to Gruum - Your pardon, good sir, I had no idea :) I guess I'm used to one stop shops :) 10 silvers for the bolts, please, thank you. o Yes, I almost forgot - how much are javelins? I can I have 5, please?
@ Gimble, Gerrack, Ander: (to Gimble) "He's in the back, i'll go get him. Ander goes into the back of the shop. Elmar Barthen walks back to the front of the shop with Ander. Elmar Barthen: (to Gimble) "Ah, you return. You made it back alive, so i trust those goblins won't be a problem anymore. What can i help you with?" A few minutes later Gerrack comes in to the shop. Elmar hears out Gerracks list of items. Elmar: (to Gerrack) "I'll take the hourglass for 25 gold pieces, i'll take the wolf pelt for 5 gold pieces. I won't itemize that long list but the total will be 38 gold pieces 8 silver pieces, and 1 copper piece. subtracting the money you'd get for the two items, you owe me 8 gold pieces, 8 silver pieces, and 1 copper piece." Elmar motions for someone in one of the aisles to get all these items.
@ Misty, (OOC: read the last post.)
@ Plaugg, Gniff, Branch, Edmond, Grumm looks over Branch's armor. Grumm: (to the party) "I'll give you 5 gold pieces for it." Grumm turns to Edmond. "Thank you." He gives Edmond the crossbow bolts. "Its 4 silvers per javelin with your discount. with five of them that would be 2 gold pieces." Grumm goes around the shop collecting the javelins and brings them back to the counter.

Misty gives the bird-person a nod of greeting. "I am looking for some charcoal, incense, and herbs, the makings of a find familiar spell." She explains as she looks over the components in the shop.
“Hey Elmar! Good to see ya. We did clear a cave network full of em. Between those guys and some bandits, it’s been a rough several days and that potion came in handy. So thank you.” Gimble places the jade frog on the counter.
“So a couple things here. First, would you accept this as payment for the potion? Second I am trying to build a clockwork device that looks like this frog, but I’m in need of Tinker’s Tools to finish the project. If you have any, I’d also need a few other items. A bed roll, a small mirror, a dice set, some playing cards, some parchment and charcoal, and some oil.” Gimble pauses here to give Elmar time to process the requests.
“And I was hoping you’d maybe have some acids and poisons but if I need to go elsewhere, point me in the right direction. There are more of those goblins out there, and I intend to press every advantage I can get my hands on.”
@ Gimble, Gerrack, Plaugg, Branch, Elmar: (to Gimble) "Thank you." Elmar takes the 50 gold owed to him. "That is quite the odd little statue." He inspects it. "I'm not jeweler, but this statue appears to be made out of jade. If so it is very valuable. I'll give you 40 gold pieces for it. tinker's tools, that will be 45 gold pieces." He chuckles for a bit. "Business is picking up, so far its been mostly you adventurers but still. this is good. alright all those items will be 5 gold pieces 5 silver pieces, and 8 copper pieces. Assuming you find 40 gold pieces acceptable for the statue, you still owe me. 10 gold pieces 5 silver pieces and 8 copper pieces." Elmar does like before and motions for one of the workers to start gathering all the items Gimble asked for. "Huh poison... I don't usually deal in that sort of stuff, but i think i might have a vial or two around here. Let me go check in the back." Elmar goes to the back, you can hear some noises as stuff gets moved around. He comes back out with a vial of something. "You are in luck, i happen to have one vial of poison straight from Kharazig. Best poison in the world. One drop of this will make the victim feel terribly ill, two drops and they'll never bother you again. I trust you are going to use this for good, being the good adventurer you are. All the same be careful. I'll let this go for 145 gold pieces." (OOC: for gameplay purposes this poison will be using assassin's blood stats, if you talk to an alchemist or poison maker and have them make you a special poison i can play around with the numbers.) Elmar turns to Plaugg. "How many rations do you wish to purchase?" Elmar turns to Branch "I do have those items and it will cost you 5 gold pieces and 9 silver pieces."
@ Misty, Aureus: (to Misty) "Yes, some." She collects the items. (OOC: all of them. getting your monthly supply worth of spell components.) "30 gold pieces."
@ Gniff, Edmond, Grumm gathers the items requested that he has and places them on the counter waiting to see if the prices are agreeable.
(OOC: in the group private message thread i have discussed the spellcaster components homebrew rule, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. a basic version of the rule is, you do not have to worry about individual spell components, you get them all when you pay your monthly material fee. all spellcasters that have components that get used up when casting spells have to do this or you will not be able to cast spells that require materials.)

Gniff has spent his time while the haggling and shopping occurs poking around the store and taking in the inventory. He does not touch but certainly gets close to many amazing things civilization has created since his little rustic village seperated so many years ago. He then had a bright idea! "Sir! Excuse me, I am terribly sorry to bother you yet again but maybe you have two hunting traps? Maybe three balls of string and about six bells? Strange requests I am sure but maybe," Gniff trails off embarrassingly.
“Well thanks Elmar.” Gimble says with a smile. “Hey can we add 2 pouches of some sort to this?” (OOC I want 2 separate gold pouches) While waiting for an answer, Gimble starts to count on the counter. He then slides forward 155gp 5sp and 8cp.
Gerrack nods in thanks and pushes over the money owed. He also sells his extra waterskin for the extra copper or two it might bring, and restocks select items from his healer's kit for its one expended use.
"Do I owe you anything more?" Gerrack asks, to double check if he has accounted for all of his expenses.
@ Gimble, Gerrack, Plaugg, Branch, Gniff, Elmar: (to Gimble) "Tell you what, you been an excellent customer. You and your friends are giving me plenty of business. two pouches on the house. Keep on doing good work around the city, i'm sure everyone will treat you like this." Elmar collects up the money, Ander brings over all the requested items. Elmar then hands Gimble the vial of potion and two pouches. Elmar turns to Gerrack. "I'll give you 2 silver pieces for the waterskin. to restock your kit will cost 4 silver pieces. so you owe me 2 silver pieces." Elmar collects the coins Gerrack put on the counter. Thistle brings over all the items Gerrack requested. Elmar turns to Plaugg. "I can't offer a discount any further than i already am. I'll lose money at that point. Four rations that will cost you 1 gold and 6 silvers." Elmar then turns to Gniff (OOC: assuming you are at the general goods store) "I do have those things. two hunting traps costs 8 gold pieces. three balls of strings costs 1 gold and 2 silver pieces. six bells costs 5 gold pieces and 4 silver pieces. totaling at 14 gold pieces and 6 silver pieces."

And don’t worry, that poison will only be used on those filth that are causing this city some pain. I promise,” Gimble says while gathering his items.
He turns to leave, saying, “See ya later Elmar!” To the party Gimble says, “We need to talk. Big job! We'll talk details back at the inn. I gota go offload some leather and grab a dagger or two then I’m heading back there. See ya round.” And he walks out the door to go to the Lionshield Coster.

Misty returns to the Stonehill Inn and up to her room. She fills a small brass brazier with charcoal, incense, and herbs, then lights it as she begins to chant the words to call forth a spirit to serve her. Fragrant smoke fills her tiny room, but goes out the window in her room, which she left open for the purpose of the spell.
As the spell completes, a form shimmers above the brass brazier, then solidifies into that of a pure-white owl. Misty holds out her arm and the owl's weight settles on her arm. She reaches a hand out and runs it through the white feathers.
"Sabastian..." Misty speaks the name out loud, as the bird mentally speaks it to her. With a toss of her arm, she sends the owl out through the open window, then smiles to herself as she starts to clean up the brass brazier, the thing mostly empty, the magic having consumed the charcoal, incense, and herbs.
