Rigel is just about to move into the second phase of his plan when rhe djinn appears on stage. His path to Malachi blocked he shrinks back a bit to see what happens next. Ready to move at a moments notice.
As fired up as even Marcon then was to get the show on the road, seeing what became of Ronk's new magical trinket had even given the ex-farmhand pause. And for just a moment, there was even a touch of second hand guilt at the mention of 'prison-keeper'. Knowing however that far more important business at hand, he'd use the general confusion to get up closer to the stage. And then, once the genie hopefully followed through with keeping the headless body distracted, the very much tired of everything human would try climb up and knocking down a certain brain under the cover of fog.
"Lord Ronk..." the djinni's voice boomed, "I am Olrai the Illustrious...and I am...honored...to be your faithful servant..." (OOC: @Ronk - need a Wisdom (Insight) check from you please.)
"I shall defend you against this...headless one..." she says and a second later, her blades fly into action against the dullahan
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ronk notices that Olrai clearly didn't mean it when she said she was "honored" to be his humble servant, even noticing a tinge of disgust in the djinni's voice upon speaking the word, as if she was somehow being compelled to do so.
Distracted by the new threat, one clearly his equal (if not his better) the dullahan failed to notice Marcon approaching Malachai's container. The farmhand gave the heavy glass cylindar a hard shove, reminiscent of tipping over a sleeping cow, and it sure enough toppled over, spilling fluid all over the floor and eliciting a frightened scream from the sentient brain contained within.
At Ronk's direction, the djinni springs into action, her blades whirling about her in an impressive display of spins and flashes. With no weapon to guard himself, the dullahan's only hope was to avoid the flurry of bladestrikes coming at him:
OLRAI THE ILLUSTRIOUS: Multi-attack #1 (Scimitar): 21 vs. AC 16 (Dullahan); dealing 11 slashing damage and 1 lightning damage. Multi-attack #2 (Scimitar): 17 vs. AC 16 (Dullahan); dealing 8 slashing damage and 5 lightning damage. Multi-attack #3 (Scimitar): 29 vs. AC 16 (Dullahan); dealing 21 slashing damage and 9 lightning damage.
Ronk stabs out at the Dullahan with his spear, then back it up with a pair of kicks, before backing away about 25 feet, trying to draw the dullahan away.
Spear attack: 10 for 10 Piercing
1 ki point for Flurry of Blows
Unarmed Strike 1: 19 for 8
Unarmed Strike 2: 12 for 4
(Drunken Technique grants the benefits of the Disengage action with Flurry of Blows)
Ronk's spear thrust and first kick fail to connect, but his follow up catches the dullahan square in the chest, doing a small amount of damage as the bugbear monk executes a tactical retreat to a safer distance from the hulking behemoth.
Malachai was down but not yet out and hurriedly blurts out the incantation of an attack spell, catching everyone except Rigel in a cone of psionic energy.
(OOC: due to his weakened state, all those caught in the blast will make their saving throws with ADV.)
MALACHAI Action (Mind Blast): The brain magically emits psychic energy in a 60-foot cone. Each creature in that area must succeed on a DC 14 Intelligence saving throw (with ADV) or take 19 psychic damage and be stunned for 1 minute. A stunned creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on itself on a success.
What Vanzaren's blade strike lacked in damage, it made up for in effectiveness: the elven artifact cleanly divided the brain of the former wizard Malachai in two, releasing a brief flash of blinding light. When his sight returned, Vanzanren and the other saw the severed head floating towrds the doorway of the large tent. The dullahan walked over and pried loose its massive battleaxe from the floorboards of the stage and calmly followed the head through the tent flap, paying no mind to any of the others in the room.
Harlan resumed his natural form and quickly reached for a wand stashed in an inner pocket of his vest. He waved the foucs in the air as he recited a few words, and healing energy surged through Ronk, Garet and Marcon, pulling them back from death's cold grasp.
Rigel runs to Marcon. As he grabs the Barbarian and starts to help haul the man to his feet he says, "We best not stick around. When those two get where they're going everyone is going to know something up. We need to get to Isolde fast before people come to investigate why the dullahan is away from its post."
If/When Marcon cames to, he cringes and instinctively wards anyone trying to grab him away. But, his efforts are halfhazard at best. Rigel would still have his work cut out for him however, as the ex-farmhand is nothing but dead weight in the half-elf's grip. So unless the ranger is willing to put in the extra effort(with or without help), on the ground Marcon remained, gripping his head and looking about in confusion."Iso-.... Isolde? Who's Isolde? And... where.... where are we?"

"That boy looks like a bag of smashed arse-holes," Harlan retorts as he reached into another pocket and produced a second wand, cobalt blue with a silver filigree along its side. Waving it in the air, Harlan recites an incantation and a blue light began to glow at the end of the wand before shooting into Marcon:
Ronk groans and eases himself back to his feet. He looks around and frowns in disappointment. "Aww, that djinni didn't stay long..." He pats the ring on his hand. "Maybe tomorrow."
