"I can help out there a bit..." Tempest says as she works to catch ehr breath. She concentrates and a tressym appears on ehr shoulder.
She sends the tressym ahead to keep watch down the path ahead of them. She will give it instructions to stay within 100 feet, so they can keep in telepathic communication.
There are 17 of us, us and maybe 5 of the NPCs could contribute. 4 watches is enough for a long rest, so Don can take tonight off to heal, we can stand watches in pairs for extra eyes.
Gad can propose for tonight:
Tempest and the Prince (and Striker!)
Gadvelt and the Drow Gad's perception 13
Manju and Jimjar
Egret and Buppido

Galanodel Deacon Tosh - Less-than-Half-Elf Bard - & -Flitterbug - Pixie Sorceress : Meanwhile in the Westwoods Amadow 'Tug' Rioux - Human Psionic Palooka : Revenge Heist - - - Gofer Bayut - Bugbear Paladin Messenger : Shrouded Sky
Don yawns and begins setting up a space to sleep, favoring his bruised and battered side. "I am happy to take a watch, or to just sleep, if my eyes are not needed tonight. I am sorely injured from that fall and the sleep would do me good."
Tempest will sit back and close her eyes, looking through Striker's eyes as she keeps watch. This way they don't have to use a light source for the watch.
"Do you still do the trance of your people, or do you sleep in this form you have now?" She asks the Elven prince at one point during their watch.
Manju - On his watch Manju won't fully pay attention to his actual watch instead he will do his stretches and meditate while talking to Jimjar "So do you know of any celebrities? Or important performers from your city?"
Jimjar laughs. "Celebrities? Performers? I've got 5 gold says you've never met a deep gnome before. We're a humorless bunch. Just look at those two over yonder. Never a smile or a laugh, dour as can be. Closest thing we have to a celebrity is when somebody finds a particularly big ruby, but not even that fame lasts." Jimjar looks critically at Manju, "Not you though, I can see that. You're one to put on a show if ever such a one existed. Tell me about your life before you fell down this dank hole."
Derendil answers, a little angrily, No...I do not have much left of my old life. Only the language...and even that fades as I grow more bestial. Those cursed drow...I do not even know what kind of curse they layed upon me.

Manju - Glancing around at the people sleeping "Well I used to be part of a travelling circus, people loved me and it was great... for a while. It just wasn't enough you know people don't go to the circus night after night, you know? Oh... do you even know what a circus is? It's got animals, people flying through the air and woman with beards that aren't Dwarves." Taking a long breath and slowly exhaling "It's a little selfish but I just left, I needed more. I was on my way to Waterdeep to find something bigger when I ended up here. What about you?"
Jimjar snorts, a laughing sort of snort, "I've never seen nor heard of a circus, no. Though it sounds just the sort of frivolity deep gnomes would scorn, so I bet I'd like it. Perhaps when we've made it through all this you can take me to one. As for me..." Jimjar's face sours, melting into the sort of natural rocky frown the other two deep gnomes always seem to be wearing, "I'm a gambling man, me. I win some, I lose some, but I always pay my markers. Well, I owed someone who thought I should pay a little quicker, but I didn't have the coin, you see? Instead of doing the sensible thing and giving me a little time..." even in the dim light and with his rocky grey-brown skin you see Jimjar turning red. Spittle flying from his mouth as he spits "That Urdlen worshiping son of a kobold sold me to the spider lovers!"
Manju - Seeing the rage enter Jimjar "Well I mean you came out on top over that... That Urdlen worshiping son of a kobold by making it out of that prison. Just make sure you don't waste it, live life to the fullest and all that."Changing positions and continue to stretch "Everyone should see the circus, especially the kids. It really is something to behold, I'd be happy to bring you along one day... once we're out of here. Have you ever been up top?"
OOC: You'll also notice Manju is acting a lot more like a regular person and less look at me kind of deal.
Jimjar shakes his head, calming back down. "You're right. It was a bad bet he made, betting against me. I've plenty of life to yet, and I'll come to collect once we're back in Blingdenstone. No sense getting all worked up about it now. Maybe you and I could put on a show for him like he's never seen before, hey!" Jimjar winks at you, a smile creeping back onto his face, and says, "No, never been up top myself. Plenty to see still down here and I never had much occasion to go up. I'd love to go and see the sights though, bright as they may be, and the circus does sound a wonderful time. I wonder what it must feel like, all that sky pressing down on you..."
(before bedtime) 'Kay all y'all, ante up three rations. Gadvelt will defer if one of the gang has any skill, otherwise he'll do his best to turn rations more palatable First meal as free people again - it's worth noting, and worth remembering Zhor and Eldeth who gave all for us. To our heroes, and to liberation! He raises his waterskin and shares food all around
There is probably a lot of uncomfortable silence during our watch, but Gad will ask Sarith anyway What will you do? What have you lost through this? Unfairly accused is bad fortune, but what are you hoping for next?

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As the others set up camp, Egret will step aside a little ways, lay out one of the short swords he'd claimed, and start working it with one hand, the other clutching his holy amulet and whispering to himself. Over the course of an hour, the sword reshapes, and grows, and splits, and when the ritual is over, where once there was a sword, there are now two hunting traps which he will take over by Don's trip wire and anchor them to the pitons and try to place them where someone who tripped might fall on, obscuring with small rocks and dirt if possible. Channel Divinity: Artisan's Blessing
When he wakes from his slumber for his turn on watch, he'll mutter a quick prayer over his spear, Blessings of the Forge. On his watch, he'll keep his light up, but partially covered under his bedroll so as not to light too much of the area. Turning to Buppido, "I must admit, I'm not familiar with your culture, but I must ask, do you make traps or mechanisms of any kind? They're kind of a fascination of mine."
Sarith gives Gadvelt a humorless smile. Find somewhere to start over, I suppose. I've lost everything...unless I can prove my innocence, if I'm caught I will be sacrificed to Lolth. I'd rather that not happen. He lapses back into a brooding silence.
