”Lady Tarina, I presume? I am Gerrard, and my compatriots and I are pleased to make your acquaintance. A mutual friend sent us to make some...discreet inquiries into the unpleasant goings-on in the city streets,” Gerrard opens, being careful not to drop too many names where there were so many curious ears. “Perhaps a more private venue where we can discuss matters of both business and leisure would be amenable?” he concludes, gesturing in turn to the flaming fist emblazoned on the back of his glove and the pouch of Baldur’s Bones gaming supplies she carries.

Quietly asking, "A few coins for info? Could turn into a small favor, if it's quality. You up for it or is there someone else inside I should ask?"
The Halfling smoking from his pipe his rotund even for his race but you know him has Kori and he deals in black market herbs and spices for the guild.
He smiles has he recognizes you.
" I m always ready to help... For a coin or two. " he says shuckling
Kutosha gives him an amused side grin and slips him a few coins, as she leans in to air kiss his rosey cheeks. "Well meet, Kori. Hope your day is going better than most out here."
Going on while giving him more consideration, "Now that I think of it, I have two pieces of business for you. First, I'm in the market for a delicate pepper powder that can add flavor to any food and yet tickle the most stuffy nose when airborne. Do you have anything like that in your arsenal, and if so, will it break the bank?"
She gives him a shrewd smile and continues more discreetly, "Second, what can you tell me about Tarina? I, along with a few others, have been sent to meet with her here, but I've never heard of her. I've only been told that she has some 'powerful' friends. Perhaps, we have these friends in common? Anything you can share would be most appreciated."

Sir Qelroth keeps silent as Gerrard is seems to be doing a good job. He keeps his eyes open for anything amiss and tries to keep the smell of evil from interfering with his attention. This whole city seems to wreak of it. He was disappointed to have just missed the ghost song, maybe it will happen again while they are still here.

He shakes his head to clear the fog and looks around the room again
Tarina certainly didn't look the part of the shady informant with dangerous friends they were promised by Captain Zodge. On the contrary, she had a rather appealing appearance, despite the stern face she was giving them. Alkaios gave her a polite nod as part of the introductions and was sure to mention his intrest in a game of Baldur's Bones after their buisness dealings concluded. Hopefully, this lady could give them the information they needed to move against the cult of the Dead Three.
No wise person walks the streets of Baldur’s Gate or enters one of its taverns without a weapon or an armed escort. Anyone who has lived in the city for more than a tenday knows this from experience. Taverns might appear safe at a glance, but they are among the most dangerous places in Baldur’s Gate — full of alcohol, tempting coin, and unscrupulous people. Volothamp Geddarm, a notorious raconteur known for his tavern reviews, encapsulates his Baldur’s Gate experience as “hard on the stomach, especially when someone sticks a knife in there.” Customers are expected to look after themselves when fights break out, and one shouldn’t expect any help or sympathy from the Flaming Fist. Tavern murders are common, and usually end with the poor victim being dragged away and either left in an alley (to be picked clean by urchins, then eaten by rats) or tossed in the harbor.
Baldur’s Bones. Baldur’s Bones is a popular dice game in the taverns of Baldur’s Gate. Each player requires several six-sided dice. The rules are as follows:
Each player puts the agreed ante in the pot.
Each player rolls three dice. Play then proceeds clockwise around the table, with the host of the game going last.
On their turn, a player can choose to “stand” or “roll.” If the player stands, the next player can take a turn. A player who rolls takes an additional die and rolls it. If the total of their dice exceeds 21, they “bust” and are out of the game. Otherwise they can keep rolling additional dice until they either stand or break.
After everyone has had a turn, the highest point total (excluding players who busted) wins the game and takes the pot.
Kori can have the powder ready in a day, but it will cost you.
On Tarina:
Kori looks embarrassed and takes his time spilling the beans.
"This girl has been the center of attention of a lot of people. A group of pirates have been asking a lot of questions about her. The Guild made good money telling them about her. Better watch yourself around her."

“There is no need for concern, Lady Tarina,” says Gerrard, “We are just looking for some information and a mutual friend said you are the best, though I would prefer not to discuss our business in the middle of a tavern—perhaps we retire to the gaming room and discuss it there?” he concludes.

Alkaios leaned towards Tarina. She was definitely quite agitated, so he wanted to make sure that there was no possible way somebody could hear in on them. "Well, I can't speak for my companions, but I myself am always up for a game. A game and a little conversation about our friend Captain Zodge and how you could help us to find a few ne'er-do-wells.", Alkaios spoke as calm and quietly as he could manage, trying to reassure her that they meant no harm.
" I would like to watch how you play the game, I avoid gambling myself but enjoy watching others toss their coin away. I am sure the Lady Tarina is very skilled at relieving people of their gold." Qelroth chuckles to ensure everyone he is joking around. Something not always obvious when he try's to be funny. He is a little antsy and Hope's they can get on with the revelry and information gathering.
Kutosha is pleased about the powder and the info he's provided.

Seeing his hesitation, "Are you sure there isn't more you can offer about her or the intentions of the pirates? I feel a bit of reluctance...don't want you to step over any big lines, obviously."

"I'll watch." Eleonora says, not particularly inclined to play. Gambling had never been her thing, and it still isn't.
In her, admittedly little experience, it often involved trickery and cheating, and was otherwise a game of chance. None of those things appeal to her. She will keep an eye on Tarina during play, looking for any signs of said trickery or cheating.
"All will become equal now" | "Cause we're going to shout it loud, even if our words seem meaningless. It's like we're carrying the weight of the world"
Kori waves you away. "She is trouble and she knows about the more nasty part of the city. But she comes from that part so you can never trust her. If she doesn't get something from it you can be sure she is lying."
He stops and looks you in the eye. " Becareful."
(I 'll put the game in spoilers since it ll be in the background.)
Tarina is nervous and she keeps looking at the door. It feels like she knows that trouble is looking for her.
She looks at the group and puts a gold piece in the middle of the table. " Anyone who wants to play must pay a gold coin. To be totally truthful a good game will help me unwind. A few people from my former life have been asking questions about me and are threatening to kill me."
Players will have to roll 3d6 each and add them. Tarina will go last.

"Ok! Let's get this game under way!", Alkaios said. He casually threw the ante of one gold piece in the middle of the table and grabbed the dice. He gave them a little shake and then let them loose. "Sorry to hear that you got troubles of your own. But I still hope you provide us with the information we need. Captain Zodge told us that you are well informed after all.", Alkaios made an effort to convey that they had important business to take care of and hoped that the mention of the Captain would move things along swiftly.

Upon hearing of the threat to Tarina's life , Sir Qelroth perks up. One of the main tenets of Chivalry is the aid to damsels in distress...Not that he thinks she would appreciate that moniker. He speaks up and says " you can be assured that we will protect you from these past acquaintances should they arrive while we are here. Hopefully you can provide the information we seek so that all of Baldur's Gate can enjoy the same protection. Who are you expecting to be murdered by? " He asks rather more bluntly than he had Intended. It always sounds better in his mind then what comes out of his mouth.

Overhearing the question as she walks up to the group (wherever they are found), Kutosha softly says to Tarina with bow at the level of her station, "I have a notion the threat comes from the sea and our mutual friends have not chosen your side on this venture. Captain Zorge is an ally, though. Help us with the information I'm sure they have requested and we will get word to him you are need of a favor."

She does not look away from Tarina when finished to emphasize her point and to better gauge her reaction.
