The Valley of Ends

Salys will follow along with the others and nod his thanks to the clerk before moving back out of the way and dismounting to check Bearskr for any damage, buffing out the occasional scuff, before turning to the others, “Does this happen often?” 

I take a long rest

Onyx offers his service to either keep watch or patch up some of the heavier injured people (have 2 1st and 2 2nd spells left with cure wounds) 

Fingolin will look to get healed and ask around if anyone is selling any potions of healing.

"Only the desperate, stupid or igrant try to attack," A passerby comments to Salys' question.

Onyx offers his assistance and find it's not in high demand but welcomed. 

Fingolin takes a bed for a short while, get healed up before trying to shop around but find people who have potions are not sellers and sellers do not have their stocks on them. 

Elyria heads off to find a bed and some rest for herself. 

(If anyone else has something to do, otherwise i'll take it as party gets a long rest in about a day's time)

Gotch would be interested in finding out if anyone has battle beasts for sale.  he is more asking around for now, looking for mounts in particular, but something a bit more dangerous than a riding horse.  If no mounts, then a beast that can be a fighting companion.

(OOC: reading up on goblins a bit more, having minions and beasts are something they do a lot of.  I want to bring that more into Gotch here, and, with his summoning specialty, having an animal companion would be something he would be quite interested in.  More than one eventually, but have to start somewhere.)

Cardinal sells many things but mounts and steeds are something they don't have in stock. 

The party finds beds prepared for many people, a few parties have walls create from Stone Shape by Clerks upon request. For some, it takes time to relax from the adrenaline and fighting highs but exhaustion takes over in time and everyone gets a long rest. In the morning, with an all clear from dark clerks, doors in the shelter are open and people are allowed to leave as they wish.

The party is waken by a Clerk and taken to the elevator, taking them up the tower. A platform raises as soon as the party steps on and shoots up the tower within seconds to deliver the party to a circular office with glass looking out to the city. Valeri is standing in front of the party with his hands in his back in his black suit, slicked back hair and pointy goatee. 

"I see you have gain new allies and lost some since our last appointment," Valeri states as he starts move to a near by table where several items are laying, "I understand you did the city a great service in it's defense and thus I like to reward you for your actions. This is a banker's note for 120 platinum pieces which if you take to a clerk downstairs, will be paid to you," He indicate a rolled up parchment. 

"Onward to more importance. I take it believe you know of Lyrant? These items were left with the innkeeper along with this note which I have not read. She request and was given a Amulet of Proof against Detection and Location before depart with the relic shortly after my dark clerks clear up the city," Valeri gestures to magic items Periapt of Wound Closure & Weapon, +1 Warhammer and a scroll container.

"I suspect you may have question and you have earn answers to an extent," 

"I am Fingolin, newcomer to your city and dimension. You seem to have gotten everything under control rather quickly after an attack of that scale. Was the enemy that clueless about the defenses of your city? Or was their goal to test you?"

Fingolin looks through the window to see what's the extent of damage to the city.

Perception:20

"Their goal seems more of an announcements, they incited the wraith of the major groups. I can not say with absolute certainty but this attack was just first wave but I do not believe the follow up attack will take place here. We are dealing with undead, they possibly wish to create a death to undead to create more death. I believe they are mostly likely following a death god but that is just speculation," Valeri states without taking his eyes off everyone or changing his posture. 

Looking out the windows from his position, Fingolin can't really tell extent of the damage as he's quite high up. There are signs of buildings have been damaged but no large missing chucks of the city. 

Onyx rummages in his bag untill he finds the old bat like holly symbol they found weeks ago. 

"We had a run in with those guys some time ago, when we were traveling in Legion Territorry. Does this symbol tell you anything?" 

Salys keeps his mouth closed and eyes and ears open, still trying to get a handle on this strange new realm.

Valeri looks at the symbol for a moment, "That is the holy symbol of Zotzilaha or Camazatoz, an old Olman god of their underworld. He has a few variants of name and attributes. I can not say for sure they worship him or merely using his power for their means. Like many Olman practices , his practices fell from grace and he was forgotten which is how he could end up in the Valley as a discard and dead god,"

(Olman are D&D"s verison of Aztecs. If anyone is or want to be from Greyhawk plane (i'm assuming most of you are from Fearun) can make a History check)

Gotch rubs a hand over his bald head, looking to the others, then back to the town's leader.  "I'm guessing you didn't just bring us here to give us these things and reward us for our aid, is there something you wish of us?"

"I have no motives. I am merely expressing my gratitude for your assistance of your own will. I am meeting each party who assist. I have three other parties I will attend to when you leave. I would be a fool not to show gratitude when someone has done a great service to my city," Valeri explains.

Letter from Lyrant if anyone read it

Onyx will pick up the religious symbol again and Lyrants items as well. He will take a quick look into the scroll container as well.

“We are not sure were to go from here, but if we would want to hinder this zomby army a little bit, where would we need to go, or who would we need to talk to? Hypothetical speaking. Like i said, we are still weighting our options at the moment.“

After placing Lyrant's letter back on the desk, Resfaen will whisper a silent prayer for her safe travels.

Agreeing with Onyx, "I am all for killing more undead wherever they might be. Getting rid of those abominations from this world needs to be done."

"Information on this undead force is being investigated as we speak. Leads are being checks and people of interest are being talked to as we speak. I ask if you have information to pass it on but not interfere with ongoing investigations. If we need muscle, i know we can call upon people such as yourselves. If a god is actually involved, we may take precautions not to strength them as well," Valeri explains.

„We‘ll take our leave then.?“ Onyx looks questionily to his companions if they have anything else to say, before he nods a goodby to Valeri and leaves.
