Aga, her face beast like, rips, tears and attacks the father, her fists thudding on it's bony back, her teeth sinking in and tearing at its flesh, black blood smearing her face. Olin swings his staff, slamming it into the creatures neck which makes a might crack. A blast of black energy from Mordekai flashes past, sending bits of clay sprinkling about the room from where it strikes the wall.

Mordekai, torn between being encouraged by seeing that his friends are now getting some decent hits on the creature, but alarmed that the creature is still fighting, and incredibly frustrated that all he can hit are walls and ceilings, closes his eyes, takes a deep breath, calms himself and mutters something to his patron about "...better make for a good story after all this..." Then he opens his eyes, focuses on the Father, and unleashes one more Eldritch Blast.
Meepo sends yet another bolt in at the father. He hopes those red potions are something useful as he sees his friends getting clobbered by the thing, whatever it is...
Olin collapse backwards, deep gouges across his face. Aga leaps on the father, his body collapsing upon her weight as she pummels him, and bites deep into his neck, spitting out a chunk of blackened flesh, her face smeared with black ooze.
She stands, spitting black stained spittle on the body. The tainted feeling of this place feels a bit lighter, the cursed parents, the heads of some sort of evil worship, whose children were left to die of starvation in the attic, are now dead.
Kane, badly injured, picks himself and his torch off of the floor, leaving a smear of blood across the floor and on the wall that he pushes himself against to stand. From further on in the underground tunnels, the group hears the snarls and barks of more creatures, though they sound distant enough that an attack is not immediately imminent.
Meepo pulls the red vials from his pack. he dabs a finger in one and tastes it. If he thinks it is ok he will give one to Olin, by pouring it down his throat. If it proves to heal Olin, he will also give a second to Kane, and anyone else who needs one.
"They no bite Meepo..." Meepo says with a nod of approval. "Bad door bite Meepo... You see..." He nods towards where the bite had been. "Bad mother and bad father no bite, or claw, Meepo though..."

To Meepo's tongue the potion tastes sweet and smells lemony. He feeds it to Olin. Olin, you gain 6 hps from the potion. Kane declines the potion. (I was wrong, Kane has a trick up his sleeve and wasn't as badly injured as I thought.)
Olin gasps back to consciousness and looks around. Seeing Meepo standing over him with an empty vial he smiles grimly, "Thank you, friend. I knew you wouldn't let me get lost." Olin glances around the room, seeing the corpses of the Mother and Father. "We'd better get out of here, or get ready. I don't know how much longer we have until the one I turned comes back."
Olin pushes himself back to standing. Leaning heavily on his staff he casts guidance on himself, pauses for a breath and casts shillelagh. "Now, where to?"
"Well, if we don't have much time before those other creatures return, can I suggest getting to that trap door as quickly as possible? Meepo, do you remember where it is? I think either we leave this house immediately, or we are finished in this basement at least, and should look for a safe place to recover before searching the upper house. However, I get the impression the longer we stay in the house, the more things will come and find us."
(Not sure there's such a thing as a safe place in this house - it seems designed to not let us rest safely. So is it worth trying to take another long rest somewhere, or just cut our losses and leave with 5 party members?)
"Meepo ready leave." Meepo speaks up, still angry about the bad door biting him. He would make sure everything is on his floating disk still, and start back towards that trap door they saw earlier. "Need summon Rat when out here." He grumbles as he looks around for the zombie tressym and realizes, again, that it is no longer with him.
The party, leaving behind splashes of their blood still trickling down the wall, hurry past the table room and down the far hallway. The hall to the left that they pass issues sounds of scuffling, snorting, and muffled barks as the sound of many ghoulish creatures can be heard. They emerge into the room with the small idol holding a smokey crystal ball, and head to the secret passage to the stairs up. The hallway to the left also issues several scuffs, scrapes and noises, unnervingly much closer. The group sneaks up the stairs and begins climbing the ladder into the 1st floor Den of the house.
Meepo clambers up, followed by Olin, and Kane. Mordekai grabs the old wooden slats of the ladder and places hand over hand. Aga is next, her black smeared face still fearsome and beastlike. As she grabs the last slat the snorting and barking noises get louder, as creatures emerge from both hallways into the idol room. She steps up, slamming the trap door as the creature come charging up the stairs towards the ladder.
The group looks around. The house that was once filled with cobwebs and furniture is now blackened, it's walls torched, holes and gaps visible through walls, windows gone, the cold foggy night air visible through its. The floors above are burned, and the third floor may be completely gone. The fire was not recent. The burnt husk of the building has been like this a long time, decades based on how the ancient signs of fire have been worn away by rain and weather.
Out in the foggy street, a hunched figure stands, obscured by mist, swaying back and forth slowly, facing the house and seemingly waiting.

"Meepo like house better before." Meepo says as he looks over the place with a frown. "Meepo leave now." He says with a nod of decision. Moving towards one of the holes in the wall, or a door if that is easier with his disk, he moves out of the house, looking over the figure on the road as he gets closer.
As Mordekai passes through the room with the statue, he looks it up and down once more without breaking stride, and casts Disguise Self to look like a perfect replica as he leaves the house.
Then, noticing the state of the house as he leaves it, his mind races, thinking through everything that just happened, searching for any logical explanation.
Meepo and the others exit the burned out husk of the house, and Aga shouts at the figure, "Who are you?!".
The figure, hunched, seems to hop back and forth nervously from foot to foot. As the party gets closer they see a disfigured person, with a hunched back and misshapen face. He's wearing a ratty shirt, and torn pants, and is barefoot on the cold muddy cobblestones.
In a whiny, groveling voice he responds, "No one but Thistle. It's just Thistle here. Thistle brings you welcome from m'lord, welcome to his domain."
As he looks up his eyes focus on Mordekai and his face opens in surprise, a slight gasp. "M'lord?" His eyes squint and he frowns.

"Where lord?" Meepo asks, glancing around. He shakes his head at Mordekai's disguise. Looking at the figure again. "Meepo go caravan..." He says with a nod of his head, then turns and tries to find his way back towards the wagons, towing his disk of things along behind him.
