The Valley of Ends

"I am ready to go when you are." Robin says, though she is not quite certain she fully understands what is going on.

Resfaen, "Ready to go and will follow your lead, just tell me where to strike."

"Rather bloodthirsty and vengeance lot, What about you three? Any question before these three decide to go hunting? I do not know what you don't know but I like to think I know a lot and I like this demigod off my frront lawn as it were," The seer turns to Rogi, Del and Salys.

Salys listens with a slight frown, trying to make sense of what he's hearing. After a few moments, "Why does this Warden care about tributes from us specifically? Just because we had the lantern? More to the point, they seem to have a way of tracking us, but its very imperfect as they found our residence, in its own pocket dimension no less, but apparently couldn't find us. Also, you said we have an hour to prepare, assuming that's the time it takes to attune, why the rush on its part?"

"I'm working with Crow Whisperer's notes and they are a mess to be quite honest as she overshares when it's something interest. The Warden is upset with a lack of tributes. Simple observation. He track you to your residence probably by asking about how anyone with a green growing lantern and most of the city knows about your pocket dimension in the wall. Some of the kids like to dare each other to knock on it," The seer replies as she shuffle through the pages, strangely upon observation, she shuffle through the papers, she seem to shuffled through a few dozen papers but only about three or four are in hand.

"Life (Human) Nature if you have been looking for a powerful magic item and finally got. Would you rush to try and get it working as fast as you can? The Lantern while in possession of scythe means nothing as the Lantern will not function as if you got your hands on the scythe while keeping the lantern. Only one item in the set works while not attuned the set through it takes one attunement slot, a Platinum Artist's developed trait, and often the one which had longer contact takes priority? I think is the proper word. If it takes its time, then it'll just wielding the scythe, while strong it's stronger with attuned to Warden's set,"

“I would rather say sense of urgency then bloodlust. I know how powerfull one item is, i don’t really want to see a killer with two of them. …I already used one charge of the Lantern in the morning when questioning people, so unless it gets more powerfull, it will only have two charges of the shield left. Still powerfull enough that i would like to find him before he gets used to it… You said you had an arcane eye follow him, could you show us the way as far as you were able to follow?” Onyx asks the Seer.

“Does any of you got a way to enheance my traking skills?”

Robin nods. "I can aid you in your tracking, but simply to give you better ability to use your own natural skills." She will cast fortune's favor on Onyx just before they leave. It lasts for an hour, and gives them a single luck point, which they can use to reroll one D20 roll. Robin will also stay within 30 feet of Onyx, which will allow her to use her Chrono Shift ability, which will also give Onyx another chance at the roll, if they fail the roll even with the luck reroll option. In addition, Robin will constantly be casting guidance on Onyx, to add a D4 to their checks.

The Seer points to a toy dog hanging off one of the many string and with a snap, it comes to life as the striong holding it up undoes itself, dropping it to the ground, "That will led you along the eye's path while it saw the Specter. The Eye itself is patrolling the perimeter of my domain at the moment but I would like to hear from your two silent," She snickers a bit before turning to Rogi or Del, "comrades. Do I scare you now?"

Del has been looking away, and snaps back to paying attention. “Folks, I understand if you feel a personal investment in searching for this Scythe, but this seems like a distraction from bigger things. I have to get back to pursuing the investigation of the Legion. If this means we’re parting ways, then I wish you luck, and hope we me meet again.” 

“You are right, there are some personal feelings involved. But on a bigger picture, the lantern is a powerful artefact. Two of those in the hands of someone who likes to murder, that is dangerous. But if you feel the need to leave, i wish you all the best until we meet again.”

Onyx seams very determined to track down the murderer as fast as he can safely do.

The Seer leans back in her chair after seeing a reaction, "Not quite the reaction I was expecting but I can see you have your mind on another threat of the Undead. The Valley is beieged by many threats in the Valley, seen and unseen, and Undead Cult is vast very visible one I will say. I'm a witch with little in way of attack I can assist if you wish to depart," She waves her hand and a toy soldier free itself from a string, it stands up straight saluting, "If you follow him, he'll take you through the maze of the mining section away from where the specter went and towards the rest of the city. Well there goes what I was planning," She points her finger at Robin and cast her own Fortune's Favor on her. 

For those who full the Toy Dog, they are lead by very quick toy through the direction they came from and into a series of high buildings that seem to center of the district. The Seer's voice comes from the toy: "This was the central district of the mining facility before the Valley took it. The tall building is...Administration? Crow Whisperer's notes once again. There's the smelter just to the left of it where they well melt down the ores, The Processing to the right of smeltery and the storage building and beyond that. To your right of Administration, is the old dorms. My eye has no fully explored the building due to size of them. The specter with lantern ran in this direction and i had the eye scout out the smaller builds near by and found nothing,"

Once they reach the area, Onyx will start to look for traces that may give a hint wich building is the most promising to start.

Onyx couches down checks the group for tracks and find many tracks leading off into the buildings. what looks like two set of boots, one leading off towards the Storage or processing building. Another set heading towards the dorms. There are a myriad of other footsteps, claws, pads and others, a bulk of them towards the administration building and larger one going towards the smeltery. 

Wich set of boots seams to be the biggest? I am looking for a very large/huge human. From the descriptions so far i would assume a Goliath. Large person, large boots. Think Shaquile O’Neil.

The slightly bigger of the footsteps of humanoid nature is heading towards the dorms. 

Salys is quietly following along, readying himself to fire on anything hostile.

Robin is with the others. She follows along, keeping close enough to Onyx to recast Guidance as needed.

“There are a lot of tracks here, but i think our guy went to the dorms. There appears to be two humanoids hiding here. One in the processing building and one in the dorm. The dorm one seems to be the bigger one, so i think that is the better bet.” ,Onyx explains quietly, “ a lot of different creatures there and something big there.” Pointing out the buildings.

He then casts pass without trace and carefully proceeds toward the dorms.

With stealthy footsteps and direction, the groups enters the ruins of the dorms but the footsteps are lost among the debris and stone that litter the ground. They begin their search of the grounds floor by floor, taking their time to be through in search.

On the third floor, they come across a set of partial footsteps and several trip wires, following the steps leads them to what seems like a large sleeping figure covered by a blanket.

Does it look like the description of the assassin? Do we see either the lantern or the scyth? What time is it? How much light do we have?
