The creature shudders and seems to shrink as it hears the sound; the thunk of the bolt in its back is heard, then it falls limp crashing to the ground. You all reconvene at the top of the plateau. What do you do?
Fulcra clambers up the cave entrance. Once there, he wipes the dust off his clothes and fixes his hair. "Wow. You guys are something. Very impressive. I'm pretty sure Celtra won, but...I lost track of things in the middle there, so who can say for sure. There's one tied up and sleeping down in the cave. Where's our buddy?" Fulcra looks around, realizing he doesn't seem him anywhere. "Is he.....ok? We're not going to need another sacrifice are we?"

Taman was fine and for a moment Cimeri was almost happy - at least no one died in that mad gruesome escapade - but then Fulcra mentioned their feathery guide. "Tasmagarra is not here? Waas not he with you, Celtra? We have to go back, he might be too hurt to fly and needs help to climb."She determinedly walked back to the chimney entrance, to looked for Tas among dead and wounded.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"With me? No... maybe? From the moment I attacked I was swamped with claw and tooth. By the time it settled enough to run up here I dont recall see Tas." She looks to the sky and about. Seeing nothing she then walks to the edge and looks down.
"He fell." Taman says with a nod to the cliff edge. "Unless we are planning on going down and searching the jungle floor for him, I think he is lost." He shakes his head in frustration. "He was too far for me to do anything once he started to fall..."
So, someone did die and the whole affair was not only vile but now pointless. "Then it was all for nothing and we only helped to a desperate man to die?!"spoke Cimeri her thoughts out loud, returning from the entrance. She did not go to the cliff edge to look, the news itself was bad enough. Now she was just silently waiting for others to go back, pick up Chiirki, and leave that place for good.
Azaka joins Cimeri, placing a warm, furry hand on her shoulder; her voice is lower, gravelly, in weretiger form.
"Should I ever return to Kir Sabal, I will bring them tidings of his and his friend's passing." She looks to all of you. "This was not in vain; this was the price of answers from the witch, was it not? This was no charity on our part. Do you wish to return to the witch?" She pauses. "I, for one, do not trust witches; I am unsure that, should she be less trustworthy than you think, we should deal with her so soon after this battle. How do you all fare? Are you ready for the need to thwart enchantments and foul witchery? Is there reason for haste?"
She moves to Celtra. "Good thing your healer was there," she chuckles gruffly, handing over five dirty gold pieces.
Bryn would agree to a rest, being a little cut up from the battle and using some of her magic, it would be a good idea. It mattered more to her that everyone she cared about was alive and well after the encounter. Wherever the group decided to settle for a rest, the druid would dust off a space for her to meditate (or sleep if long rest).
Cimeri will join Bryn in meditation practice - she would find a spot facing the jungles down there, with that incredible view that sure was created to inspire peace and admiration of world's beauty, not be the bloodthirsty battles, and sit there meditating to commemorate the fallen of the today's pointless fight.
"I can use some rest, but I fear that will not be enough to make us able to deal with the witch if she is less than trustworthy." Taman speaks up. "I have no spells left now, and can only regain a little of my magic with a rest here. I believe it would be foolish to return to the hag now, or even after this rest."
Celta sat down and began to clean her blade and wipe down. "I may have won, that bet, but I count it as a loss with losing someone." She remains quiet for a bit afterward as she runs through the battle in her head noting her mistakes and trying to recall their fighting style to better prepare herself in the future.
"Master Taman," Cimeri addressed him like this for the first time but she was too concerned about the subject and reacted more instinctively, "are you saying we might attack the witch? But why?!"
"I am saying the witch is actually a hag." Taman says with a shrug. "I am saying that a hag cannot be trusted, and, to go to them without being at full strength, is unwise."
Fulcra, "Look guys, and ladies.." (he bows) ", you all proved yourself quite worthy. Even without your more powerful spells I feel the group of us could handle a little old witch. I mean, how bad could she be? I bet there's NO WAY she could defeat us. If I could place a bet today that we might lose a fight against a little tiny weak useless pathetic witch, then I would, all of it. Right now. No chance she gives us any trouble AT ALL based on what I just saw. Anyway, that's all besides the point, she's not the type to pick a fight. I got a good read on her. She survives by making deals, and helping desperate people, not attacking large groups of warriors. Nobody would ever come to rid her of her troubles and give her valuables if she just killed everyone who showed up. That's just bad business. However, all that aside, the reason we must speak with her is because no one else around these parts, and when I say these parts, I mean, the entire world, can bring people back from the dead. But apparently she can! That must mean she knows something about the situation that other people don't. I say it's highly likely she knows our destination. Unless of course you prefer to wander about this endless vast jungle hoping to just stumble across it. If Azaka doesn't want to come, then she can wait here, but our quest demands we go."

"Ah, a hag... that does complicate things," she says in a slow pensive tone. "I dont know much about hags except they have magic. Alone, I would be wary, together less so. That said, I would agree to being at full strength, unless time table is pressing."
"She would not attack," echoed Cimeri. Young tiefling could not suggest an elaborated explanation why she was so sure about it, but she had no doubts in her feelings. "If you need to camp - we will, of course, but this is like camping on an open grave here." She shuddered, "I would rather rest a little and go - it is not that far of a walk, and the sooner we get our answers and leave - the better."
Taman uses his warcaster ability to cast a spell as his attack of opportunity... A bell sounds, causing the fleeing one harm...

Taman then lifts his crossbow and takes aim, shooting a bolt at the retreating creature.

Taman glances to Fulcra. "Why return to the witch?" He asks. "If we were at full strength, I'd say yes, but, as we are, I think it very unwise."
Bryn will pop open an eye to look at the team, "Bryn in no rush. Would be wise to set up camp?" She'd ask, looking for feedback.
