occasions you have to alert the party you are still with them, and they are minorly surprised that you are within eye sight and they just didn't notice you.
@ Stannic, With pass without a trace cast you feel fairly confident this group will not be detected unless they want to. Just as you think that you notice Gimble almost tripping on a lose stone on the ground.
@ the party, (OOC: so far I still need stealth rolls for Syl and Casmir, if they are not stealthing and they stay close to the party, the stealth will basically be canceled out. So I will need stealth rolls or their distance from the rest of the party.) (OOC 2: Once that gets settled, I will need an approach to the city. You have the front of the city with the three intact buildings, You can try going around to the back and try hiding behind one of the three intact buildings in the back. If having a map helps you, there is one in the spoiler, it is not perfectly represented as all the plant life and some of the buildings have been burned down. You can also just stroll in, no stealthing at all. And of course some other clever idea you guys can come up with. There is no time limit, so take your time to plan, or if your plan is long and elaborate that works too. Reidoth is part of the party and will assist in and out of combat. He will likely only help out of combat if specifically requested.) (OOC 3: let me know what you do next.)

Syl points to the map and says “let’s advance sneaking to these buildings in the front, once we get their attention we want to retreat and lure them back out this way, so the knights can flank them here. I think we get as close as we can to the center, taking out as many as we can, but then retreat.”

” Yeah let’s focus primarily on the center building so that the soldiers can get in on both sides. If we keep the orca looking into the center they may miss the hits coming from both angles.”
Stannic looks at the map over Syl’s shoulder “Hmm, I don’t know Gimble, what about the building in the east of the northern group? It has a wide open space in front of it and two narrow points between ruins that may be helpful to slow them down.” He looks over at Reidoth “And where is this dragon sleeping?
