Initiative rolls:
Asmodean 12
Swift 15
Initiative Order:
Naivara - Night Hawke - Redbrands - Swift - Asmodean - Stig - Brandywise - Virran
(As the sword's been swung, we're in battle. NH and Sw, your move this around has been taken with... movement. So after Naivara, Redbrands will take their well-earned retaliation for defeating the Cavern Yoda. We'll see what happens with Asmodean when his turn occurs.)

Naivara knows the current threat on Brandywise. She feels the best option is to take out the Redbrand that has directly attacked him already. Hopefully taking one out of the mix will help the situation a little.
Without hesitation, she stashes the longsword for now, raises her eyes to the sky, lifts her arms toward the Redbrand and says “Guiding Bolt”. She pictures Aerdrie strongly in her mind and channels her strength.
Attack: 14 Damage: 14
Naivara then squashes in and stands directly in the doorway with Brandywise. She is hopeful she will be a distraction for the Redbrands now and her teammate won’t take the full hit.
(OOC)... So that makes the initiative order... Naivara, Night hawk, redbrands, swift, Asmodean, Stig, Brandywise, Virran
From the last map, posted, I believe that Asmodean, night hawk and swift are still arriving at the scene... so you guys are on your own for at least one round... maybe two. I’d have to look at the map to see how far away I think we are. Of course... DM has final say about how far we are after the next move.
The eyes of Brandywise's opponent go wide as he notices the female, right begin Brandywise, raise her hand in his direction. A blinding light races forward and envelops the man, causing significant pain. The man crumples to the ground - by the time the light dissipates, the man is dead.
Seeing this, Fierce steps up to Brandywise again, carefully placing his feet over the fallen human. This time he is prepared with his two swords. "The rats have some teeth. Might add those to me own collection." Attack: 16 Damage: 7
Attack: 8 Damage: 3
Prepared this time, Brandywise parries one blow with his shield and flicks the other careless away with his own weapon. Fierce grunts, then disengages as he steps to the side to make room for the third Redbrand to attack.
Backa, the third ruffian, also steps forward and makes a lunge with two stabs:
Attack: 7 Damage: 5
Attack: 12 Damage: 6
The pair have obviously battled closely together and have a mutual undertstanding, as Backa's attack hits with critical finesse at the previous wound, which is closely followed by his second lunge. Brandywise takes 14 points of damage. The fighter, unable to parry the second onslaught, falls to the ground and begins bleeding to death.
Naivara - Night Hawke - Redbrands - Swift - Asmodean - Stig - Brandywise - Virran

Seeing his friend collapse to the floor, Stig runs forward directly at Backa. As he steps over Brwb he touches him saying, "Settle", casting the cantrip Spare the Dying (at will). Continuing past Brwb, Stig reaches out to touch Backa, growling "Die" casting Inflict Wounds, as he tries to push past the Redbrand into the room behind.
Virran turns from looking at the crates due to the noises of battle. Seeing brwb fall and stig move forward virran quickly darts forward reading his daggers. He makes two stabs past stig then backs up towards the stairs. If there is anything that can obscure the enemies view of him he wee try go behind that and use a bonus action to hide.
Attack: 9 Damage: 7
Attack: 9 Damage: 4
First attack to hit gets sneak attack automatically 2
(OOC - Although Spare the Dying is at will, it is still classified as an action - it just doesn't use a spell slot and so is basically infinite. As your roll for Inflict Wounds didn't pay off, I'll run with the healing of Brandywise and an attempt to move, leaving that spell slot still available.
Stig moves forward, his chainmail chinking as he bends down to heal his companion fighting for this life. At the word Settle, Brandywise's breathing eases and his body relaxes. While still unconscious, he is not longer in any immediate danger... so long as his companions can hold off the two Redbrands: Fierce and Backa.
Standing again, Stig moves to step over the two bodies - Brandywise and the dead Redbrand - in an attempt to force Backa back-a-into the room.
(OOC - Stig, roll an Acrobatics Check to try and stay sure-footed as you step over the two bodies and move toward a well-placed killer bad-guy - higher than 15 (medium difficulty) will do it).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Acrobatics: 2
(OOC: It was more an attempt to get in behind him, shove past him, as opposed to pushing him back into the room. The idea is to have them fighting on two fronts, as it were.)
Stig gracefully steps between the fallen fighters and uses the momentum to jostle between Backa and Fierce.
The timing, however, is slightly off. As Stig moves to take the fight on a secondary front, Virran dashes around the cistern. The orc moves with determination, making it to the place where Brandywise lies, unconscious. Although his determination is great, his reach is not. Now shoulder to shoulder with Naivara near the doorway, Stig's vault caused the Redbrand to now stand several feet out of Virran's dagger reach. The orc now guards the door, having used all his energy to make it thus far.
Naivara - Night Hawke - Redbrands - Swift - Asmodean - Stig - Brandywise - Virran
Virran turns from looking at the crates due to the noises of battle. Seeing brwb fall and stig move forward virran quickly darts forward reading his daggers. Considering his options, Virran then moves forward to stabs Backa to death (including violently through chest just to make sure he is, in fact, completely dead). Satisfied, he then moves back. Try as he might, his ability to hide effectively behind the female elf is somewhat challenging, however Fierce knows he is out there.
Naivara - Night Hawke - Redbrands - Swift - Asmodean - Stig - Brandywise - Virran
OOC: The cistern is sunken into the ground, with sides that block a clear view of Brandywise prone on the ground. I'm sure options exist for you to remedy this, however you cannot simply 'gaze across' and see him for sight-based actions. Movement and/or alternative thinking will be anticipated. Naivara, you're up.
Following the sounds of battle, Night Hawke darts into the room and sees the cistern next to her. Noticing that Naivara has clearly taken care of her enemy (OOC, I double checked I’m almost 6 feet so can see over there), she climbs the sides of the cistern to get a better look at the battle.
[OOC 1. How wide is the lip of the cistern? Based on the map it’s wide enough to stand upon. 2. How deep is the cistern? 3. What can I see from here, with the added height (now 8.9ft) does the angle offer me more visibility, specifically of anyone prone on the ground? 4. Do I have more moves this turn, or is it all moved up by movement? A bonus action I have is healing word if all my turn is used up by movement, but I want to know before I roll anything.]
Note, turn not over until I get clarification from DM.
(OOC - Welcome back! I'm not out of work-mode yet, but getting closer!
Naivara uses her shiny new longsword as she moves in and attacks Fierce. Two hands gripping the handle, she cuts an arc across his body that sends him stumbling backwards, a nasty gash left in its wake. Growling, he gathers his feet as Naivara moves to the side.
(OOC @ Night Hawke: which enemy did Naivara take care of? Fierce, is that's who, is in another room!
The rim of the cistern allows the possibility of standing, although one would need to be nimble to do much else. From the height granted by standing on the rim, Night Hawke has a clear view of almost everything, except something directly against the far wall of the cistern and below eye-height. Brandywise, fallen and breathing shallowly, is visible. The cistern is 8 feet deep; full of clear, cool water.
(Movement - not much movement left, I believe... without checking... but an action is still possible. I'll take mine, in the meantime)
Naivara - Night Hawke - Redbrands - Swift - Asmodean - Stig - Brandywise - Virran
Fierce, not yet overly worried, turns his growl into a mirthless chuckle. "You rats should really not make so much noise. There be beasties that'll do you for." Not waiting for a response, he pivots and swings for Naivara.
Attack: 20 Damage: 3
Attack: 22 Damage: 5
Both attacks land, leaving two wounds open in the gaps of Naivara's armour. Naivara takes 8 points of damage.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seift moves into the room with the cistern. She stops 5ft short of the steps on the southern wall, turns and move a further 5 ft towards the north, into the room. From here she has what looks like a clear view of the room. She readies her bow and knocks an arrow - watching and listening for sounds other than those of the battle that is happening on the other side of the room. She here's the echo of someone's voice calling out the potential threat of other assailants because of the battle's noise.
Perhaps the threat is just to out those in battle off, but Swift's level of alert now increases.

I notice I'm not in that list so let's see where Stig features in this...

Actually I noticed I rolled initiative already on the previous page so that makes this one void I suppose.
Previous roll was a 9.
