The Valley of Ends

"Interesting, Green light are souls? Then that would a new branch of Necromancy or something," a very scholarly young man states Gotch recognizes as Toshi, who brought the manual, "Typically what a soul is white or bluish white when an individual is revived or their soul is within a Soul Cage. Why do you attribute green to this?"

"I'd love to know how that thing works..." Gotch says as he holds the eyeglass up and takes a look.

Onyxs hand and view flinch to his Lantern for a split second. Not sure if the new person noticed it, Onyx stays with a version of the truth: „I used a magical object to cast a spell, that allowed me to pull back a part of a dead persons consciousness into his body and ask him 5 question. A green light entered the body, answered my questions and then left again. I assumed it was the persons Soul that returned back to the body for a moment.“

"Speaking with the dead has nothing to do with the soul of the decreased. ITs just your magic animating the dead's corpse to speak words," Toshi states as his eye darts to the lantern for a moment, "How this item does it has more to do with the creator's magic. You think this is one of the Platinum Artist's Creations?" Many of the individuals in the room pause as they think about it.

"It's not improbable but too controlled, too logically of a build," Another points out with another round of nods.

„An apprentice or a joint project with someone else?“

Salys looks over, “Platinum Artist?”

The individuals look at the party, then each other before Toshi steps forward and ushers the party away down a level as the rest continue their discussions.

"The Platinum Artist was a deity of the Forge domain, along side Gond or Reorx of some realms. However, the Platinum Artist's creed of no limits even beyond Gond's standards meant followers tend to expire due to accidents so worships declined until the Artist fell and their name were wiped away due to the dangerous of their creations associated but a few remain here and there outside the Valley such as the Wand of Wonder or the Deck of Many things," Toshi pauses as take a drink from his water bag on his side. 

"Within the valley however, the Artist is one of the more active deity, creating all manner of magic items with it's traits and abilities. Some items that grows with the user, gaining abilities from the user, some that unlocks more of it's strength, these are known as Platinum Weapons. The Artist is behind many, many odds creation here and there but it's hard to pinpoint what is her and what is an imitation as well or just a norm of another dimension," 

"Well, what do you want us to do about this construct in the forest?" Gotch asks the question he is sure will bring this back to why they were called to look at the thing.

"You all nothing in particular. We were informed you were in the forest several times in recently times. Thought you may have some insight or something and partly to warn you should you take more jobs involving the forest," The official states, "Also to pass on the information during your travels. You're free to leave if you wish,"

„Cities getting overrun by mutated undead, giant constructs, magicians trying to resurect deities or to ascend themself... is this day to day life here or would you call it unusually busy  at the moment? „

"The events on their own are actually normal but the rate of them recently is concerning of course," the official states. 

Salys looks to his companions, "They said they've got this, but I'm curious. If you wanted to go investigate, I'd follow you."

(Did we sell the random book collection from the mansion to the librarian or just the manual?)

Onyx absentmindly touches his Lantern: „ This Plainum Artist and his followers is quite powerfull judging by the limited experiance i have with his work and the fact that the Legion or the Librarrian don‘t just simplly stop that construct out there. While i would love to examine that thing, i would say we need to be carefull not to get in over our head. Maybe we should discuss this over breakfast.“ Turning back to the Librarrian: „Toshiy, we have a few more books that may interrest you, nothing as powerfull as the manuell, but research journalls and such, if you are interrested maybe you can drop by later and we can show you?“

During our stay here, what would be the best place to examine the Armor or the Whip for curses or hidden sentiances?

"I am a Librarian, this construct while a matter of interest is not a matter of concern for the Library. The LIbrary remains neutral in conflcits unless you have taken something from us," Toshi explains in his monotone, "If you have something of interest I will offer a fair price then,"

"Simply stop it? That thing  is treating tree like toys. If you want a closer look, you're free to try. I'm not sending my people on a suicide run," The official states. 

You can't examine the items for curses or hidden sentience without attuning, using or triggering it. 

Gotch is going to spend some time with the animal vendors.  he will purchase 2 more dire wolves and 2 sabertooth tigers.

While doing so he will post his add for a pair of animal trainers.

What are the terms of employment for the trainers? For how long, living arranements and etc.

"Well at least there is plenty of evil in this land to be cleansed, and if I want to stand up to this evil I must better equip myself. I Will be ready when you all are ready to venture back out into the darkness." Resfaen says and then she will make her way to the nearest blacksmith.

I would like to look into commissioning work to be made on a Battleaxe (preferred or another weapon if it is cheaper). To essentially make a Weapon with the Flametongue properties but dealing radiant damage instead of fire.

The Blacksmith gives a long "erhh... I am not that kind of blacksmith. That's kind of that magic shop makes. I can forge the blade but can not make it magical," 

At Magnificent Marvels shop, "You sure you want a radiant Flame tongue? If you have the blueprints of a Sun Blade, we would easily modify it to be a battleaxe," The flamboyant goliath in long hanging violet robes speaks.

With Gotch, the Trainers look across the tables at the gobnlin sat across from him, "So You want us to train your animals in your magical house? What do you want to them to do exactly? If you just want us to train the 4 wolves and tigers or you planning a zoo?"
