The Exploits of Misfit Company

"Yes, of course. But first we should return the horses to the city. It would be rather rude if we stole them." You all very quickly return to the city to return the winged horses, before Vastra pulls out the tuning fork and taps it again. All of you once again experience the sensation of rapidly shot throughout the planes and then suddenly stopping inside a dark room. Those of you with darkvision (which I believe is everyone except Stella) are able to see that this is Dio's store, but it is currently closed, and peering outside the window reveals to you that it is currently nighttime on the material plane.

If ever there's a moment during the return to do so, one last sweet, mental goodbye is sent the princess' way prior to the poof'ning. And once the group returns Drift is almos immediately replaced by a worried looking Barnabus. "Just don't think 'bout it barney. It's gonna be okay." He mumbles to himself, and stopping long enough from pulling at his hair to actually survey the area. "... Well this is kinda awkward. In the interest of not accidentally setting off any alarms or traps Mr. Dio probably has, can one of ya spell weavers try sending him? Or should we just call out and hope he's sleeps in the backroom or somethin?" Barnabus asked the others.

Stella is just very still so she doesn't accidentally knock anything over.

Obsidian, meanwhile, immediately begins jumping up on tables and shelves curiously.

As Obsidian bounces around the room, he lands on a table and runes begin glowing. Suddenly, a cube of energy appears around all of you, sealing you all in it. "Too late for that." Vastra snarks.

Stella sighs. "Obsidian."

Obsidian meows and gives her an annoyed look like "What? It's not my fault the silly human had the runes up."

Kasha laughs. 

Alys' stomach grumbles and gurgles. She'll lean into Kasha, "Peanuts?"

"Why, of courrrrrrse." she says happily, trilling the "r" comically. "Please." she says, opening the bag and offering Alys some. And, of course, anyone else who wants some.

"Yus!" Alys will help herself to a handful and plant a kiss on Kasha's cheek before she plops herself down on the ground to eat her snack while she waits. "Why don't we just shout?" She'll look up at Kasha and bob her eyebrows like the druid usually does.

Vastra also accepts some peanuts from Kasha. About 10 minutes later, the door flies open and in walks Dio, carrying a staff of some sort, looking ready for action, until he looks inside the forcecage. "Oh it's you. I was beginning to assume that you had died in the Plane of Air. I assume that you were successful in your task?"

"Aw shucks. Looks like we might be spend'n the night here then." Barnabus said while trying to give the runes a once over, if only for piece of mind. "Hope folk can get comfy." He adds as he tried to curl up in a corner.

(Weellll shiiii-... Let me just edit that.)

Barnabus, who(m?) had taken to curling up in an uncomfortable corner for what would've been a night of painful sleep, perks almost immediately on the spot! "Mr. Dio! Howdy! Sorry for the rude awakening there. We ain't mean no harm. Obsidian here decided it'd be funny to go prancing 'bout." He gives the cat the stink eye a moment. "We did get the thing you were after though." He turns to add, showing of the glowing gem.

Kasha smiled and her eyes got as big as dinner plates at Alys' idea. She inhaled loudly, comically, about to shout like silly, but then Dio spoke. So, instead of shouting, she made a loud lip flapping raspberry in the air as she slumped her shoulders, disappointed she didn't get the chance. She did like the kiss on the cheek, though, might have turned a shade red over it, maybe.

She also gives Obsidian a wink and a secret, hidden, thumbs up at the unintentional mischief.

Alys would inhale deeply, intending to shout with Kasha, only for Dio to show up. The elf would deflate, much less comically than the druid and turn to her with both hands up. "I give that raspberry a 10." Then she'd turn to Dio with a wave from the floor.

Kasha shyly babbled appreciative sentiments at Alys' nice comment, clearly smitten at the kinda words. She layed on her lazily face up and didn't get up unless she did. She finger waggled Obsidian over and, if he came over, pet him as he sat on her stomach.

Stella nods. "Yeah, we got the essence."

Obsidian ignores the stinkeye and gives Kasha a pleased look.

Dio dispels the forcecage, letting you all out as he collects the gem. He then casts a few spells to light up the shop before heading in the back. "This'll take a few hours, so make yourselves comfortable." After about two hours of waiting inside Dio's store, he comes out, looking victorious, holding a longsword in his hands. "I finally did it! I successfully imbued a longsword with electrical energy! Now I don't particularly know if any of you use longswords, but since I am now able to create electrified weapons, I can add that property to a weapon you own, assuming that it does not already have an elemental property. And since you completed this mission, I would be willing to offer you a reward, I could either create a magical item for you, for free, or if its something beyond my capabilities, like that armor from dragon scales, I could research it for you. What say you?"

"I don't need a magical item, i've got two, no three - magical things right here!" Kasha squeezes Alys and Obsidian while lying on the floor and also points to Ivan, giving him a huge comical wink. She returns to her position laying down resting her head on Aly's thigh and continues to eat and pet Obsidian.

Yvan visibly tenses up at Kasha's words, a light blush making itself present on his cheeks in embarrassment. He clears his throat as he moves on to say, "Mm... Although I don't use them much..." He takes out a javelin. "Don't know when we'd fight a flying enemy, so... Could you do something with this?"

Yvan: "What would you like me to do? An elemental enhancement? Or would you like me to enchant it so that it returns when thrown?"
