Jimjar says to the group, in common, "They are most interested in the poison some of us were able to take from the drow armory. They have 6 rations to spare, and will trade them for three vials of poison. Expensive, but we need the food. I have one vial to give, I bet someone else grabbed some too."

"If it will make you shut up..." Tempest grumbles as she fetches two out of her pack.  (Not sure how many she managed to grab...)

Don offers a vial as well, handing it to Jimjar. "And this makes three. I shared my last two rations last night, with these six more how many do we have total? I think this may buy us one more day of haste."

Jimjar takes one vial of poison from Tempest and Don and offers the three of them to the gnomes.

In gnomish,

The gnomes take the poison and hand over a sack full of food. They wave to Jimjar as they head off down the path.

Jimjar hands the sack of food over to Gadvelt, "Here ya go, chef. Now, what do you say we all get back to sleep? Who's watch is it?"

Ours, still, Gad answers Jimjar, indicating himself and Ront Egret and Sarith come on in another hour. Thank you for the trading help, glad it wasn't some threat

Belongings are packed, and rations are eaten, and you are ready for another day of traveling.

After the gnomes have left...

"Did anyone think to warn the gnomes about the traps?"  Buppito will ask as everyone is preparing to lay back down for more rest.  "I mean the traps we set on our back-trail last night..."

"Those rations should get us through today at full speed. Tomorrow we're going to have to start taking our time." Don shoulders his pack, ready to set out. "Anchors aweigh!"

Gadvelt will once again join Buppido at the front. We were about eight days from the lake when we started - moving this fast, are we less than six away now? 

"Truly wish you guys would reconsider going to my home."   Buppito will tell Gadvelt as they rush along the tunnels, leading the way forward.  "Be sure nice to see me family again...  The little ones are sure to be worried about their da"

Shuushar speaks up: Yes, less than that now. We should hit the edge of the lake in a couple of days; from there, it will only be a few more to get to Sloobludop.

Tempest spends some time looking over her spell book as the group gets ready to head out once more.  "Not sure how much longer I can keep up this pace." She informs everyone in a grumble as she eventually hoists on her pack and starts out again.

Even with the rest, you're starting to feel the strain of moving at such a fast pace. The difficult terrain and alien surroundings make the trip even more arduous. And then, Gadvelt and Buppido are forced to slide to a stop. The tunnel you were traveling through opens up abruptly into an impossibly large cavern, and the ground drops off farther than you can see. Violet luminescent fungi give off enough light for you to see a narrow ledge about 18 inches wide jutting out from the wall about 60 feet away. The ledge seems like it follows the wall all the way around the cavern.

Manju - Looking to the vast cavern "Manju can make his way across that... but maybe tying a rope to me just in case isn't a bad idea?"

Don peers out at the ledge. "That is a long way, even with ropes." He rummages through his pack, pulling out a hammer and a sack containing 10 pitons. "Does anyone else have any pitons? If Manju can hammer these in along the way it should make the journey much more manageable. Egret, can you do that fancy trick with a short-sword to make more pitons?"

Topsy walks over to inspect the ledge. Hey, this might be easier over here...not much, but going single file we could probably work our way around the ledge? She glances over at Turvy, who's looking darkly at the ledge and muttering under his breath.

Manju - Will shuffle slightly over to Turvy trying to catch wind of what he's muttering.
