Sarah let out a small sigh as she looked over at the dwarf who had helped from before, she needed to ask him something “I must ask you something dwarf, how much longer are you willing to help me”

Ulfgard looks up at her, and with a contemplative look he says. “Ulfgard. As long as you don’t call me dwarf.” He smiles. “Moradin has put me here for a reason, he guided my steps to follow you.” Nodding emphatically now. “Yes, I will help you as long as you need.”

Sarah let out a small sigh of relief as she looked at Moradin before holding out a hand “nice to meet you Ulfgard, I....truly appreciate it” she said before sniffling a bit as she shook, she wasn’t much a religious person, but if this Moradin really out this dwarf here, she was truly grateful “we’ll need to head to the swamps in the west, that’s where we need to go” 

Ulfgard looks back towards the town they just hightailed it out of and then back to her. “Well, it’s not like I have somewhere to go back to. Woods, mountains, swamps.... I go wherever he leads me.”

Djorg will be looking around for more stragglers while anxiously waiting for Ravetha helping the citizen. He gestures towards her, "Come on, Come on, almost there!" Meeting up with Ravetha we head towards the gate with the saved citizen.

Ravetha rushes over to the straggling civilian. "I've got you!" She tells them. "Don't let go." She pulls them into her arms and begins to rush as quickly as she can ([action]Dash[/acion] with an Action Surge to boot) towards the gate.

 You successfully save the civilian and reach the gate, knowing that you've done all you could for those you could reach.

Sarah smiled a bit as she looked at Ulfgard “alright then, let’s get going, we’ll need to hurry before something like this happens again” 

The ground still quaking, though it is growing weaker. You look around and are surprised at the few numbers that have made it out of the city successfully. 35 civilians group around Ravetha, Djorg and Tama. They hug each of you and thank you for your efforts to save them with tears in their eyes. They vow that if ever they could repay the debt they will surely do so.

You wouldn't be faulted for estimating the numbers of survivors to be only a few hundred. In moments, roughly 54,000 civilians of Venestrum perished.

(I have a world map I drew up for when I ran this campaign IRL... I have to look for it. If I find it I will post it, if not I may just have to redraw it)

Some general lay of the land: 

• Venestrum is located on the southern most point of the continent of Telmund. The climate here in the south is dry and unforgiving, to the far north is a range of mountains called the Seidnas. The mountains are about a weeks worth of travel. It is said an ancient civilization lives within the mountains, though not many have braved the mountain pass to explore it. The mountain range runs in a semi-circular pattern that encases the following areas:
  • To the west, about a 1.5 days away, the ocean and land mix. Creating the wetlands, that the locals call "The Swamp Lands" There you can expect to find a lot of obstacles such as quick sand for example. Venturing past the wetlands takes you to the Salt-planes.
  • To the east, the closest civilization is about 3 days of travel. A town called Ponte
• Venturing past the mountain ranges exposes you to several different climates. From temperate, tropical to  polar.

It is roughly around 8:00PM. Some of the civilians decided to begin their trek at night, some have decided to wait until morning to see if any other survivors somehow make it to the newly formed coast line.

• The angel mentioned for you to take the fight to the evil that fell to your realms some 600 years ago. The fabled site of where the "evil" landed just past the mountain range.
• You hear some of the people talking of going to the "swamp lands" to try to seek asylum in the elevated villages.
• You also hear some people talking about going to Ponte to start their life again or to visit their shops for supplies.

What do you all decide to do?

Sarah had already decided on heading to the swamp village, she knew that was where her family had went, it seemed that this dwarf has going to come with her, she was lightly suspicious but it seemed he had true intent 

"First things first," Ravetha calls over the group. "Check for any injured, and what supplies people have. We're needing to find shelter nearby and make sure we have food and supplies for those who need them."

As you check the injured, out of the 300 or so people that made it out alive,  185 are injured.

Out of the 185, 46 are injured grievously.

Taking an inventory of people's supplies, you find the following:

• 38 Greater Healing Potions from a few people who worked at a healing ward.
• 14 Feet of bandages
• 3 Days of rations from people who brought food from their homes or from their stores.

"Get the healers to tend to the injured, the able get ready to help others to travel." Ravetha begins barking orders through the group. "If we're going to survive this, we're doing it together! Be ready to march in the hour!"

She then looks to the others in the group. "With this many injured and unable, the nearest place seems like our best chance... Assuming these humans aren't at war with one another."

Sarah looks over at the group amassing and let out a small sigh before putting her mask back on as she looked at ulfgard "I think it might be best to join there group" she said 

Djorg nods to Ravetha "Right, That other group looks startled, but unharmed, I'll tell them to help the others." 

As Djorg approaches a group of unharmed civilians he'll say to that group "Those of you who aren't injured, please tend to them over there" gesturing to a group of injured civilians. "note their conditions and help accordingly. Those who are able, get ready to travel, we need to move and find shelter. Is there anywhere nearby that people might retreat to?"

If needed:

The group of civilians heed your direction and begin helping the injured.

There isn't much between here and the Swamp Lands in terms of shelter. We will likely have to make our own shelter when we set camp. Says one of the townsfolk.

64% of the grievously wounded survived (15 total)

The others are stable though will be slow while traveling.

Ulfgard turns his attention to the big group of survivors and nods to Sarah. "Yes, let's see how everyone is doing. We will probably need as much help and to help as anyone we can."

Sarah slowly began to head over to the group before letting out a small sigh as she looked at the dwarf before he hears a voice in his head that sounds a lot like Sarah's hey, I'd like if you kept where I went to us two alright...
