The group took the notes (even Reya did not make fuss over it) and returned to Owis and the vault. It seems the door was still locked and Owis did not report any activities around (assuming flapping wings did not bother the Polly).
Fran tried the idea of smoking the enemy out. There are no visible cracks on the door - it was a true vault, ravelling the one good banks possess. However, if there is any kind of ventilation there, sooner or later the smoke could come in (if there is no ventilation - those inside would come out as well. May be not that fast, though). Adding more and more pieces of robe (and smelling now as if they spent a night around bonfire) the group was destructed by the sound of voice: "Joining our sanitary crew, I see? Or is your "employer" so eager to meet me, that you follow me here?"
Amric himself is standing behind three guards, his flying devil hoovering above him. The group did not try to ambush you but their steps were unnaturally quiet. Still, they stopped at the beginning of the corridor connecting the vault and High Observer's quarters.
"You are trespassing on my property and killed several men of the house. I see no reason why I should let you live".
A little late, Choir remembers the key she picked up after the fight with the big devil and, ignoring Amric, tries it in the door.

Adray stands up and faces Amric. He gives out a slight chuckle. "Oh, destiny favors us tonight, for my employer is justice herself. I came to this city to see what had happened to my home and it seems your family is thick in the middle of it."
He begins to crack his knuckles loudly, rolls his head gently to the side producing another series of pops from the joints there and continues to speak. "Come now, come and answer our questions or risk losing everything tonight. Your house, your money, your reputation, your family. I'd include your soul but no doubt you traded that to the devils long ago." He spits to the side. "What say you? We ain't got all night."

"Your home?" Amrik raised a brow, "Oh, you meant Elturel? But my family had nothing to do with it. Your precious city was given up by your no less precious governor, or whoever your High Observer - this is the title, right? - was to it. And I do not see..." he probably was going to continue but yet another "liar!!!! and a crossbow bolt finished the conversation. Reya finally saw someone capable to answer for the terrible impossible accusations of the man she revered (and expected everyone to shaer the feeling). She missed, but Amrik got the point. So did his men.
This has been quite a long enough long-distance conversation. Choir pulls out her crossbow. Initiative: 17

“Aye, it’s a party now...” Fran would mutter under her breath as she sees Amrik and his band standing down the hall way. It turned into quite an intense stand off with Reya leading with the first arrow. The artificer would whip out her tools and take the moment to mend Brutus.
With the treat of immanent attack, Adray jumped into action first. He made a quick run at the man directly in front of him. Jumped into the air, drew and tossed a dart at the demon and then kicked at the cultist as he landed.

It could be safely assumed, that Amrik did not really like Adray (nor the rest of the group, probably, but Adray and Ordrag were definitely on top of his list). Adray's swift reaction did not do much to dissipate the feeling.
The dart certainly hit the ugly creature, so did the kick (to the guard). But the close highly disliked target was too tempting to look at anyone else. Devil hissed and attacked (keeping his distance, though). He swing his tail twice, sending two needles towards Adray:
Attack: 14 Damage: 5 + 3 fire damage
Attack: 13 Damage: 5 + 6 fire damage
Amrik added a couple daggers to that assault. There was a reason, why that wealthy, perfectly dressed and groomed, spoiled man dared to walk the night streets practically alone:
Attack: 19 Damage: 6
Attack: 25 Damage: 8
Attack: 7 Damage: 6
Finally, a heavy kicked guard wanted to retaliate and tried to reach Adray with his short spear:
Attack: 14 Damage: 9
Everyone else's turn (Polly - accepted, Fran could repare Brutus during "peace talk" and has an action now too)
Though Choir really thinks Amrik needs a crossbow bolt to the face, she obeys her orders and fires at the demon!

Fran will take the few steps forward necessary to get into range once melee has made their move. She’d smack her wrist on the wall, tink, and send her familiar acid bubble towards the devil, splashing Amerik in the process.
”See if yeh can get behind them Brute.” Fran will let out a sharp whistle and Brutus will bound down the hallway.

Round 2
Adray finished another guard, who might have been trained to deal with weapons (he avoided the sword) but was not ready for meet a monk. All what was left was the Devil, Amrik (who did not look like he was going to run away this time) and one guard (G3). It was that time when Amrik yelled "Joined us, mother", the devil screeched something and the vault's door opened up.
Thalamra could not step out - Choir and Fran blocked the way - but she was ready to fight!
Probably hoping for a distraction, little devil despite his promice, attacked Adray again, though, this time trying to bite and pin with the fork his offender:
Attack: 8 Damage: 2
Attack: 19 Damage: 1
Cursing, devil again flew up to the ceiling, too fast even for Adray to be caught (no AoO)
A smug smile appeared on Amrik's lips and he threw 3 more daggers at Adray:
