Wulcrath eyes widen in fear and confusion as he watches Daffafle stagger out of the building. Quickly stashing the cloaks in his backpack, he runs over to her, confusion and worry apparent in his features as does his best to help her walk.
"What in th- Daffafle... Are you alright?" "Will you able to walk?" Sh-... Should I carry you?"
Questions, more questions. Once again his mind races, Wulcrath does his best to push them down and stay focused.
He slowly makes his way with Daffafle back to the Meetup spot...
The rain doesn't quite lighten as you all meet at the town gates, spiked and wooden with posts for guards to keep watch.
Aazel, Bartand Khazanare on the outside, just off the path so they're not in the way with their new wagon and two donkeys. ((which you're more than welcome to name!))
The gates open to Wulcrath, a large sack stuffed with all sorts of goods, helping a weakened Daffaflekeep her steps in the wet path...
To Bart, Daffaflelooks as if she hasn't eaten anything substantial in a few days, or slept for many more - despite remembering her being present in the inn this morning. The half-elf is quick to remember the incident in temple underneath Melyne's house... Vast amounts of The Raven Queen's power being physically taxing on her body.
"I...I'll explain everything," Daffafle mumbles, leaning heavily on the nearest person, her eyelids heavy as she slowly blinks. "Once we're on the road...the sooner we...we get out of here, the better."
Wulcrath looks down at Daffafle and shakes his head, frowning as he studies her.
"I think you should be worrying about getting some rest before anything else Daff..."
Sighing with worry, Wulcrath turns to Khazan and Bart, taking the sack of purchased supplies off his back and holding it in his hands.
"Here's everything we bought, 2 tents... Food for a week or so..." Wulcrath walks over to the Wagon and places the sack inside before turning back to everyone.
"These..." Wulcrath takes the cloaks out his backpack, giving the 3 their respective ones.
Khazan ,sitting in the driver's seat, takes the cloak from Wulcrath's hands and wears it "Feels a little tight .. " he mutters to himself "..Well anyway, hop on! We'll be outta here in no time, thank tae Khazan Jr and Better Bart. Daffafle, go in tae back ye'll be able tae lie down fer a bit there."
Following Khaz’s recommendation, Daffafle scrambled to hoist herself into the cart, collapsing on the wood. Lucky squawks as he must take flight to avoid tumbling as well, then sets down on the side of the wagon.
With Aazelalso climbing the in the back, the wagon begins to move steadily. The rain beats on, but that doesn't stop the road being quite busy with both travellers and merchants. While some are friendly, with a greeting or a wave, most are quite guarded, focused where they need to be.
To the north, are the wave plans dotted with the odd house and farmstead with the tumbling rise of the shimmering green Silver Hills, visible despite the puffy clouds. To the south, the sharp, threatening and aptly named Southfang Mountains pierce the grasslands said to house many horrors if story to be true; from crazed flocks of gryphons, raging hordes of ogre, chasms into the fiery hells and the home of a ferocious dragon. What can be certain, as you look, are large bird of prey circling its slops before disappearing into low heavy cloud...
Perception check (with Khazan helping): Bart- 23
Bartdoesn't catch anything suspicious or malicious towards them... But he does notice something quite horrific; a pack of six wolves over the hedge advancing onto shepherd and his flock completely unawares...
Bart hops up onto the seat of the cart, shortbow in hand. “Fellas, someone needs help of the bloody sort, come on!” He’s running, dashing and ready to fire as soon as he has a clear shot.
Wulcrath nearly falls over out of the Cart as he hears Bart yell, resting a hand on his Sword's Scabbard and hopping out of the Cart, following after Bart, turning back to the Aazel and Khazan as he sprints after the Rougue.
"One of you! Please Stay there and watch the Cart! I'll get after Bart!"
He quickly turns away, leaning into his run to try and keep up with the Half-Elf.
Between Bart and Wulcrath’s yelling, and Lucky’s excited pecks, Daffafle awakes with a start. Her head spins as she sits up, squinting as she tries to find the source of the commotion, knowing she’s in no state to aid in combat. “Help them,” she raps to Lucky. With a caw, the raven takes flight, following Bart and Wulcrath to aid in the fight.
"Ya can't just run off everytime ya see someone in danger! .. All-father give me patience ... Aazel, stay here an' watch over Daffafle an' the wagon. I'll go make sure they're not eaten by those pups."
Khazan jumps off his seats and runs after the half-elf and the dragonborn, toward the shepperd and the wolves.
