Tangle’s sword bites into the knight’s ribs, and he ceases laughing.

Coldin!

Coldin decides he doesn't much like the knight and fires a guiding bolt at him.

The knight executes an impressive backwards roll, and the lethal spell misses him by inches. Unfortunately for him, he falls into the path of Sparks, who delivers a brutal hit with his arcane blade.

Balmar!

Balmar charges the knight glad to have a grounded opponent swing his battleaxe letting his rage take hold!(Bonus action: Rage)

Tangle on her next action will continue to fight any grounded opponents, or blast opponents in the air with eldritch blast.

Balmar beheads the knight with a savage swing of his battleaxe, and the knight’s loyal mount retaliates with a piercing scream.

The last remaining rider executes an expeditious retreat, and he is soon lost in the fog. 

Tangle delivers a hit to the giant vulture, but it doesn’t appear to notice as it exacts it’s savage revenge on Balmar.

Torvin!

 Torvin will cast: shillelagh on his staff attacking the vulture: 11   damage: 8 

 After casting he will back away 25'

Torvin”s staff cracks down on the vulture’s head, and it falls.

Combat is over.

Dawani will curse something in Halfling and start looking for items of distinction on the bodies.

Coldin begins looking at the knights body, specifically looking for papers or things that may have come from the delegation.

Coldin and Dawani find a roll of parchment upon which is sketched a map of the Dessarin Valley tucked into the knight’s boot. On the map is a location marked “The Spire,” a few miles east of Red Larch. Beside the site is marked an arrow-like symbol.

Tangle, looking like a half-elf male, walks up and looks at the map.  "I know where that spire is. If it's of interest I can take you there."  

She walks away and looks through Auntie's eyes to watch which direction the fleeing birds go. Also, scan the area, if the birds attacked them here, maybe this is where the ambush people.  Then Tangle herself walks around the edges of the road looking for any signs of combat. 

Sparks will keep an eye out for anything that might still be out there...

Perception:  19

Balmar just sits on the ground nursing his wounds from the knights mount "I can honestly say i have never seen a mount like that." 

The vultures fled west, in the direction of Red Larch and the Spire. Further south down the road, Auntie’s attention is riveted by a swarm of ravens and vultures (of the average size) circling a mile west of the trail.

Without waiting for the group, Tangle heads down the road towards the circling birds, "There's something this way." 

Coldin glances up and then begins following Tangle down the road.

With a shrug Sparks heads off after Tangle as well.

Dawani will move to catch up.

In a small dell a mile off the road, you find the remains of a battle. A dozen soldiers lie on the ground, dressed in red surcoats bearing the emblem of a red axe. Most appear to have died from battle injuries, although some lie in small craters or jumbles of broken rock. Abandoned and looted wagons lie nearby. A couple of broken trunks sit on the ground by the wagons. Two rock cairns—one large and one small—stand atop a hillside nearby.

Tangle, Torvin and Coldin recognize the red axe design as the emblem of Mirabar.
