Sarith looks at him for a long moment, but keeps his thoughts to himself.

You're able to get through the rest with nothing interesting happening. You all pack back up to travel. What will your pace be?

Don arises, looking much better for the rest and gathers up his makeshift alarm, being careful to avoid the traps Egret left. "Thank you all for letting me rest. I needed it, I dare say. Do we leave these traps to slow any pursuit, or keep them for our next rest?"

Tempest studies her spell book as everyone is getting ready to head out.  She casts mage armor on herself.

"I think we should work at putting distance between us and the drow."  Tempest will say as the question of pace comes up.

"Best keep moving."  Buppito agrees with a nod of agreement.  "Glad I am that nothing happened last night... Let's get up and going before dem drow catch up with us..."  He will again take the lead as the group heads out.

We have one more day at this pace, counting rations, before we have to slow and forage. So quick today means slower tomorrow - but still best to get as clear as possible as soon as possible if we can. The loss of our brother ranger weighs heavy on us, doesn't it? Gadvelt joins the Buppito in the lead

Ront can march quick - you want slow, darkelfs happy to feed you, heh.

Jimjar says, "Yes, fast is the best bet. Lets get as much space between them and us as we can."

Finishing packing his things, "At least Egret can keep us from dying of dehydration. I am thankful for that. So double time again today, then a more manageable pace after that, when we have to look for food. Say, what is there to eat down here, anyway?"

Egret will gather his belongings, and utilize his Blessing of the Forge on his armor, but leave the traps, "Even if they find them, it should slow them down as they look for more. I will watch the rear, would anyone care to join me? Better not to have the rearguard travel alone, too easy to get picked off."

You start out again, walking quickly, not stopping for anything. Hours pass as you wander the dark tunnels, and to those of you unfamiliar with the underdark, one tunnel looks no different from the other. Occasional periods of dim light almost seems blinding in the utter darkness. However, the times passes uneventfully. Finally, you can't go on any more and you find another cavern to collapse in, panting and exhausted.

Tempest will again take first watch with the elven prince.

Don re-sets his belled trip wire in the tunnel behind them. "I'll take second watch, Shuushar, will you watch with me?"

Shuushar nods stoically.

Egret will create water to refill everything again, then repeat his trick with another shortsword and the traps (how many swords did he manage to grab again?). He will also volunteer for last watch.

Perception 9

Gadvelt will share around some food (not all of us have enough so I'm removing 5 today, 3 yesterday to feed the 14 of us) and volunteer for the midwatch. He'll get Ront to join him so they can brood in silence together, unless Sarith has some desire to talk. I guess Manju gets tonight off - maybe you can provide some entertainment

Tempest, Derendil, Don, and Shuushar don't see anything on their watches.

During their watch, Don chats with Shuushar, "Your vow of non-violence, can you tell me more about it? I'm very interested in how you came to it, on your beliefs. Is non-violence standard for Sloobludop, or is your vow as rare among your people as it would be among mine? What else can you tell me about Sloobludop and the Kua-toa that live there?"

(Just stringing questions together to avoid a million posts, we can pretend this is more conversational)

Shuushar has been sitting calmly, exuding an aura of peace and enlightened balance. He looks over at Don, though his expression is hard to read on his fish-like face. No...no, I would say it is quite rare among my people. We have a reputation as...well, a reputation of being quite mad, really. And that reputation is well deserved. I decided to take it upon myself to try and change that perception. I have spent a lifetime in contemplation and solitary meditation in an attempt to overcome that legacy. I believe I have found that balance, and I wish to take it back to my people.

Somewhere into the third watch Ront starts to grunt, then catches himself and thinks instead, pointing down a passage opposite Voices there, sound like coming He takes a defensive stance with javelin and shield

Gadvelt tries to spread the alarm silently (does this telepathy work to wake folks up?) and looks to see the location of the passage - if it is far he'll aim his shorbow, otherwise shovel and shield Everyone up, voices coming!

(Yes, telepathy will wake everyone up)

Sarith jumps up in a defensive stance, pulling a shortsword from under the pack he's been laying his head on. Derendil raises up to his full height, looking ready to pounce. Stool hides behind Egret, and Shuushar raises up into a sitting position, but does nothing else.
