The Valley of Ends

"Rumors are generally just rumors, put too much stock, you'll find yourself penniless," She states as she gesture to the central table, "As you can see, my home is not made for guests but what you can then tell why are you snooping around my home?" She sits down in the only functional chair at the round table.

Onyx looks around and find nothing more than what Peach had seen but he feels the fur on back of his neck is standing up so much, he think he could cut someone with it. 

Salys steps in curiously looking around to see if anything is hidden behind invisibility or perhaps in the ethereal plane and glances at Gotch to see if anything else appears magical.

Investigation: 23

Gotch would make sure to have detect magic up prior to entering... He would also have Sabastian looking around.

Resfaen will look around at the group and then speak with the lady, "Well to be honest we had not planned on investigating your home. We have done several missions for the city here dealing with a lot of undead in the area. And now on one of our last missions we encountered an entity called the Oblex that seems to like to infiltrate large communities. We decided when we came back to town to check things out and this part of the city seemed like a good place to start, so hear we are. And since spending the day here we had heard the rumors and continued our investigation here. Which then led us to you." At which point Resfaen looks around the place, "Which after looking around the place do you not blame us, we don't mean to intrude but we have come to be very protective of this place."

Gotch sees evocation coming from the flames floating in the air. The woman has several aura around her body but they seem to be items on her body rather than her.

She listens to Resfaen but her eyes darts across the room as the others look around before turning back to Resfaen, "While you are not the toasy of town, I keep an ear to the ground. I've heard of your group, while nameless, it has it's stranger mix that make it stand out," She waves her hands before conjuring a dirty bottle of alcohol. She takes a swig of it before sliding across the table, "I pay my taxes for my dwelling same as the next. Maybe I'll pay an unannounced visit to your dwelling when I'm in the area. Depending what you can offer, I may be able to help you with your Oblex situation," With a wave of her hand across the table, sheet of paper floats onto the table. 

Onyx seams to be torn between moving closer to look at the papers and backing out of the door. He is clearly uncomfortable here.

The sheet is visibility blank.

"I am a diviner. I can find what is lost but I know how to become lost. You coming across my home while it was lost means you are either lucky, fated or marked by one of the gathering," she states.

„The Gathering...the old Lady who could manipulate fate and lives somewhere in a hut in this big ocean of trees...“ Nyx says loud, but more to himself then anybody in particular.

 “What does that mean? One of the gathering?”

"What are you wanting for your aid?" Gotch says, conjuring a chair for himself and taking a seat at the table. The chair he creates glows slightly. he steeples his hands and looks to the woman.

"The Fate Weaver, she is part of the Gathering. The Gathering is a collection of witches for most parts. When I would emphasis as well, Witch not Hag," She holds up her finger up as to emphasize it, "Watches are a different breed than Hags. Witches are from a plane and world that is apparently on the outer edge of the multiverse called Golarion but that is unimportant at the moment. We're closer to what you called Wizards and Warlocks but that's just to keep it simple," 

"As for payment, amuse me with your offers. I'm not one for large sums of money. I get enough to get by with telling fortunes and you're a break from the norm. I'm not like the Fate Weaver in I don't deal in twisting fate or luck," She explains, "I'm a simple witch. I deal in normal things," 

„I could offer some flameskull teath and some hellhound fire glands...“

"Only you know what you are willing to take in exchange for aiding us in finding this slime thing." Gotch says with a sigh. "If you don't have a price in mind then I don't wish to waste my time by offering you things until you decide something is worth your while. And I frankly have nothing I wish to trade for it, unless you wish me to cast a spell for your amusement." He looks to the othres, nodding at the offer of some of the items they took from some of their downed foes.

“Perhaps we can offer you several days of service. We are a capable and ambitious group.”

"You're boring," She points to Gotch before turning to Onyx, "How many you're offering? I'm not in need of service per say." To almost emphasis it, she moves her hand around, casting Prestidigitation to clean up some of the surface and even a broken chair reassemble and starts moving around with a life of itself

I take one of the papers from the table and write down nothing. (edit to reflect her reaction)

I try to hide what i am writing from the others. (Slight of hand? )

"I need that," She pulls the paper away as Onyx reach for it, "If you got spare sheets, write your own stuff. I need this for divination. Set the teeth on the table and we have a deal. One set of Flameskull teeth for the location of the Oblex,"

“That is fine by me.“ Onyx replies and takes out the teath and puts them on the table.

That seemed to be a lot easier than I thought it would take to buy her information, Resfaen thinks. "I hope you don't mind but I also need to make sure you are speaking the truth. We do not know each other at all and trust is earned over time."

At which point Resfaen will cast a spell in front of the old woman in a non threatening way as possible.

Zone of Truth

Salys listens carefully to her description of the gathering and the witches, "My apologies, miss, I wish I could say otherwise, but the events I've found myself thrust into since arriving here lend themselves more towards mild paranoia and vampires in houses than such an understanding host, especially under such unfortunate circumstances as these. Instead of an unannounced visit to our residence, perhaps we could invite you over for dinner some time? It would give us an opportunity to be your hosts and we could all share our stories, of this land and beyond. With any luck, we could all find ourselves entertained for an evening, thoughts uncluttered by death and gloom."
