Saralyssa and Urmdir recall stories of a monolith known as Whisper Rock, the history of the stone and it’s surrounding ruins lost to time. is said that something lurks within the monolith, whispering fell prophecies until it is released from its confinement.
"Well, not sure we want to tarry around here..." Saralyssa pipes up. She eyes the structure in the clearing with a bit of interest nevertheless. "Unless someone wants to check it out a bit..." She says a bit hopefully. "I've heard rumors of such a place, and it is said that some being is locked inside, whispering fell prophecies..." She shivers a bit at the excitement of it all.
Urmdir frowns at the edifice. "I have heard some of this. Foul magics. I do not trust such a thing." He looks around, discomfort plain on his face. "I will not stop anyone with more knowledge, but I suggest we do not tarry here long."

Urmdir clutches at his head, making no attempt to mask the intrusion. As the voice grows louder he drops to one knee and speaks the same words aloud to his new companions. "The cleric, the nightmare, the toad, the grey, these are the characters, their story a play."
When it stops he rises, removes his helmet, and wipes sweat from brow. His hand holding the helmet shakes as he gestures towards the stone. "That's the words this thing is putting into my head. We cannot stay here any longer." Urmdir dons his helmet and makes haste away from the stone.

Saralyssa is torn between logical reasoning, which says to go away as fast as possible, and curiosity as Seeker moves up to the structure. she holds her ground, waiting to see what the others do.
Wisp took out a journal and scribbled the words down. She wondered why Urmdir was seemingly the only one to hear it, maybe he was just mental. Or maybe there was something he connected to with this structure. She kept her journal out to document what happened as the Warforged, Seeker she scribbled down, touched the stone.
Siggür walks a few steps into the clearing as he listens to the voices. There doesn't seem to be strain on his features. He holds an out stretched hand into the air, as if feeling for a presence. "There are restless spirits here..."
Seeker chips off a small piece of stone while Saralyssa casts her spell, and to her eyes the monolith is wreathed in purple fire. Whisper Rock sings with magic.
Siggür shakes his head a bit to clear it. "My brother is right, we should move on. As far as the foretelling...I don't presume to interpret. But The Toad is a name we've heard before. The cleric could be the one the dwarves spoke of from the start of their journey. Which would leave this wizard to be the nightmare or the grey. "Siggür shrugs his pack up onto his shoulders. " Let's hope he's the latter not the former."

"This isn't exactly the thing I was hopeful to see after a few cairns made up like skulls..." Siggur says to himself more than anything.

Seeker history: 3
If he knows anything else, he’ll share what he knows with the group.
Seeker recalls the same stories as Urmdir and Saralyssa.
A whisper begins to echo in Urmdir and Siggur’s mind, faint at first but gradually growing stronger until the murmur forms itself into words.
The cleric, the nightmare, the toad, the grey, these are the characters, their story a play.
This sentence is repeated three times until it is burned into your memory.
Seeker will slowly approach the monument and place his hand on it, muttering, almost to himself, “What does it mean I wonder?”

(Divine Sense to see if anything pings)
Siggur senses a presence not good, not evil, but transcending morality and mortal conception. Chills run down his spine.
Seeker senses a strong aura of abjuration magic when he touches the monolith.
Would it be possible, between smith’s tools and tinkers tools, for him to chip off a ping pong ball sized piece?
Saralyssa, while waiting for the one who touched the structure, will cast detect magic as a ritual.
Seeker chips off a small piece of stone while Saralyssa casts her spell, and to her eyes the monolith is wreathed in purple fire. Whisper Rock sings with magic.
"Amazing..." Saralyssa whispers in awe. "The structure is completely encased in magic..." She informs the group.
Siggür shakes his head a bit to clear it. "My brother is right, we should move on. As far as the foretelling...I don't presume to interpret. But The Toad is a name we've heard before. " Let's hope he's the latter not the former."
Seeker will carefully place the piece in his pack and turn to the others, "Shall we move on?"
