(Xanlanann throws the door open and throws his dagger with deadly precision. It goes spinning in the air, looking pretty awesome, hits the old Shaman Goblin right between the eyes and he goes flying, landing in a heap. The Bugbear lets out a growl in anger!)
"Aaaaargh! My ritual! You'll pay for that!"
Everyone roll initiative!
DMs note: Sorry, should have mentioned to you, only the 1st person thru the door gets a preemptive attack. Since Xan was most impulsive, he gets it.

The normally somewhat sluggish priest sprang into action with blistering speed, his actions driven by a fanatical anger towards evil. Shouting a prayer in celestial as he gripped his holy symbol, a bolt of radiant light blasted forth, launching itself towards the Bugbear.
(Walton's righteous indignation knows no bounds, and his Guiding Bolt crackles the air before hitting the Bugbear with devastating accuracy and power, sending him flying backwards! The back of the Bugbear's head hits the well near the makeshift altar, leaving cracks and damage. The Bugbear slowly gets up but is clearly very hurt.)
Erhorn tries an Eldritch Blast at the Bugbear. He flicks his fingers almost absently, and then half-heartedly murmurs "pew-pew" under his breath as a lance of crackling green light flares from his index finger towards the leader of the group. (To-hit: 7 Damage: 8)
"Surrender or die," he says to the Goblins. "Please surrender."
(Xanlanann's Rapier pierces the Bugbear's Hide Armor and leaves a bleeding wound in it's side. The Bugbear bellows in pain but stands defiantly, parrying Xan's second dagger attack.
Off to the side, Bess cowers in her cage, terrified of the battle before her.)
Could see the damage that had been done already to the Bugbear. They could take down the head honcho early. How much the battle would swing in the party's favor to take the beast down was too great to put into words. Frederick took aim, gunning for the head of the bugbear. "C'mon, c'moooon!" Psyching himself up, he fires his arrow at the bugbear.

(Frederick's arrow flies and hits the Bugbear in the neck! Blood spurts out as the formidable-looking beast falls to his knees, clutches at his throat and falls over, dead.)
"Boss! No!"
(The 2 Goblins that are left panic and take hasty shots at the Ranger who has just killed their leader!)
Attack: 14 Damage: 8
Attack: 11 Damage: 4
(One of the Goblins gets lucky and lands another arrow in Frederick's already injured shoulder, but the other arrow misses wildly.)
(Walton rushes one of the hapless Goblins and bashes his little head in with his Mace, leaving a pile of goo where its brains used to be. The last Goblin pees his britches at the sight of this, but holds his bow up defiantly.)
Frederick draws his bow. "I don't have a problem with that plan. Let's do it." He mutters, hoping that they were near the girl, now.
Xanlanann throws the door open and throws his dagger at the shaman
Attack: 16 Damage: 7

Having been embarrassed and hurt, the Bugbear sets his sights on the Cleric, swinging his Warhammer with all of his might!)
