"Yes please Axandros burn this vile thing" he says as he looks around the room before they head back making sure no secrets are evading them

"I was born to please.", Axandros said jokingly and concerning the act of burning things, this was almost a true statement. The wizard fired series of Fire Bolts at the tapestry, in the hope it may catch fire.

The jet of flames strikes the tapestry, igniting it and the mold on the wall. The area is illuminated by this for a brief moment, before both the tapestry and the mold have burnt away to nothing.

Checking the altar room, there is another path that leads out of the room. The altar room has not much beside the alter with entrails on and the mask behind it. The path leads into a dead-end room, also flooded. However, floating face-down in the water in this room is the bloated form of a human man, not wearing a shirt to show several stab wounds on the back.

Khaffosi comments, "Think we found who the entrails belong to."  

Looking at the submerged tunnel, "Someone needs to swim down and check what is below, and it won't be me!"

Alea stood back not keen on going into water with her heavy armor and lack of swimming abilities 

While the water is murky, it appears to have flooded at worst perhaps 2-3 feet. The body has multiple stab wounds on the back, doesn't appear to be equipped with anything. a DC 10 Medicine check could probably determine how long this body has been dead for.

“God...it looks like he was stabbed 28 times“ Alea said looking at the body with disgust and discontent for the perpetrators of this horrible act

Alea discerns that the time of death was approximately 50 hours ago, give or take a few based on water damage to the corpse.

“He died a bit more then 2 days ago, recent”

From the back, Khaffosi says, "Flip him over.  He look like a sacrifice, or are there any markings identifying him as a cultist?"

Arrow flips him over and goes through any pockets he might have for valuables...err I mean clues

This whole situation was borderline unacceptable for the mage. Wading through the sewers while investigating mutilated corpses, he could not believe how far he had fallen. It was good that someone volunteered to take a closer look at the corpse because he surely wouldn't do such a thing. "We should move on. This place gives me the creeps.", he said and it was the truth. 

The corpse is turned over. The man's face appears unscathed, as does his stomach. There is a lone burnt mark on his left bicep akin to a brand, a skull similar to that of the mask on the wall in the prior room. some fetid water falls out of the dead man's mouth, an unsettling sight.

Khaffosi looks at the brand and nods.  "Good to know we can identify the cultists easily enough.  Now, someone check underneath the water to see if there's a passage below?"

Even though the murder scene is unpleasant, Hunferho wants to remember the cultist's face, in case the Flaming Fist want to identify him later.

Hunferho to Khaffosi: "It is very generous that you are volunteering to check underneath these dirtied waters. I can't speak for the others, but I know I wouldn't want to do that."

"However, maybe you should wait until we examine the other 2 cultist doors that are above water? If you feel that we've missed something, after that, you can always come back here later and swim to your heart's content."

(If the party agrees to try another door, he votes for the Myrkul door next, leaving the Bane door for last.)

Khaffosi bluntly says, "Water up to my knees is already too deep for my tastes.  There's no way I'm going any deeper."

Arrow, already standing in the water will splash his way back to Khaffosi taking careful attempts to splash him as much as possible,  before heading back to the room with all the doors.
