The tracks lead across the hallway running east-to-west and continue along the rough hewn passage the continues to the northwest. They follow the tracks until they come to an abrupt stop about 30 feet down the passage at another intersection.
Once it becomes clear the path had been lost Marcon sighed and muttered, "That figures." Yet despite such disheartening news, he's quick to bounce and says, "Well fellas. The way I see it is that we keep goin' that way--" He gestures for the northern most one tunnel(north/top). "At least till we hit a dead end, seeing as fancy shoes been pretty adamant 'bout head'n that way so far. Ain't like we can't double back if need be." He suggest, and if the others are in agreement, he continues forward and takes point.

This area consists of numerous intersecting passages. The ceilings here are only six feet high, and several of the passages end in partially excavated rock faces. The party continues in the direction indicated by Marcon until they reach another large cavern. A still pool fills much of this cavern. The water is dark, revealing little of what might lie within. The shore of the pool consists of a thin layer of broken shells from strange, pale mussels, and a fishy odor hangs in the air.
Garet notices the tell-tale glow of magic illuminating from an item in the hand of a skeleton about ten from the shore of the small pool. The skeleton lies at the bottom of about ten feet of water.
"Kinda with Ronk on this one. I've seen more weird stuff and magical malarkey over the past couple of weeks now than I've had over... well, most of my life. And it's been pretty out there stuff. So at this point, I'm try'na not think 'bout the limits of it all, so much as... not think 'bout it too hard at all." Marcon admits.

Lost in his tracking attempts Rigel only barely hears the conversation going on about him. He follows Marcon along scanning in all directions for a reason the tracks stopped so abruptly. In a distracted tone he adds his own thoughts in reply to Vans questions.
"The tent turning into a cave doesn't surprise me that much really. It was a magical tent after all. Isolde abilities are strong enough to transport a whole circus, seems plausible she could transport the five of us away and out of her hair. My questions are why here to this particular point? We were always going to come looking for Gundren and his brothers anyway." As he continues his hunt for clues he rambles on in response to his own question. "Why help us if not to occupy our time elsewhere. A sudden thought strikes Rigel causing him to snap to attention almost as if he had been shocked. "What if Isolde is after the magicical contents of wave echo cave and sent us here to do her dirty work?
Perception or investigation roll for checking the cavern as they move along. bonus is the same. 17
"You really have no idea what you're saying Rigel," Van says dismissivly. "For one, Isolde doesn't just 'let people go' and two, she's not interested in what's down here. She's only interested i her own twisted form of justice."

Marcon side-eyed Vanzaren briefly, but only sighs rather than argue. In fact in a bit of a hurry to escape the situation, he sets aside his torch somewhere nearby that he hoped was dry enough, before moving to wade/swim his way over to skeleton, calling back over his shoulders, "Don't worry fellas, I got it."And unless anyone moves to stop or advise against the spur of the moment action, he'd be well on his way.
Assuming nothing bad or dangerous happens on route, Marcon lingers underwater for a moment to at least study the bones a bit closer in hopes of discerning more of what it might've belonged to. Then, he closes his eyes, offering in thought what he hoped was an appropriate prayer to the dead, then examine the remains closer still for anything that might scream magic.
MArcon spots two platinum rings on the hands of the skeleton in addition to the wand it is holding loosely. RIgel gains no additional information from his inspection of the surrounding area.
Marcon sticks with retrieving just the wand, figuring if the rings are truly magical, Garet could just send him back for them. So hopefully with the wand in two, the ex-farmhand makes a quick retreat after again bowing his head once to the skeleton. "Looky here, fellas. I got a wand. One of ya'll wanna hold it or whatever, or should I return? Don't know what it does, obviously. But, maybe it aughta help with tracking down 'ol boys killer?"

While everyone watches Marcon retrieve the wand Rigel makes his way over to the stairs. He heads up the stairs about 15ft. (Or the top whichever comes first.)
Garet fallows the group trying to not interfere ranger actions

"Is anyone else concerned about why a tent turned into a cave?" Van asks. "A cave with a dead dwarf I might add."

Not having a good argument either way, Rigel simply shrugs in response and looks at the skeleton.

Ronk reaches out to take the wand from Marcon. "Oh right, I don't know how to use these..." He hands the wand off to Garet or Van.

He will move around trying to discover any other sources of magic
