Again, Alys will awkwardly shimmy away in disgust from the Zombie trying to attack her, successfully dodging it. She'd shudder, "Stop trying to touch me!" she'd put some distance between her and the Zombie, taking shelter behind Yvan. "Play with your own kind!" Her voice muffles out from behind the giant, followed by a loud bell toll.

Seeing the fight turn more and more in their favor, a manic grinning Barnabus puts away the panflute and raps:

"This mire's almost clear
The Fire is getting near
And what we thought Dire
Is less so sings the Choir!"

With every few words that left his mouth, a wisp of fire escaped his lips. Only on the last note does his shout comes with a bolt of fire leaping from his throat and fly into the face of one of the twisted former servants.

Rinn sidesteps the dropping bodies, turning to follow Barnabus' arcane bolt and delivering a pair of slashes at Zombie5. "Let's put these down quickly and find the druid," he says.

Eyes, flashing, TigerKa will spin around and attack the Zombie that's trying to meet Alys.

The zombie is reduced to ash by Vastra's attack! 

Vastra spends the next 36 seconds shooting flames into the sky. "We will have to inform Maxwell of the fates of his servants. Theleus must be inside and I doubt that he will be friendly, or as easy as these zombies. Be ready for a fight."

Rinn nods, cleaning his blades on the dead again zombies. "Perhaps a quieter approach?"

The elf begins moving forward quietly, scanning his approach for more threats.

Sneaky-sneak sneak: 21

Ktigsha chuffs at the group and takes a moment to clean herself. She nuzzles Yvan and Alys and then pushes on Vastra's hand with her nose in a clear attempt to get her to pet her. Satisfied, she then quietly pads behind Rinn, sniffing the ground and the air.

Stella nods, hand still tight around her rapier. "Then let's be on our guard and figure out what's happened."

Alys will give Kasha some pets and a hug for taking care of the Zombies close to her. She'd then head over to one of the Zombies to investigate it closer after Vastra reminds her that they were once people.

Investigation: 9

After investigating the corpses for any clues to what could have happened, or of course if they maybe had something valuable or interesting on them, Alys would catch back up with the group, following very close behind Yvan.

Alys: You don't really find anything of value on the bodies. Their clothes are ripped in places, but you assume that they're wearing servants uniforms and were responsible for the upkeep of the manor. You aren't completely sure, but from what you know about creepers, you assume that the one here used it's musk to lure them in, before killing and turning them.

Everyone: The doors open, revealing a house that was once fine, but you see that the carpets and whatever artwork was on the wall have been torn apart by some form of clawed creature, the finery and furniture have been smashed, and overall the manor has a musty smell about it. The way splits in this main hall, with a hallway at the left and right, each having a door at the end. In the center of the room is a staircase leading upwards. 

Barnabus tried to follow Rinn's example, and just stick to the back; eyes and ears peeled for danger, but otherwise focused on the task at hand. After locking sights on the claws however, the half-orc would at least start to drift closer to it, and examine them to see if a matching creature might come to mind. "Huh... Say Al? Think if we put some scarf's on it'll keep the musk from getting to us going forward?" He would whisper back upon returning to the group's side.

Intelligence Check: 18. (Same Bonus for any int based skill barring religion and history, which are +6 instead)

Barnabus: You remember one time that Kasha tried to climb a tree as a bear and she left a bunch of claw marks that looked rather similar to the ones you see now, except a bit smaller.

Kashger smiles and nods, recognizing the story, and the marks. She chuffs in contentment.

Rinn looks to the others. "Always go left?" he asks, before heading down the left hallway and pausing at the door to listen.

Perception: 20

Barnabus shrugs. "Sounds like a plan to me boss. Druid friend was here for a hot sec, and probably scrapped with whatever caused all this mess. But it don't look so good that none of the doors weren't just torn through." He admits as much prior to taking out his crossbow for the first time, and keeping it aimed at the door as Rin goes to listen.

Alys would walk up near Barnabus when he’d ask her about the scarfs and look up at the claw marks as well, “I don’t think that’s from a Yellow Musk Creeper... but if there is one, I would think it could help give you some advantage against the musk, but I wouldn’t know for sure unless we tried.”

When Rinn would suggest to go left, Alys would look to him with a nod, “I’m a fan of going left when given the choice.”

Barnabus snorts and rolls his eyes. "Ya mix'n me words, luv. I already figured the claws I think are from our druid friend that was s'pose to take care of this place. I was just commenting on how none of the doors weren't over from 'im continuing the fight elsewhere, ya dig?" He gives her a sidelong look. "But oi. Worth a shot right? The scarf thing I mean." Just as he said that, and whispers some command, his clothes changes to a more loosefitting set of traveling clothes with a sort of built in muffler. It takes some doing, but eventually he tightens the muffler about his face prior to giving whoever is close a thumbs up and going back to readying a shot.

Kasha chuffs and follows.

Alys: Please roll another Nature check.

Everyone: Rinn detects no traps or anything special about the door as he moves up to it. You open the door to enter a ruined library, desks ruined, books strewn all about the room, with pages torn out. There's a painting on the ground, the frame around it is broken and the painting itself is ripped up. in the spot where the painting was, there is a crude carving of a humanoid skull with vines growing through it.

Alys Nature: 14

Alys would scratch the back of her head for mistaking Burnabus’ words. “Heh...” and she’d nod, agreeing that it’s worth a shot.
