Torvin will follow the party and at the end of the range of the spell he will end concentration on it. When they get out of sight he will transform back to his human form
After the company has departed, the captain begins swearing, his carefree manner replaced with unconstrained rage. After he has vented he turns to his fellow water genasi. "See to Pike." He mutters, "We'll give Ripple a decent burial." Still cursing under his breath, he storms into his cabin.
Womford does not offer much in the way of accomodation, but a dirty building on the bank of the Dessarin that appears as if it might fall into the river at any minute declares that the upper rooms are for rent, should you wish to stay the night and return to the road in the morning.
We take the room. Tangle settles in, letting the quiet party find their places. Auntie will reposition herself to perch atop the place and keep watch for any trouble. Tangle will sleep for a few hours. The next morning over breakfast she'll discuss options, "Well, now that we're here, we're equal distance from the tower, and to the place they crossed the river. I think I'd suggest we go up river on the western side and try to find tracks, but if most of you prefer to head straight to the tower, we can do that."

The beds creak as if they are about to collapse when you lie down on them, but they're an improvement over the solid ground you've spent the last few nights sleeping on, and you finally get an uninterrupted night's rest. You awake to the sound of a keelboat pushing off from the docks and the yelling of the fisherman. The water genasi and his crew departed Womford sometime late last night.
The sun sparkles through the ash trees that grow near the shore of the river, the river near Womford wide and slow. Tangle looks back at the small group behind her. Balmar and Coldin had left them this morning with little more than a wave, and less of an explanation. The halfling Dawani and the dwarf Torvin followed along behind her, the Kenku Sparks last in line as the four of them picked their way along the rivers edge. Tangle's thoughts ran to their encounter with the river captain. For certain he would hold ill will towards them, and she suspected that was not the last they would see of him. Nagging thoughts around timing, and how the captain had known to be there to ferry the attackers across pulled at her mind, but there was nothing to it. They would work their way up the river and find the truth eventually, of this she was sure. The bush and grass around the trees were stunted, the ground muddy from the unseasonal rains. Auntie picked her way from branch to branch well ahead of them, watching for dangers a few hundred feet up the trail. Sparks flying cat stayed nearer watching over them directly. Hefting a heavy sigh, she presses on, the bubbling of the river waters against the weeded shore soothing her mind of its worries. What they faced, they would face. Tangle begins to hum a wordless tune as they continued along their way.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Scouting around the group, Sparks keeps his eyes open for anything out of the normal. Flutter flies overhead, always on the lookout, especially of flying creatures, after the previous days findings.
Drekkar Bloodsong slowly rises out of bed after a long nights ride. Dressed in a dark riding cloak, and common clothing he makes is way to the main room of the derelict lodge.
Over breakfast in the morning, Balmar and Coldin regretfully take their leave. Developments have recently come to light, and their respective factions have urgent need of their services.

You hit the road early, determined to waste no time in retracing your steps. You walk north for several hours before taking a brief respite from the sweltering sun beneath the shade of an ancient oak beside the road.
Dressed in a black cloak, black studded leather armor with a gold trim (as seen in bio pic) and dark colored pants approaches your party. "Garth Dalyrymple's my name, might glad to meet you."
Casts you a dismissive smile and says "Apparently I am only one of many who are also looking for the delegates" He continues " I have only followed the rumors thus far, and they have only now brought me to you. So either we are all on the right track or we are all on the wrong one. What say you?"

Tangle will leave Auntie behind to watch the boat captain from a perch atop something, trying to stay hidden.

Sparks finds somewhere high to roost for the night.
Dawani will settle in. She thinks she might have been too brash on the boat, but the group needs to find the delegation quickly.

Enter Drekkar!
Dressed in a black cloak, black studded leather armor with a gold trim (as seen in bio pic) and dark colored pants approaches your party. "Garth Dalyrymple's my name, might glad to meet you."
(Edited my original post.)
Drekkar sees an unlikely party consisting of a kenku, a dwarf, a halfling, (and whatever form Tangle is currently in.)
"Interesting traveling companions you all make." Drekkar Continues, "What by the blazes are you doing out this way?"
The kenku, currently perched up in the tree speaks...
"Lookin' for tha missin' delegation." In Coldin's voice.
The kenku has black feathers, black studded leather armor, and currently has a short bow held with arrow drawn and pointed at your chest.
"What by the blazes are you doing out this way?" He says back, in your exact voice.
Casts you a dismissive smile and says "Apparently I am only one of many who are also looking for the delegates" He continues " I have only followed the rumors thus far, and they have only now brought me to you. So either we are all on the right track or we are all on the wrong one. What say you?"
