Fulcra points to the right tunnel with no tracks. A message appears in Cimeri's mind as she leads the way, "Gotta hunch we should go right, give it a shot..."

Cimeri still did not get used to this form of communication. She turned to see if it was indeed Fulcra. Even it was not him, though, the idea was sound. She waited for the first one from the group to come closer, whispered "I'll check that right tunnel very fast" and moved toward the entrance - from shadow to shadow, trying to stay as unnoticeable as it was possible in the orange glow of volcano.
The size and shape of this area are impossible to determine. Clouds of roiling smoke sting your eyes, and drifting embers burn your throat as you breathe. You can, however, barely make out what looks like a lantern farther back in the smoke.
Azaka watches nervously as Cimeri disappears into the tunnel, as smoke roils out after her passage.
Cimeri did not "fought it to the end" - even tiefling's fire resistance has it's limits. She returned with an explanation, that whatever it is there - she described the impossible heat, the smoke and something, that looks like a lantern farther back in that smoke - it is unlikely living beings are smelting silver there.
It looked like either left or right tunnels with mine tracks were something worth studying.
"We can talk openly," answered Cimeri, who just finished describing the most right tunnel to the group. "would you all rather wait for me here or shall we go together?"
"You go ahead and lead, and I'll send Sabastian with you." Taman says. "We can follow a distance behind, so as not to make so much noise to make your scouting more difficult."
Fulcra frowns, "Be careful...." As she wanders away he says to the group, "Oh, they grow up so fast, don't they. Before you know it they're out on their own, scouting down dark evil tunnels looking for little tiny fiery newt things that can burn your boots off....if my cousin has anything to say on the matter anyway...."

"Then let us first check the second right tunnel,"nodded Cimeri, "if it also ends with heat and smoke, at least we shall know the part to the right is unpassible."
If there were no objections to quick look to the right tunnel, Cimeri and Sebastian went strait there, both trying to be stealthy. Just in case.
Taking the tunnel that leads forward, with tracks on it: A cavern of molten magma bubbles and flames before you. The cavern walls are lined with metal gantries and cranes that support immense crucibles of scorched clay. Huge chains stretch across the cavern, apparently to shuttle multi-ton buckets of ore across the lava. The heat takes your breath away, brings water to your eyes, and bakes your skin. From where you stand, the only obvious way across is via a narrow stone trestle built for rail carts. The sound of rhythmic hammering comes from somewhere beyond the magma rift.
Cimeri returns, motioning each of you to take a look one at a time into both tunnels that she and Sebastian investigate carefully. The result is this.
The stairs at the 'South' are where you came in. The hammering comes mainly from the Northwest. Forgive my ancient photoshop skills from back in the day. You all currently stand at the junction of the stairs and the track, having peeked your heads into the different tunnels to see the image above.
Fulcra, "Let's go right. I bet that group of tunnel leads all around the magma rift. Wow. It's hot and smokey in here. I thought it was hot outside, but that was like a nice wet hot, this hot is like an oppressive dry heat. It used to get his hot and dry crossing some of the desert regions of Chessenta, man...we would just hunker down and rest during the hot parts of the day, but man, there's no waiting this out." He is digging through his bag as he goes. He pulls out a cloth, dousing it with water, and ties it across his mouth. He then pulls out some heavier northern clothing and begins to put it on over his looser normal wear. "My cousin Ander used to be part of the town watch in Eltabbar. Whenever they had fires they'd have to wait for the local wizards or clerics to show up to help, but he said they'd wet a cloth and cover their faces to protect them from the worst of the heat and smoke if they had to go inside. And heavy clothes would protect from the heat, even though it would make you sweat more. Of course sounds crazy to me. Crazier than my other cousin's theories on kissing family members. Did you know that in some places, kissing on the cheek is how they shake hands....which...but man, it seems like it was there for the horny old ladies with their prickly face hair and ugly moles to get their jollies out with all the young men. Sorry....oh...right...let's go right."

Celtra smiles at Fulcra. "There is some truth in all that. I will warn you though, that sweating too much or over heating can cause you to pass out," she says and then looks out at the magma. "And I wouldn't want you pass out into that."
She stretches a bit before muttering, "Gods I miss the forge."

OOC: Sorry, had to make it public, somehow assumed if map was visible - description counts to be on the open as well.
"I prefer dry heat," almost apologetically answered Cimeri Fulcra's flood of words, "the moisture makes it's difficult to breath."She let the excessive bits of of speech pass her by, getting used to it by now (Fulcra should really love his cousins, and have a lot of them - some people are blessed beyond measure in this life!) but the idea bout protection she heard. Still, hoping her heat-tolerance should be enough, and in order to conserve water, she decided to go light and dry (not that she had some northern clothes with her anyway).
The discovery of the lava pit was a bit unexpected: Cimeri honestly thought she will run into yet another wall of steam, or smoke. But it was for the better. The cross over did not look that difficult - being wide enough for two people moving shoulder to shoulder, there were no carts on the tracks, so she simply stepped on it and moved forward in a careful but steady pace.
