Meepo munches a crunchy beetle while Lionel makes his request.
Another bug explodes as Mordekai strikes it, sending other bugs running for cover. The headless body also takes a blast of magic. His little spirit frowns as if confused, and then shrugs, “Wrong lie. I can’t explain.”
Gazre-Azam nods, “Very well. Such a thing is known to me.” He begins waving his arms and speaking arcane words. A moment later he begins to fade away and he says, “Farewell good friend Meepo and his allies. Best of luck in your plight.” Without further explanation he vanishes with a flash, leaving behind a golden amulet on a gold chain. The amulet has a big green emerald in its middle. You all know innately the it is an Amulet of the Planes

Lionel picked up the amulet and handed it over to Meepo. "You did not make a special wish but that thing by all rights belong to you, friend Meepo." Then he looked around in disgust - insect infestation really dropped the price of that particular property, even without the spirit's neighbours one would have to pay someone to live here. "Ready to return?" If everyone agrees, he would get the rock from the cave and for the first time use the helmet's ability to teleport people.
Assuming we're told what it does, Ulthan starts stacking the tables within 15 feet, tables, chair, furniture, etc, basically anything that can be moved is moved, whatever rocks are inside the room as well at the bottom with tables, chairs, etc stacked nicely. He hugs and holds on to the cat. "hrmpfh.... ready....hrmpfh"
Ketch notices Ulthan's actions and clears his throat to get his attention. "I do believe Lionel intends to teleport us back to the portal to Sigil via the helmet. It is much more reliable. There should be no side effects..." Ketch then looks to Lionel and nods that he is ready.
Mordekai says to Quinn, "Well, I guessed as much. Very well. Ride with me?" He holds open a pocket in the outside of his cloak for Quinn to ride in if he chooses, still unsure whether Quinn will get left behind as the group teleport away, but preferring to offer the spirit a discreet ride rather than highlight to the rest of the group that Mordekai is bringing along a stowaway. He's sure someone will have noticed, but isn't going to raise the conversation himself at this point.
(I think Lionel may need to know of hitchhiker in order to choose to include it in the teleport... But I am sure such can be converted with significant eye movements and such...)
Just before departing, Ketch will throw whatever quick and easy combustibles he can atop the ex wizard and set them all afire...
Leaving behind the flaming dead body of the wizard, but taking the little spirit, the group appears with a swirling inversion of reality...standing ankle deep in sea water in the dragons cave. The place is quiet, showing no hint that the dragon had returned.
Quinn vibrates a little and whispers to Mordekai, "Reality is a lie!"

Maybe reality was a lie, but the cold seawater - very much real. "I'll try to get us closer to the door next time," promised Lionel moving to the exit. "Let's get to the inn and decide the next move. Maybe everyone is ready to visit home?"To be fair, after that storm and insect-infested world, Sigil already felt like home. At least until the absence of sky would get on the nerve again.
Meepo settles the new amulet around his neck, nodding to Lionel to indicate he is ready. He makes sure all of his skeletons are back in his hole, then would teleport with the others.
Back in the dragon's empty lair, Meepo splashes through the water to get to some dry place to stand. "Meepo want know if go back to Sigil now or stay here?" He asks, glancing to the group for an indication of next steps.
"My friend, there are many realities. I simply believe it's up to us to choose which we're going to inhabit each day." Mordekai wonders if Mordenkainen went mad because he found himself a friend like Quinn. But for the moment, Mordekai will turn his attention to the group, launching into a speech about how they have just defeated a powerful wizard, a mighty dragon, and an incredible feat of magical engineering all at once, and points to the power of friendship and loyalty, that creates a force far more powerful than the sum of its parts.
Sigil or our original reality, I guess that’s the question. Not that we all need agree if Meepo is willing to play taxi driver. But the use of the item is a gamble… In Sigil there seems to be unending job opportunities and contacts to help spend the gold they earn. Back “home” they better understand the reality and the rules and they can carve out their own path and damn well cut through whatever tries to stop them. Ketch votes home, if for no other reason than he feels the air fresher and looking up to not see the sky is just weird…
"Let's get to the inn and decide there. Maybe even in the morning." A walk to the inn could add some perspective on its own. On one hand, Lionel very much wanted to feel the normal ground under his feet, with the normal sun in the normal sky above. And tamed magic regulated by the common law was much appealing as well. But on the other hand... That crazy "city life" was growing on him (no, not like a fungus, though one could see some similarity). A neverending adventure on the crossroads of all the worlds - that was something he dreamt about as a boy. Still, they needed to test the device, right? Why not by visiting home?
Ulthan looks around in bewilderment... and ensuring Urzo is there with him, he walks out of the fort of tables and chairs he built. For now content to follow the group.
"Meepo like Sigil." Meepo says with a glance to the others. He also has no interest in using this new amulet unless their lives depended on it, so there is that.
Saying the right words, the group triggers the passage back to Sigil. You emerge into the cold Sigil air. It's the evening here and as usual the alleyway you emerge into through the storage closet is empty. You return to the familiar Inn which seems especially cramped once again, after being in a literal giant castle and traveling overland across open skied country. You're all eager to get some good rests in a nice bed. Unfortunately you find your dreams filled with visions of rot, bugs, vermin and scenes involving zombies and skeletons pushing themselves out of the earth. It leaves everyone feeling a little less well rested. Whats worse is when you wake you seem to notice bugs in your rooms. A spider hunched in a corner. A beetle scrabbling out from under your bag. A rat squeaking and fleeing through a floorboard hole. You don't remember the Inn being like this before. As you head downstairs for breakfast, there is a gith arguing with the front desk. "...well rats aside, I would expect to find a centipede crawling through my sheets! I am known in the traveling gith community, you do NOT want a bad review from me..." The folks around the small restaurant seem unusually grumpy looking, with sagging bags under eyes and general lack of lively chatter or smiles.
Your tout is nowhere to be seen, but you've been away for a couple days so that's not terribly surprising.
Meepo, you wake up feeling quite fine. You had dark mesmerizing dreams that were fascinating and unusual and left you wanting perhaps a bit more. You pick a mult-limbed thing off the wall and toss it into your mouth, crunching down on it. Mmm, what a nice surprise.
You kick your sheets off and look down at your leg. Strange text written in a spidery hand writing, black and flecked with silvery are drawn across your toes, feet and ankles. You know usually you couldn't understand this language, but...for some reason you can now read it, and know it's Sylvan. It seems to be telling a story about some creature called Princess of the Shadow Glass, being at war, but there's not enough text for you to get more. When he leaves his room to go to the stairwell, he glances down the hallway where a full mirror is stuck to the wall. His clothes float there in space, but every bit of place he has skin showing doesn't appear in the mirror. He looks at himself, expecting himself to be invisible, but he's not. He just casts no reflection.
