Laffa, fearful as ever was ready to cast a spell and flee but doesn't as Lionel intercedes.  "ME?!? You guys are the ones that have these weird bugs and strange dreams. It's not the princesses tattoo curse. That was never part of it for me....I assumed you were doing it intentionally or something." 

Quinn shivers a bit under Mordekai's question and seems more concerned with Mordekai's attitude that implies he might be lying to him. "Quinn can not lie. Lies are, but Quinn can not make them be. The curse?  I do not know this. But....the skull staff whispers constantly. Can you not hear it?"  He shivers uncomfortably and looks pointedly at the horrific staff in Meepo's grasp.

"Hm... He might be right. Come to think of it, bugs and nightmares began right after we bought magic items from that creepy man, that Salrius introduced us to. Meepo, is there something we do not know about your mace?"

"Meepo no know." Meepo says with a shrug. "Wand works for Meepo." He says with a glance around. He pulls the skull-headed wand/mace in to his chest, hugging the putrid thing. "Meepo like bugs." He offers, holding up the half-eaten spider. " He gobbles down the second half.

with a sigh he holds up the mace/wand. "Meepo no want Meepo friends suffer though. Maybe wand have curse..." He glances to Ketch. "Ketch able remove curse? Meepo would like could keep bugs though... Maybe Meepo Friend Ketch only remove some of curse?"

Ulthan pipes up perhaps unhelpfully looking well rested despite having a long run. "hrmpfh sleep away good rest sleep close bad rest hrmpfh" "hrmpfh maybe no queen rest hrmpfh". You've noted through his monotone voice that there is no inflection for as long as you've known him. So he could be speaking normally, making a point! or asking a question?.

     Instead of casting the Remove Curse on Laffa, Ketch will instead listen to how things fall out and eventually take the mace from Meepo.  "Give me a little time to work on this problem. I want to be careful with your treasured weapon..."

     Ketch will then walk a distance from the party (20 or 30 feet, nothing insane or out of sight) and sit and place the mace upon the ground in front of him.  Ketch nexts spends the next ten minutes or so ritually casting Divination  "If I remove the curse from this mace before me," Ketch asks of Gruumsh, "will it lose it's other arcane abilities and properties?  A warrior needs know what is best for his weapon before he makes such decisions..."

     If Gruumsh assures Ketch that there is no danger to the other properties, then Ketch will cast Remove Curse upon the mace.  If Gruumsh's answer is unclear, vague or otherwise problematic then Ketch will relay whatever answer Gruumsh provides. "It is your decision, Meepo."

To Quinn, Mordekai replies "Sorry, friend. You have only helped me since we met. I did not truly doubt you were the source. But I have seen curses and I have known curses, and they make a person paranoid. Forgive me, and thank you for enlightening me once again."

As well Ulthan intercedes in front of Laffa "hrmpfh no point hrmpfh"

Does Meepo let Ketch take his wand/staff away to go cast his divinations on it? 

     Ketch could do his Divination ritual without taking the wand/staff so would allow Meepo to continue holding it if he argues the point.  The distance was more to not bother the others with his chanting and ritualized scratching himself more than anything else. 

Meepo follows Ketch, keeping a hold of the mace if it is allowed.

Ketch and Meepo move to one side and then Ketch begins his ritualized scratching, thumping and chanting.  He completes his Divination spell.  

Gruumsh responds... "Don't waste my time. I have much belching and war to make. If you want to know about a thing you have, you have to show it to me fool!" 

Ketch frowns and scratches his head looking at the staff/wand in front of him (that Meepo is still holding onto with one hand.) 

If meepo needs to release it he would do so, but he would stay nearby, looking nervous and wringing his clawed fingers as he watches.

Ok, wether Meepo releases the staff or not, Gruumsh replies that he doesn't know what the bejesooz Ketch is talking about!  Wether it's called a mace, or staff, or wand, it would SEEM that Gruumsh isn't "aware" of its existence, even though its right in front of you guys. 

     “We’ll it’s a truthful reply, obviously Gruumsh is blind in his one damn eye and useless as a deity.  The choice is yours, my friend.  We can risk my failure of a god totally botching a removal of a potential curse…  or we can seek other methods to fix what ails us,” Ketch offers.

"A god is unable to see this thing. Very interesting. Can it be not the "thing" but ... not sure how to call it - a creature?"

     “A god tricked by semantics is a puny god, no?”

"Want to talk about it?" Lionel was quite serious - the crisis of beliefs is a known thing among devoted. "But the thing-creature-whatever it is, is beginning to worry me. It is up to Meepo but I would prefer it to be cleansed. At least to try."

"Perhaps the Queen of Air and Darkness herself would know? She does owe us,  I'd say."

     "Ha!  Yes!  Let us talk to the Queen of This and That and I shall tell her all my woes about my do nothing deity..." Ketch says with as much humor as he has displayed in a month.  "Perhaps I can teach her how to throw a punch and she can overthrow Gruumsh, eh?"

"If Meepo Friends think it need do." Meepo says, his coppery scales going a bit dull. He seems like his puppy was just murdered in front of him, but he holds up the wand/mace, offering it to Ketch. "Meepo no want Meepo Friends suffer..."
